GraGra247:I'd prefer if you quote me with good logic and reasonable arguments next time instead of a truckload of sentiments. I don't fare well with gutter chats. Enjoy your day. |
Not sure the animals you mentioned have that level up brain power. |
Lovely! |
AsherAmari:I like how you ignored the nasty kid who quoted you first. ![]() |
Lmao... ladies always complain about men that snore, now this! Sorry, I don't have any advice for you. Or are you thinking of chaining her? |
BluDesk:She is always on point. One doesn't even have to spend up to a week on NL to know how Nigerians view and treat women. Féminisme is out to change that and not to hate or be wicked towards men. Forget about sensational headlines and out of context stuff people write and listen to her full speeches and interviews. I'm certain you'd definitely admire her even if you don't agree with everything she says. |
This is lovely. |
It's not that expensive. |
She looks so beautiful. Makeups definitely make some people more beautiful but not everyone needs it. |
If it would give the expected result, why then did they bother to put an expiry date on the product? |
GraGra247:So you think one has to be a feminist to appreciate her hardwork? Does that mean you guys were cursing her just cause she's a woman? It's funny you somehow believe this thread justifies the insults and curses she got when the award was announced. Do you even understand how illogical it is to use today's news to justify the hateful comments y'all made on that thread? See, I don't care if it comes out tomorrow that she stole the award. When this award was announced, the thread was filled with curses. It's not like any of you cursing her then and saying those hateful things knew the award wasn't directly from the UN. So this does not in any way justify the reaction; at least, not the ones I quoted. Ronald Kayanja of the UN said the organization that gave the award probably only has a consultative status with the UN and as such, the award isn't a UN award. However, while the title of the award is misleading, it is a form of recognition nevertheless. Even if it's her village people that gave it to her, it means someone is seeing what she's doing. She's doing something no matter how small. The fact that you even assumed my gender based on the fact that I stood against the insults y'all were dishing out simply shows you're more in tune with sexism than logic. |
Lol... ce pays est tellement drôle. |
Sleeping around is not good for many reasons. I love your advice but I don't buy into this idea of feeling better than certain people cause you didn't do certain things when you could be doing worse. Again, disregarding the wedding of people who got pregnant before the white wedding event is like playing God. Nobody's wedding is invalid. The words you used to got my attention. Dishonored, defiled, etc. and then what happens afterwards? The couple still goes home happily. I understand Christians need to do what makes them acceptable by thier religion but we need to understand that the concept of white wedding (and wedding in general) is a social construct that came into existence over time as a way of recognizing two people as being together. Two families coming together to give their blessings in the presence of eye witnesses and maybe an officiating person is still a valid marriage. The nitty-gritties of the ceremony shouldn't be a reason to invalidate certain types of marriage cause these things change with time. Where they using rings during the time of Jesus? If not, what makes a traditional marriage ceremony any less biblical than a white wedding if people still pray during the ceremony? Getting pregnant before marriage is not cool if you intend to eventually raise a family. Aside from any religious implications, marriage helps to keep the society organized. But when it happens, it has happened. What do you want them to do? Kill themselves? It's not our duty to start telling them how they're doomed. Marriage is a recognition of union (legal contract in today's terms). Every other thing is ceremony/cultural processes, and these processes differ extensively from place to place, religion to religion etc. And no ceremony is superior to the other. Ordinarily, a white wedding is not superior to traditional marriage ceremony. But because legal papers are only signed during the white wedding, it has become a source of legal recognition. But then again, traditional marriage ceremony plus court wedding would still be valid. However, just like every other aspect of culture, one is always expected to fulfill the requirements defined by their society, religion, etc. and if your church says you must follow certain processes (white wedding) to be recognized, not doing so would only make you rebellious. If one insists white wedding is the only recognized form of marriage, then the question would be which of the activities of the day denotes this recognition? The ring? Not all churches use rings. The dressing? White isn't even compulsory. The presence of priests/pastors? Anybody can officiate a white wedding, priests/pastors are only given the honor. The prayers? You can always pray even in a court wedding. With all these exceptions, it's clear white wedding is just a ceremony which can be in different forms. Which form is the recognized one? I'm not undermining white wedding. I'm just trying to let you see that our way isn't necessarily the only way. I conform to rules and I follow due processes but I don't go out of my way to tell others theirs are inferior or unacceptable. Do you and let others do them. #MyOpinion |
You're asking NL people who never see anything wrong in whatever a man does? Lol... save yourself the time. |
That's a python, right? You should probably let it go. |
Lol... I remember when Joe Biden mistakenly referred to Kamala Harris as "president". Nairaland people quickly built their conspiracy theories around that. |
Aconomist:So we shouldn't shed light on the ugly happenings in Africa because we want to protect her image? Lol... your type wouldn't even report a rape case to the police to avoid embarrassment. Rape is becoming a culture and the media has a role to play in bringing people's attention to this. I don't know why men like to treat the crimes that come from them with kid gloves. |
PDJT: TheEnygma:But a particular gender seems to be intoxicated by that power, right? Besides, brute force is about physical strength. We know that's different from power. I do hope these men that rape ladies see this. And I also I hope you remember to remove gender when your fellow men start typing "fear women" whenever a crime is committed by the female gender. |
Hintona:At their time, oil was the future and they utilized it very well. They made thier money when oil was the future so they have nothing to be disappointed about. There's nothing to drag with them cause their wealth is already established and they can easily invest in the tech industry if it comes to that. However, it's your time now and it's up to you to make your money now that tech is the future or you'd be the one "disappointed". |
Millimann:You guys and this your narrative. It's as if it gives you some kind of joy to think it’s only men women live for. |
Ogamysamo:I am. Thanks! |
BassReeves:Lol... at a point, I thought I was chatting with an adult. Nice one! ![]() |
BassReeves:I wasn't referring to the video content actually. I was talking about the the visual elements like lighting, framing, composition, camera motion, camera angles, lens choices, zoom, focus, color, exposure, filtration, etc. I couldn't care less about naked women dancing. |
I don't like the song but I like the video quality. The song would probably do well in clubs. |
Probz:Any Igbo soul? |
faceland:I wish I had more information to share. I listen to podcasts myself but I don't live in Nigeria. Unlike blogs which you can easily stumble upon while navigating the internet, people have to mindfully search for podcasts about subjects that appeal to them. This means you'll have to be specific and consistent. Good luck sir. |
