The shamelessness of it all! Some of you on this platform are just... I don't know. These are the men Nigerian women are left with. How sad. |
You could have actually asked to be taught the language without making mockery of thier struggles. Anyway, I'm here too. Maybe I could learn one or two words! |
pompeiimagnus:Lmao... please, save me this illogical mantra. You don't even have the slightest idea how self contradicting you sound when you praise men that sleep around and criticise women they sleep with. |
JovialJune:The majority of the homophobic people in Africa always has the expression "they are forcing it down our throats" on thier lips. This expression has come to become a mantra amongst homophobes. So when a gay person suddenly picks on something the homophobes do just to use that expression, you need not to be told he's only trying to give them a dose of thier own medicine. Funny thing is that you just used the expression yourself "force it on people" and that's the point; just like the Bible in the hotel doesn't force anything on anyone, I don't see how a gay person's life is forced on you. Don't be blinded by emotions, listen to your own words and get the message. As for your first question, no one goes around labeling it "sarcasm" while being sarcastic. And you're certainly not expected to be in someone's mind to know someone is being sarcastic. You're expecting to deduce that using common sense. So asking if I was in his mind to have known he was being sarcastic doesn't really reflect well on you. I mean, is it that you've never deduced sarcasm before? Anyway, nothing serious. I just hope you see how less emotionally charged my response is. If you must quote me again, please try to do the same. I don't do well with fallacious arguments. |
bluskyee:I don't really agree with this. One of the reasons Africa is way behind is the inability of the people to evolve. The fear of change and the desire to hold on to some practices that favour a few on the grounds of "it has always been like that" only makes us stagnant. Even a closed culture like the Chinese still knows when to adjust. A non progressive society is like facal matter in the body, it becomes toxic over time. Besides, what we have today is just selective preservation of culture. We only keep those that please the custodians. |
Lol... isn't it shocking you guys don't see the sarcasm here? The guy is only passing a message to all those saying gay people are "forcing it down their throats". That's a very ridiculous thing to say cause it's as senseless as this hotel and bible story. That's the point here. |
Being a pastor/priest does not wipe away one's sexuality. |
The way the men here are defending cheating on the man's side or making light of it while trying to shift the focus to ladies is just bizarre. Asking to be respected and obeyed like a god at home is not enough, you now want to normalise sleeping around too? You really want your spouses to love, respect and obey your instructions like a dog knowing fully well you sleep around? And you're defending this as your culture? The way some of you men in Africa think is just.... mind blowing. |
Dalil8:I don't think it's cheating when the other party is aware and decides to stay with or without conditions. It's cheating when you promise exclusiveness and default. |
So I added 3% to my list. Current list: 1) Snowpiercer 2) Into The Night 3) 3% |
Calibrator:This had better be true! I think she's the only one that can fight Mr. Wilfred. Layton is good but the fact that he isn't an engineer means he can easily be played. |
Pochettino:I think camouflaging as a woman in order to type "we women are..." on every thread is okey if you're a kid. But if you're an adult ... |
Title says "Nigerians" while the body cites a nameless critic on Instagram. |
Beautiful dogs. |
nani667:So Mélanie is gone?! @bolded, you forgot to add "painfully". |
Tell him you aren't interested. |
kekakuz:Great! |
I was going to order a pair. 665 were sold in less than one minute. That's crazy marketing! |
Sorry, OP. Seeing any of my pets like this would definitely break me. Have you taken him to the hospital for diagnosis/tests? Any prescriptions yet? Also ensure whatever it is is not transmissible. You should take extra care of him after this knowing how prone he is to diseases. Please, don't kill it like people are suggesting (it's funny how some people would be in their houses and be advising you to kill a companion without caring to know what he means to you). However, if you ever decide to call that route, take him to a vet for mercy killing (euthanasia). |
It's always all about se.x |
I believe white wedding is a religious norm. It's neither wrong nor compulsory. It can be seen as a prayer session held during a marriage ceremony. While the presiding person mustn't necessarily be a priest/pastor, there's no better person to lead this prayer than the church leader. The couple has parents but the four parents cannot all be presiding at the same time. Besides, for religious people, church leaders are ordained by God, so they fit into the God's role in the Garden of Eden better than the parents. Signing of the legal papers in the presence of the witnesses is the major activity of the day. Other things like the the white gown, the rings, etc. are not compulsory. But the again, every society has its cultures and if your religious society says this is what the process is to be identified as couple, I don't see anything wrong with it. It doesn't hurt anyone to follow rules provided they don't hurt anyone. Everything mustn't be explicitly written in the bible. Even the idea of having visa before you can enter some countries is unbiblical. |
Lol... this is funnier than any video they would have made. What were they thinking? You just walk to the entrance of the government house to do showbiz. They should have also entered inside... |
I love the Weeknd! Burna boy is doing great! |
Aconomist:Lmao... 'The black skin' was used figuratively. I meant the black man; i.e. the black race in general. |
Here is the one downtown. I once had an embarrassing moment here when I was teen. But OP, why are you always coming hard on the black skin? Do you hate yourself? Just curious.
|
So you now think foreigners can kill fowls better than your women too? Lol... you guys! |
Just like in the movies, Africans are cursing and spinning up conspiracy theories while the rest of the world is thinking ahead. They don't even read to understand what is written. |
Tabbyjones:If they ask whether you've been denied visa before, simply answer honestly. I see no reason to be dishonest. @bolder, I don't think it's up to you to decide how long is long enough to justify not telling them. People get denied visa cause of these unnecessary lies. |
This was my comment on the thread about FFK who eventually took the Covid-19 vaccine after all his conspiracy theories. I think the suggestion also applies here. WoundedLamb:OP, I don't disbelieve you. What you said is very possible and even likely. But to avoid misinformation, I suggest you share this as your personal conviction because that's exactly what it is seeing that you don't really have any proof. The way you wrote this, one would think you actually worked with these guys. Meanwhile, it's just what you think might be the case. Honestly, I wouldn't blame the mods of they delete it. |
NiklauseFred:No, I don't think it was a harmless compliment and he/she could be punished for that. People feel uncomfortable when naked in front of strangers. Complimenting thier private parts doesn't make it any better. Besides, a professional nurse is never meant to make such remarks about a patient's nudity. |
OgaRico:It was clearly a suggestion. Words like "should", "let's", etc. made that obvious, and I gave reasons for my suggestion which you're free to counter. If you had read the post to the end, you'd have seen where I gave an example of what a statement of fact looks like. |
DoubleFingers:I sincerely don't think that singular dream is enough reason to call off your wedding plans. The dream could have been triggered by many things especially when the lady was actively looking girl a revelation. Her mind was obviously hyperactive. Just my opinion though. Best of luck! |
