TheGift:Abi o..Of all uk politicians, Putin will probably prefer Russian speaking Boris. |
ken6488:Definitely not. Just trying to dispel false narratives. Boris is wise in a negative way and his party/cabinet is fed up of having him as their party chairman. They are also to blame though, they knew he had no integrity but stood by him for so long. His plan was to surround himself with unfit people so that he looks good, or better than they are. One example is a minister was accused of and found guilty of bullying the civil servants that work with her he agreed to paying them hundreds of thousands and kept her in office. He basically will cover up for any wrong behavior of people that support him. He was changing the rules that govern how bad they have to behave for them to resign positions. It has come back to bite his behind. He has been trying to coverup some more bad behavior of another supporter. Now the others are turning against him. Good riddance I say. |
ken6488:He is not leaving because the citizens are demonstrating or anything. All his minsters are resigning and many people in his party don’t want to work in his cabinet with him anymore. They are tired of defending the indefensible. He has no integrity basically. |
ken6488:Not one single UK person thinks it has anything to do with Putin.. He is not leaving because of the economy or anything like that, He is leaving because he has no integrity. He lies and lies and lies and then makes his ministers defend his lies and then some more.. Full stop |
Adjovi:Where is the cause and effect. |
Delacroix6:I tire too o. |
All these our so called African leaders ehn, they lack knowledge. Instead of using extra long spoon to dine with this woman, or not even dine at all. Her family was sent out of Uganda by the dictator Idi Amin when he sent all Asians packing in the early 1970s..and many of them had been in the country for generations and had so much wealth invested in the country. They lost everything. Her family sought asylum in the UK because UK opened its arms to them. Pls let it enter these African skulls that madam hates you all with a vengeance even if you are not Ugandan but just black. She is tripping…stay clear. A word is enough for the wise..ok, I forget, our leaders are not. |
The commandment says: You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbour. Basically, no one should amass the common wealth to himself and deprive any other Nigerian. All politicians need to repent and stop sinning immediately. |
Uk also made it easier to remove uk citizenship quietly, not only from people like him but also from anybody that has anything to do with another country even if they have never been there. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2021/nov/17/new-bill-quietly-gives-powers-to-remove-british-citizenship-without-notice |
This happens quite often. What happens is a chairman is asked by his baba to bring someone to use for the process. He might be finding it difficult to get someone but then along comes a friend telling him about his own struggles. Chairman then sees the opportunity to complete his own job by lying to his friend that he can take him to see his baba for help. |
Just as Russia is now recruiting from the Syrian Army, they want many foreigners in their country too. Is there something they think is eventually going to happen to them that they would like foreigners to experience? If Russia says it is daybreak, you should look out of the window to confirm. |
Live and let live. It has probably just over time, become tradition. It reminds me of how many European churches will have their congregation wait after Sunday service for tea and biscuits so that they can meet one another. Many Nigerian churches in diaspora have picked the tradition up and serve jollof rice or meat pie and drinks after service - will be nice if it is done every Sunday Nigerian churches are free to hold any day or night church service including crossover if they want to. Oyinbo churches don’t do it. Even night vigils are strange and sound ridiculous to them. It is not their cup of tea. |
Maybe Wike is buy helping to build another federal road from Akure to Ekiti State. After all he has completed the one from Old GRA to Bayelsa State.. |
I am sorry, all this technology without some intelligent thinking to their implementation or credibility. Many people can not even register their NIN to their mobile numbers because the providers are using software that isn’t full proof to verify pictures and we are still complicating matters..na wa o |
So why did “school-father” relationship stop? Ah yes I know. It is always because the son craves independence and no longer wants to be used and directed by the father to do chores that the father should be doing by himself. So if the relationship broke down, father now hates son. So more reason he will be part of the culprits.. |
Hayastark:All that jungle justice does is fraction of justice. What if there are other evidence or victims in the building. They should investigate and look into every wall cavity before they do any destruction.. |
I don’t understand why we cannot try other ideas. There are different solutions that we can amend to suit Nigeria. In the Uk, every student that is a citizen automatically qualifies for student loan if they want one. The loan body pays the school fees directly to the schools and the students also get money for their upkeep each term or year. The upkeep part even gives them more than enough to live on but in Nigeria, parents and families can still handle this. There are pros and cons. Some students never pay back all or part of the loan because the loan will only start being deducted from their salaries if they get jobs that are above a certain salary amount. Students become indebted for many years. A positive is that universities have funds that they need. As we are talking Nigeria, we will need laws that will make sure any corrupt person diverting or stealing loan money meant for students should be made to pay it back and go to jail for 50 years. |
Of course I can't speak to the credibility of degrees awarded at baze University but all I can talk to is the complete overhaul that Nigeria and its democracy needs. Every thing in that country is bastardized. From health sector to power(electricity); from formal education to artisanship, no area is left untouched. The depth of mediocrity in every area in Nigeria is bottomless. The mantras of "technology transfer" or "no need to reinvent the wheel" are not applicable to us. When Asian countries like China are accused by the west of intellectual property theft, at least they are modifying the ideas and technologies to either suit them better or improve on them. Governance is shambolic, to say the least least. When we embraced western ideas and technologies all we do is turn it on its head or destroy it. Even their idea of democracy we were sold is not what we have in our country. Who is to blame? Nigerians and the total failure of leadership over many decades that is still going on. We need to make Political office holders work for us. We must make governance about service and ideas and make it undesirable and unprofitable to those who see politics as a means of employment. |
Transcorp share is 1 naira…one, uno, ookan, otu, daya… |
One of the very few principled and honest detribalised Nigerians..I read about his role fighting for June 12 and I just salute the man. |
We should stop talking about criminals but remember the lost lives. https://www.nairaland.com/3343866/remembering-some-nigerians-directly-affected |
And what will be done with their findings…build and equip hospitals? Pay doctors proper wages? Abeg tell me anoda Stori… |
Someone that doesn’t know what debt means for the country. He thinks as long as he is not in debt personally, we can owe China more than the country costs if sold with the people…chai. Oluwa please help us ordinary Nigerians and future generations to come. |
One of the few principled and honest Northerners. People with no knowledge of some decades ago will be talking anyhow. Everybody wanted a change after GEJ’s dismal government. Even Soyinka now will agree that Buhari is not solving Nigeria’s problems… |
What is “foreign investment”? Please enlighten me. I want to see the list of jobs that have been created from “foreign investment” in the past 5 years. |
Everybody is here casting stones...pointing out purported logs in the eyes of others |
I am sure she is a cupboard Trump voter and supporter. Trump that is r a c I s t, you are being his African American friend at your own peril. |
PropaMan:I like your optimism. It takes a lot of planning and dedication to allocate 30 mins to 1 hour for charging every 200 miles. This is at high powered rapid charges. The common fast chargers you can charge overnight because it takes 7 to 8 hours. |
Until these people start making battery packs that are removable...forget it. It will be worse in Nigeria. You need to charge it too often you start to wish you could just fit in a new battery, leave the used one at home to charge and keep on moving. This is going to be very tough in Nigeria. I am talking from experience. Fine, you can get the charging pod installed in homes but still, the frequency at which you charge it even if it is overnight is just too much. Only when you start to think you are spending less than petrol or diesel is when you calm your mind down. You don’t spend as much time worrying about an ICE petrol or diesel car. Except you only want to drive a few minutes a day. |
Yen yen yen...that is why Richard Branson fled Nigeria |
There is something deeply wrong with our leadership. They instantly condemn criticism as hatred. Listen to criticism and correct your ways if you are in error: otherwise ignore such. I think it is all down to the fact that they believe they can’t solve Nigeria’s problems and agree that they are clueless. So when criticism comes they start flailing. The MOG is after all the same man that supported Nigerian dictators at one point or the other, so ignore him or take anything constructive from his criticism. |
Work to time. Once that “giornata lavorativa” (workday) hours end, shut that laptop and close all books. Do something completely unrelated to work...exercise, watch TV...work will never finish. |
