The marriage of famous music act,  Abolore ‘9ice’ Akande, has crashed as a result of infidelity. The marriage hit the rocks barely one year after the Gongo Aso crooner signed the dotted lines with his wife come stylist and on-line manager, Toni Payne, at a Lagos registry.

Now that the hitherto happy couple have gone their separate ways, it has been agreed that their only child, Zion, will reside with the mother.

P.M.NEWS gathered that while they were still living together, 9ice had allegedly been having extra-marital affairs, a development Toni Payne had complained about several times, even as she did not want to wash 9ice’s dirty linens in public.

Sources close to the singer claimed that it is his manager that usually love-vendor ladies for him, and that a particular lady fondly called M.A. is 9ice’s favourite.

Trouble, however, started when Toni Payne could no longer stomach the sexcapades, which consequently led to the end of the one-year old union.

A source close to the embittered Payne told P.M.NEWS that she felt so cheated because she had suffered and made sacrifices for 9ice.

“Honestly speaking, Payne felt so disappointed because she trusted 9ice and has really tried to take his career to where it is today. For God’s sake, this was a lady that stood by 9ice when he was a nobody, so it is sad to have paid her back in such a way.  It is just a testimony to the fact that 9ice is an ingrate,” she said.

When our reporter called Ola Dehinde, 9ice’s manager to comment on the matter, he denied that 9ice is a philanderer, claiming that his marriage was still intact.

In his words: “The allegation of infidelity is not true. Besides, the marriage is still intact.”

However, in a release sent to P.M.NEWS on Friday by 9ice’s publicist, Kunle Ayeni, he confirmed that the marriage between the Ogbomoso, Oyo State born- singer and his wife has hit the rocks.

The release read thus: “… 9ice and his beautiful wife, Toni Payne, with whom he tied the knot last year, are separating. The couple have agreed to separate for a while, even though they continue to remain good friends and business partners. Their baby, Zion, will reside with Toni for now.

“This is a very tough decision for the couple, and it’s a tough and even trying time for the young partnership we all admire so much. And they’re even the more constrained to make this announcement; knowing it will shatter many of their fans and admirers in and outside the country.

“But they have both agreed to be responsible about the development and make public what is necessary to avoid unnecessary speculations and rumours. And it is their wish that we all respect their privacy at this period.”

really i feel people are deviating from the original thread discussion - this discussion is about rude ladies not overtly perverted men. i think there are three reasons why a lady would be unduely rude to a man who asks her out (a) insecurity / lack of self confidence (b) improper home training (c) lack of expossure

look at a scenario like this: 'ngozi you are very fine o' - reply: 'you are mad!' - what has 'madness' got to do with someone complimenting you on your beauty - like someone put it, it's very obvious that in this kind of scenario, ngozi is the one who is mad because she hasn't trained herself to deal with male attention which is unavoidable - surely you can become rude if a man's attention starts turning to "harrasment" that is when he starts becoming overtly persistent but it's only fair to say a polite approach should be reciprocated with a polite answer - finito!

Gunmen have opened fire with machine guns on a bus carrying Togo's football team to the Africa Cup of Nations in Angola, wounding several players.

Officials say the shooting occurred in the Angolan oil-rich territory of Cabinda, where rebels have been fighting for independence.

The Angolan government called the incident an "act of terrorism". There are reports of serious injuries.

Togo is due to play its first game in Cabinda on Monday.



Adebayor was on the bus but escaped injury
Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor was on the bus but is unhurt. In a statement, Manchester City said Adebayor had been "shaken by the terrible events" but was "unharmed".

The bus was travelling to Cabinda from the squad's training ground in the Republic of Congo when the shooting happened.

"This was an act of terrorism," Cabinda affairs minister Bento Bembe told Reuters news agency.

However Africa Cup of Nations officials described the attackers as armed robbers.

Togo striker Thomas Dossevi told France's RMC radio that several players were "in a bad state".

"We were machine-gunned, like dogs," he said. "At the border with Angola - machine-gunned! I don't know why. I thought it was some rebels. We were under the seats of the bus for 20 minutes, trying to get away from the bullets."

The identities of those injured - who also included team staff - are not known. Togo are due to play Ghana, Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast in their group matches. Their first game is against Ghana.

Midfielder Alaixys Romao told RMC Togo were now likely to pull out of the 16-nation tournament. "No-one wants to play," he said. "We're not capable of it.

"We're thinking first of all about the health of our injured because there was a lot of blood on the ground."

seriously, is it too much to ask that you appreciate what a woman does for you. i think the problem is many men don't want to feel grateful, they want to feel like the woman has to do it since they do something else.
