Ikegift4real:In a sane society...one where the voice and choice of the people matters, the gov't (which can't pretend not to know what IPOB is demanding since they've murdered them and ran to the courts to get a kangaroo order to have them proscribed as terrorists)....the gov't would have put measures in place for a referendum on the Biafra question to have the issue settled once and for all! As we speak, Ethiopia has agreed to have a referendum for one of its regions that is seeking for autonomy! The United Kingdom that we like to ape has also done it with Scotland, yet here in Nigeria all we here is 'one indivisble nonsense'! |
austinsmat:Sniper cannot shoot it yeeeh eeeeh eeeh! ![]() |
I think you meant to say 'sword of Damocles'! |
DonCaxton:Sad but true! We're yet to see an African leader with pride and fire in the belly to uplift the continent (black Africans) to the level they should be! Right now the rest of the world looks down on us and see us as a charity case...a people that need to be pitied! |
StrongandMighty:Is that guy a MOD? Explains a lot! ![]() |
Simplyleo:We've offered to relieve you of him, while giving you Igbokwe and Orji Uzor Kalu in exchange....two for the price of one! You couldn't get a better deal anywhere else! |
Why are those in 'native' attire all wearing northern ones? Did the persons organising the stand think this is ok? |
kaorama:My sentiments too! I'm not being funny, but if any other south-east governor had shown this prototype as being the kind of stadium they're planning to build, i would have taken their assertion with a lot of cynicism and a pinch of salt! But having seen what Umahi has done thus far, i think he can pull it off! |
OlujobaSamuel:Wasn't it your minister of justice that opened his big mouth the other day and said words to the effect that the entire affair stinks of fraud...invariably saying P&ID is a fraudulent coy? They're only responding to his accusation! |
It's when unarmed innocent civilans are concerned that these thugs suddenly rediscover their mojo! This is why i don't pity them when armed robbers waste them! |
otuekong1:Of course he will be right! Your intentions on this forum are quite clear....especially fronting with a Akwa/Cross moniker! Nobody in their right mind....that is not up to mischief, will equate the way Ndigbo related and interacted with other ethnicities in the east with the way the Fulani from the Fouta-Djallon highlands related with the ethnicities they met in the north!? Even till today the entire country is feeling the effects of the Fulani expansionist agenda, yet you want to equate them with Ndigbo to justify your bile! |
And you just had to attach that unflattering pic of Lagos didn’t you? ![]() |
Terror? What terror!? ![]() |
alphaNomega:I think it’s a general southern malaise! We have no scruples throwing our people under the bus for pecuniary gain or to ingratiate ourselves with the core muslim north! Another problem we have down south is ‘over-sabi’! We’re too smart for our own good! |
Psoul:My sentiments exactly! I hope people can see why IPOB is justified in targeting our useless elite! Was this how the shutting down of the Abuja airport was handled? Wasn’t the contractor (Julius Berger) primed and ready to go the second the airport was shut? Wasn’t Kaduna airport designated as an alternative, and billions spent on it to bring it up to standard (of course this was a sly way of making it int’l through the back door)? Wasn’t the Kaduna-Abuja expressway fixed as a consequence? Weren’t arrangements made for the protection of travellers shuttling between Kaduna and Abuja? Our elite should have forced the evil Buhari gov’t to put the necessary logistics and safety measures in place before shutting down that airport! |
emeejinsm:Hehehehe ![]() |
MEGAWATCH:Some people are just looking for a reason (whether they believe it or not) to justify their actions during the uncivil war and assisting to sustain this killing field and concentration camp called Nigeria! Their conscience is always there to remind them they kid no one but themselves! |
But when they did the Abuja-Kaduna one it was the federal gov’t that took care of safety and logistic issues! How comes the one of Enugu-Owerri/Asaba is now left to the state gov’ts of the south-east to worry about? |
TSRC:What do Igbos have to lose? Could you also say what Igbos stand to gain by being in control of their own destiny....instead of what's presently the case where their destiny is determined and controlled by Igbo haters in Abuja? |
leokid866:Funny thing is that IPOB were organizing such huge protests in the east....that is up until the time you lot got scared of their growing popularity, tagged them as 'terrorists' and proscribed them, and then sent python dance to go scatter proceedings! ![]() |
jacksonkennedy:The issue with majority of Yoruba is they lack the self belief Igbos have to say enough is enough with this failed 'one Nigeria' experiment, and resolve to go it alone! The issue is their leaders of thought like Tinubu, etc, are gaining a lot of business and godfatherlike status from the status-quo as it is, and since these people (and not the likes of Yinka Odumakin, etc) are seamingly the voice of the Yoruba at the moment, they are not looking at doing anything that will upset the apple-cart and hamper the opportunities and political-economy that's presently benefitting them....and by extension, Yorubaland in general! You will hear talk like 'the Yoruba are sophisticated and not given to acting on impulse like the Igbo....hence the acceptance of 'one Nigeria', since it can't be dismembered'! The other thing is these group of Yoruba that would rather settle for 'one Nigeria' instead of an independent Odualand are mindful of the fact that Lagos owes it's present leading economic status in Nigeria and West Africa to the Nigerian political-economy obtainable from the late 60s to date! They are aware this political-economy, together with the input of ALL Nigerians (Igbo, Hausa-Fulani, Uhrobo, Itsekiri, Ijaw, Effik-Ibibio-Annang, etc) are responsible for Lagos being what it is today, and since they are presently in control of the political structures of this Lagos, why do anything to upset this arrangement that benefits them *politically and *economically (*Tinubu )! They are aware that If Nigeria breaks up today (or even adopts total federalism where regions/states control their own resources like hydrocarbons, sea and airports, etc) that this will spell the end of Lagos as we know it today, and as a consequence, the benefits they're presently deriving from it!Some of them that see Ndigbo as the competition that shouldn't be allowed to better them in anything also see the demise of 'one Nigeria' as benefitting the Igbos more than them! They are afraid of a situation where Nigeria is dismembered and Odua go it alone, while across the Niger the Igbos come to an agreement with the likes of the Effik/Ibibio/Annang.....agree to the articles of association, and form a confederation! Bearing in mind that Nigeria in general and Lagos in particular owes a large part of its success to the peoples that would make up this new nation in the east, and the inevitable withdrawal of these peoples from Lagos (and even Abuja), they feel this new nation would have bright prospects for success while they will be stuck with the Fulani in one form or the other! This they don't want to happen! These are just a few reasons why you don't see the zeal for going it alone in the west as you see with Ndigbo....lack of self-belief, and being concerned with if the Igbo will benefit from the new set-up more than them! |
She and her useless organisation should keep quiet! They're not feeding any Nigerian abroad so are in no position to tell anyone who they should or shouldn't associate with! Funny how they've now found their voice to yap nonsense! Where were they when Mazi Kanu was denied bail by the Buhari courts on many occassions? Where were they when Buhari sent out his murderous fulani soldiers to mow down innocent Igbo youths in cold blood? Where were they when Buhari sent an entire battalion of fulani soldiers to Afaraukwu with the clear intention of murdering Mazi Kanu? Even now, where are these idiots to voice out their concerns over the mistreatment of Sowore and the miscarriage of justice playing out before our very eyes? She and her selfish group of Buhari lapdogs should keep quiet abeg! |
They’re still cooking the figures! ![]() |
igwe699:Walahi! ![]() |
Good.....can’t wait! ![]() |
PassingShot:You keep banging on and on about ‘sitting president’, as if that confers some kind of saintly and untouchable status! Weren’t the likes of Hitler, Mobutu, and even Emperor Nero once ‘sitting’ Heads of State!? Even poor George Bush, the President of the greatest country in the world today, almost had his head taken off by a flying shoe aimed at him by an irate Iraqi, so what’s your point!? |
Anambralstson:These are ok, but i was thinking of something more in the mould of Millennium Park, Abuja; or Hyde Park in London. A place where you can go to with family or friends for a picnic, or to escape the hustle and bustle of the city! |
Anambralstson:First pic looks like early mor-mor! The atmosphere looks clear and there’s no dust/exhaust-fumes haze! |
Can see some effort has been put into beautifying the state capital. This never used to be the case! But a whole lot more still needs to be done! Awka and Onitsha are still lacking a well structured, maintained and expansive park that can help the cities to breathe, and where people can go to have some fresh air and relax! Also, i’m still not seeing any effort to plant trees on the major highways and streets! You look at some of the pics (the flyover areas look ok) and all you see is concrete and tar! |
Heheheheh ![]() IPOB has really been tormenting these horrible 'one Nigeria' bigots! See how all of them have IPOB on their mind 24/7! |
I don't like this idea of taking pics of people out on the streets trying to eke out a living, only to post them on social media to mock them! There are Igbo hating bastards that hate to hear or see anything positive about Alaigbo! We shouldn't let them make us sink to their level! |
