InvestmentRe: Bike On High Purchase by yemmit90: 3:51pm On Jan 08, 2015
jcflex:
bros wait oo, pls is it new bike that cost 70k.

the investment is a good one, with return of 50k, that arnd 75% of what you invest. good one, no stock, mutual funds, fixed deposit or treasury bill will give you that % for ROI
And you think the business is as peaceful as those ones you mentioned up there?

@op, it's a good investment if you're lucky to get a good person to hire it to. These people can frustrate the hell out of you. I did the business some years back when Chincheng bikes were still fresh in the market. I bought 4 for four different guys, infact one of them still owed me money till this moment I'm typing. I used police and later hired area boys to compelled them to got my balance.

So, make sure you give it to a God fearing man, an humble man with focus and dedication. I'm sure such man would honour the agreement and not rubbish you expected profit.

Both your first post and the one above no make any sense.

I'm sure you've not read wide, otherwise you would've know that most of Nigeria Authors,Musicians, movie producers, and even professors are mostly doing copy and paste of intellectual works of foreigners.

Good job bro!

However, what do you think is a cure/prevention for (SDS) sudden death syndrome in broilers production?

Also, looking at the picture you attacked to this post,I believed you're doing this business in a large scale right, how do you manage to raise a broiler for good 16weeks? What is their average body weight at the end of 16 weeks? Do you sell them to the processor or direct to market?

Sorry for misunderstanding you! Don't mind my curiosity, I always advise people to desist from eating imported chicken simply for health reason.

As for your question, I can't really remember the taste of local chicken because the last time I tasted one was over a decade. I could remember its bones were very strong though.

Perhaps you're the only one who still believe Boko Haram are real muslims. What make you believe that their ideologies were emanated from Islam/Quran? Though I'm not a Muslim, but doubt if there's any verses in Quran supporting their extreme Ideology especially in the aspect of (Killing fellow muslim, bombing Mosques, attacking Muslim Leaders, Emiers etc). Your assertion could only be right if we don't have Muslims in another parts of the country/world.

Besides, I can't comprehend your last phrase/question?

GEJ is a gentleman(who wish Nigeria well) but surrounded by wicked advisers and corrupt politicians. He's not seem to be able to solve our economic and insecurity problem any time soon.

AgricultureRe: Starting A Plantain Farming. by yemmit90: 11:55am On Dec 18, 2014

You can plant your plantain at anytime of the year all you need is water let us be creative and more innovative in our approach to agriculture in fact turn it to agribusiness.
Irrigation system is only good for the protection/sustainability of plants during dry season or where rains are inadequate. It's quite not advisable(for the novice) to start planting new suckers with irrigation system. It's very dangerous in the sense that the land as a result of too much/shortage of water from irrigation might lead to the death of young plants especially plantain.
AgricultureRe: Help! My Broilers Keep Dying by yemmit90: 7:47pm On Dec 01, 2014
@op, how old are your birds?

Did you completed their vaccines?

Base on your subsequent posts, I could deduced that your birds are probably suffering from 'Sudden death syndrome'(heart attack). It has no cure(vaccine) as the causes is not yet know or be ascertained.

The best thing to do to minimize your mortality rate is to reduce their feed intake and increase their water. Don't give them food in the afternoon, and you can also add multivatamin to their water for 3 consecutive days. Also, make their house to be more ventilated.

But if they are below 3 weeks, I can suggest you a drug to control the situation.

AgricultureRe: Please Advice I Want To Farm What Can I Plant Now? by yemmit90: 8:02pm On Nov 23, 2014
@op sedulus, I've always been having two problem with your real thread but don't want to say it there because it could damage your genuine business and integrity on NL.

1. How on earth will you be advising people to buy suckers at this period?

2. Your rough estimate on this business is always wrong and shows some elements of desperation to rip people off.

1 acre of land can only accommodate a maximum of 800 suckers. 8 -10 feet spacing is the best if you really want a good yield. Infact I don't expect anyone to plant more than 720 suckers on an acre of land.

You don't need to do this before people patronize you. People love and respect you the most if you tell them truths.

a poor man today can be the wealthy man whom you'll find feeding both the rich men of today tomorrow. You can't tell me not to love a man because he's broke at the moment. The thing there is know a man with potentials, who has a dream and vision, that you know will manifest in future than ending up with a useless persons that will make life a living hell.
I think op is talking about 'marriage' and not just dating.

My sister, if you're still single(though love is very important), please marry someone who have at least a steady source of income. Don't fall prey of the popular say that 'think will get better after marriage'.

Contrary to some people believe, a man can easily realize his potential while still single than when he's married. Unlike when he was single, a man dream and vision can be altered by many factors in the marriage. Infact, only a visionless lazy man will get married without considering his financial status.

So, while marrying for Love, consider other factor especially a man financial stability.

Good hygiene and a well ventilated pen - I love that. Miss them in the name of reducing building cost and labor and you'll pay for it with mortalities.
I saw your Pen in one of your threads. You can easily break down/reduce the high of the fence at the back. Have you ever called the engineer to know if it's possible?

I'm a business minded person, that is why I am saying it ain't worth it. And I am not forming any big boy, I am just trying to be be business savvy. And I am already in the business. I bought 30 broilers and 10 cockerels. I had to go somewhere for two days, and my brother didn't take care of them well...4 broilers eventually died, but no cockerel died. This is why I started this thread. About me naming the places where they sell Day Old Chicks (broilers) for N250, what will that achieve? Do you think I am lying? Anyway, I don't know the name of the establishments, but they are all around Ikotun, Idimu, and Egebeda area.

Once again, thanks for your contribution.
Now i understand you, I'm actually talking on 1000-10000 birds perspective. Do the calculation yourself 120 multiply by 2000/5000, you will see it's a good profit for a business of seven weeks.

it's well my brother, have a nice day!
