shadrach77: Yes it's the team that matters but can't you see that a non-playing captain is a short one for the team cause it robs someone else of the opportunity to be in the team. Every player in the team should be available for selection I see your point, but my view is that although Ahmed Musa might not be playing actively, he is playing a key role in the team, so I don't see it as him depriving anyone else of the spot. Things will naturally evolve at some point and he will leave, but for now he is doing a great deal off the field which is as important as on the field. |

Get well soon captain fantastic It's the team that matters, both the ones playing and the ones boosting the team morale behind the scenes. It's not a competition on who is the permanent team captain. That said, I wish him a very quick recovery. |

kelly72: Her story is different from my story as it is from yours. Therefore, nobody can write her story for her. If the occasion of her husband's funeral isn't auspicious enough to talk about her travails in the hands of supposed inlaws whose major grouse with her is her tribe, what more should.
If she failed to publicly eulogise a husband who became unpopular with some kinsmen just for the offense of loving his wife, what more would she have said?
It was good she spoke like that, so that those who had been mocking her wouldn't go away thinking her marriage with Aketi was not peaceful. If her detractors were angered by her speech, then she spoke well.
Finally, she spoke not only for herself, but for all the women suffering the scourge of inlaws and husband's kinsmen.
Next time you attend a funeral service, please respect whatever you hear the bereaved family saying. It is their own reality and it doesn't remove from the glorious marriage each of the seated guests are enjoying. I beg to disgree. Why start bringing up Igbo vs Yoruba comments and even insults towards her 'detractors' in such a tribute, stirring up vitriol at what should have been the final memory of her husband, that is not appropriate, and it is fine if you disagree. I maintain my stand. |

U never hear d part of d doctors or the diagnostic center... Make una dey calm down biko. Yet our doctors are sorted after all over d world. Whilst not excusing the doctor in this particular case, a lot of Nigerians act like people don't die overseas. Meanwhile, medical errors account for 9.5% of all deaths in the U.S. each year. According to a study by Johns Hopkins, more than 250,000 deaths every year are due to medical malpractice. This staggering figure makes medical malpractice the third leading cause of death in the United States, behind heart disease and cancer. |

Britishpea: God! Who will console these parents? May God console them. This is unprofessional. They made a certain mistake during the process. . I have leaned my lessons too. I also consulted a doctor last year for a minor feeling and told me he would perform a procedure to clear it.
I was curious to know. He said it’s just a minor procedure that won’t last more than 20 mins.
That’s how I left for the reputable hospital without even telling anyone. Thinking I would soon come back home. Got there, took me in the theatre. The next time I saw myself was on the ward bed with pains that I have never seen in my entire life or seen anyone going through it. I callled my family later to come and they were like” ah but you were ok”
In fact I spent 2 weeks in this hospital. Only God saved my life. I never saw it coming. Meanwhile the doc is a family doctor that I trusted so much. He later told me that if he had said it would be painful that I wouldn’t do it.
Doctors should communicate adequately with their patients. Wow, that was a close shave. If it was going to be so painful, why didn't the doctor just use an anaesthesia rather than keep quiet about it? I think God just gave you a second opportunity in life, pls use it wisely, some were not so fortunate. |

Mandate1: you see that tax collection increase, that's the primary concern of this govt. But unfortunately, you can't tax a population of people who don't have and whose means of livelihood has nosedived. Tax increment should come from creating public utilities. In Nigeria, it's the reverse.
For me, a productive nation should be interested in taxing 20m #10, 000 each, than tax 5m people 20,000 each. Nigeria should be more concerned about creating prosperity, not just tax tax tax.
Yes, govt needs more revenue, but we have to be careful not to tax people into poverty. I think president Tinubu needs to revisit his policies. Exactly. Government spending should be cut down for a start rather than trying to squeeze more out of a people already squeezed. Mr Edun really doesn't inspire much confidence to be honest and seeing these his proposals just further reinforces that unfortunately. |

Let me understand
If a husband confesses to his wife that he has sexually molested their daughter should she report him yes or no?
They are both criminal offences In Both cases if she does not report she will go to prison But in this case ,in America and will even go to prison for longer for the insider trading
So I want to understand what she did wrong Thank you, very well said. It's shameful people are blaming the woman in a case which is black and white in terms of the law. |

Tradepunter2: You people talk without any sense sometimes..... The SEC and the FBI will find out because the fact is if institutional traders are not cashing in that efficiently.... Then it's most unlikely a single individual won't be able to..... If the matter had gone far, he will still be caught putting the wife directly in the line of fire. Besides, it's a form of insider trading which is a crime, seems most people here don't realise that. Or have simply normalized crime so much they can't tell the difference any longer. Similar to the customs guy awarding contracts to a company he is involved in, these are ethical issues and crimes in many other countries. |

I understand that many of you were infuriated by the way Aketi loved his wife. Funny enough, you don't even know how much misfortune you attract to yourselves as a consequence of that.
Thankfully, she has given a clear evidence to God for the judgment of her husband in heaven. Many of you tribalists who have married from your tribes will surely not benefit as such from your wives at your trial in heaven. Just one question. Did you read the tribute? If yes, do you think she did the right thing writing all she wrote? Please be fair and objective in your response. |

From neglecting him while he was sick, dragging politics with the indigenes of Ondo State to this public embarassment on the Akeredolu family. I can see why she is so much disliked, that tribute is just wrong wrong wrong. The man truly loved her though, probably to his own detriment. |
