Ebola was brought under control by APC led Lagos state administration. There was quick response by the competent leadership of Lagos state then.
Please, do not politicize the corona virus. The current administration hasn't taken any wrong step so far regarding this virus and have given the right advice so far. It has nothing to do with trying to compete with previous governments.
Nigeria used to have competent epidemiologists and disease control experts. We probably still do, though majority of the younger ones may have left the country.

No country is testing at the airport for corona virus.
They are all screening for symptoms which Nigeria is also doing eg- checking people's temperature at the airports.
Every country including US, UK have asked for self quarantine when you come back from travel and if you suspect you have the virus stay at home. You can contact the appropriate authority and they will come to your home to take blood tests and confirm it.
If people don't self quarantine, the virus will spread quicker.

It affects the airways, so I know that makes it a bad one in those who are really sick. Not everyone gets really unwell with it though.
Let's watch how it pans out over the next few weeks/months.
Everyone should keep washing their hands frequently with soap/water or alcohol based hand gels, and avoid sticking your hands on your face , eyes, mouth.
If you have a cold, please stay at home till you're well.

I think all the previous epidemics like Ebola may have helped prepare some African countries (at least to an extent) for something like this too.

In Nigeria, when Ebola first broke out, Drs in Lagos government hospitals were on strike, and I believe that helped to curtail the spread.
The easiest place to get things like that is from the hospital, and the health care workers.
