Desired qualities on one side and essential qualities on the other side
List your qualities as well if you may. And don't say handsome , God fearing, hardworking ...break it down.
On a personal note maybe your quite rigid criteria is the reason why you are still searching.
Aunty Haba, what exactly is rigid abt the criteria lipsrsealed. 1-5 is more of a "work in progress" kind of criteria, which means you can get better with as time goes on.

I am not a novice here on nairaland but I've been a guest for almost 6years now. I created a monicker today to create this thread.

I have had two relationships in the past but they weren't meant to be. I want to go into a relationship with someone Who has some or all of the qualities I'll list below. Its going to be a serious relationship which can lead to marriage.

1 U must be a christian, believe in The Holy Trinity. Not an S.U. Just be someone Who believes in prayers and also someone Who prays

2 Not antisocial, we can go out to places like cinemas, bar, club. And not soneone that will tell me to stop drinking. I don't drink much and I don't want someone to stop the little I take

3 U must be focused on your future and our future together

3 Educated to at least OND Level, or a student nit below 300L in the university.

4 U should be able to hold a conversation, either intellectual, or just normal 'gists'

5 U should not be a morale killer in things that concern romance.

6 U should be able to play or ready to learn how to play at least an indoor game.....Chess, monopoly, video games esp soccer. Chess is the top priority tho

7 U MUST be AA

8 A yoruba preferably from Oyo, Ondo, Osun, or Lagos.

9 I DONT want a distant relationship, u must reside in Oyo or Osun state.

10 Must between 23&26 years of age

11 Appearance; 1.55m minimum height
Fair , or not too dark
A little bit chubby. Not too slim. I'll prefer someone on the plus side tho.

Thanks. I hope to find you on nairaland.
Where's the list @OP? grin grin
This is nothing special at all, I can get on any major street in IB and have a lineup of 20 ladies in an hour for you.

***Just be careful of those who have seen exam orijo and go cram all the answers. Ask them any of the questions after exam, they can't answer. What I mean is those who will pretend to be okay with all these and few weeks after wedding, they show their Ayamataga side. All the best bro.
RomanceRe: A Regrettable Mistake But Can It Be Fixed? by yhemster(m): 11:45am On Jul 12, 2017
Truth be told bro, 6 years relationship is too long and I think ur babe is very bored of you. What you're experiencing now is what married couples called mid-life crisis. Yes. In ur case it seems early cos both of you ain't married or bare any kids which seems to rekindle the marriage spark. She may love you for real, bt obviously she's emotional tired of the relationship. The truth of the matter now is that getting married isn't even the solution now cos you claimed to be financially unstable.
My advice is this, devote all ur energy into ur hustle and give the lady a bit of distant. You can't trust her again so obviously you can't marry her. It may be a great loss for you bt be thankful you only experienced a cheating girlfriend and not a cheating wife.

**I can't blame her though 6 years relationship is damn too long bro especially when there's no much resources to spice things up.

1. Is she trying to make the guy get a corporate job? It's possible the guy may have his hustling street earning/blue collar job which the girlfriend may be unhappy with.
2. Why didn't the guy tweet his CV himself?
3. Did she do this with(out) the guy permission?

I presumed you read my write up cos it was stated right there that i was at the phone booth when police car pull over. The police guys saw me while they were heading towards Gatwick/Heathrow airport but couldn't stop cos of their speed. I guess they went to the next roundabout to make their way towards me(The same way to London), by then, i was already at the other side of the road trying to use the phone booth.

They were shocked to see me at the other side of the road. They asked me how did i get to the other side of the highway? I told them that i crossed the highway and that was when they said it was an offence...
From what you wrote, I presume you were uninformed abt those phonebooths. You claimed you were stranded for 4hrs while trying to seek help from those driving by.
My point is wherever car breaks down on the motorway and unfortunately the phone is dead, the next time to do is located the nearest emergency phone booth. They're on both side of the road, 2 miles apart on each side of the road.
Anyway, you're now know better.

Chaiiii!!!!

What an horrible day!!! What a day!

My car stopped at M25 London...

As devil wan punish my balls, my phone had 1% battery and subsequently went off without my in-car charger in sight. I suffered that day. It was my worst day on earth.

Oyinbo people are very wicked, very heartless people. They were all driving by without offering me as little as "What is going on Mate?"

I now understand why white peoples commit suicide at every slightest issue cos they don't care about humans except dogs and cats.

I was there for 4hrs. I later decided to walk to any nearest town or city, o boy, i started this journey and the road seemed endless. I kept walking like a mad man on the road side until i saw a phone booth at the other side of the highway. Suddenly i saw a police car driving by as i was about to cross the highway, they looked at me while speeding by without making any effort to stop. I thought they couldn't stop cos of their speed but only for these foolish police men to show up at the phone booth and started telling me that i have committed a traffic offence under section and subsection ... I said what have i done? They said i crossed the highway which is illegal in UK. At that point in time, having committed an offence, i was happy cos i knew they ll arrest me and take me to their station where i would just call someone or get a taxi to my house while my Bail is being processed...

How i wish it all happened in Nigeria, Nigerians would have stopped and offered some help... Nigerians are good at that

M25 is the scariest place on earth to have car issues

I was completely stranded in amazon without any hope
Sorry abt that bro, I thought UK is one of the best countries to have a break down. Reason cos there are emergency phone booth every 2 miles on each side of the road. As to have someone stopped to help, that won't happen. Most people will think a professional help is on the way. So instead of waiting, you could have walked back or forward to the emergency phone booth.
Sorry, ignorance is obviously a disease. grin

YelloweWest:
Op I'll be honest with u.
It is a man's responsibility to provide for his family.
It is a woman's responsibility to take care of the home and kids.
Anything that alters this position will definitely bring friction in the home.

If you want your marriage to work u need to see things from your partner standpoint.
You said when u were working u took care of your family, however u didn't give any details of such care the way u detailed your wifes misbehaviour.

I seriously doubt ur story Mr.
This mentality of whose responsibility is to provide and to care for the kids is definitely the root of this man's problem. This is 2017 and not 1995, financial responsibilities of the home should be the responsibility on both the Father and Mother of the house likewise the care of the home and kids. Gone are the days when Mother stays home or earn very little income. Nowadays, Male and Female are fully a workforce and their earns varies slightly.
There's not wrong in Mummy dropping her salary for upkeep of the home likewise their nothing wrong for Daddy to pickup the kids from school and prepare lunch or dinner for them while Mummy is at her duty post.
The earlier the society reset and update to this modern way of living the better for us all.

Christianity EtcRe: Why I Left Christ Embassy Church by yhemster(m): 1:28pm On Jul 02, 2017
Marchman:
3. Pastor Chris is the orthodoxy
In CE, Pst Chris is the standard; he is the orthodoxy of the word of God. He is in fact treated like God. His words are law. He could cancel engagements, delay marriages and, in my mother’s language, can do and undo!
Everything revolves around him. He has limitless powers and not inhibited by anything.

And what do they say about absolute power corrupts absolutely?

Exactly what you have in the church. No one dares challenge him. In a godly environment, there should have been some enquiry in to the crisis of his marriage with the objective to mend the issues. But no one dares even raise such issues. People like Joe Agbaje are prepared to lie for him. I recall a time when the issue of PST Chris living separately from his wife came up here, Joe Agbaje defended him, claiming that the couple see often and even go on romantic get-away. It was not true. To all intents and purpose, the man abandoned his wife and family in London while gallivanting around the world with his concubines. This was wrong, but who could challenge the KING? The man had also warned members never to discuss pastors and that they should run away where such matters are being discussed. What you have is a situation where people are so afraid to even consider the allegations against him, so as not to be consumed by fire! SMH!!!

With such a context, the man can get away with anything, including polygamy. He can rewrite the bible, claiming that some portions or verses were not clearly written. He can do ANYTHING, and the staunch members and the pastors would defend him. I mean ANYTHING.

They deify him, call him the ‘Jesus in white suit,’ ‘the Jesus of our time’ and such heresies.
Two personal experiences really got me worried.

A. I was in church one day when a leader in a talk show said, “Pst Chris is not only in Ikeja or Lagos. His spirit is even here right now’’. I was shocked by the comments and obvious deification of a mere mortal. But when the pastor came up, he did not rebuke the speaker or said anything about it. I left for home, thinking hard: What has happened to these people?
B. Th other one was during prayer. The person leading the prayer asked us to pray so that the message of PST Chris will take over the world. Message of Pst Chris? I asked myself. I thought we came there because of the gospel/message of Christ? Does Pst Chris have a different message? Of course, I didn’t participate in that prayer but I was shocked that no one saw anything wrong in this, which validated my growing belief that the church was veering out of the Christian lane into something else.

I will stop here for now. But if challenged by the minions of the church, I have more arsenals. Good day and God bless you.
Unfortunately, most of the big churches are guilty of this. All teachings and sermons now revolve around the GOs and founding Pastors.
Churches are becoming brands of christianity, where members believes they're superior christians just for the fact that they attend a particular church.
There was a church I attended, where during testimony a member was thanking God for making his sibling face tribulations which lend him to consider changing church and becoming a member of his church. Jesus wept.

Great4God:
Any man that knows His onion, that knows where He is heading to should not take it personal when a woman says no to His feelings based on His financial standing. It is expected to motivate you to achieve higher things, anytime a woman says no to me with the impression that I am not capable enough, It pushes me the more to achieve, I always take that as a challenge. I had an experience when I was much younger, a girl I had a strong feelings for told me plainly that I wasn't up to her standard then, I didn't take it out with her, I didn't hate or abuse her, but I simply told myself that I would be back for her,yes after 3 years,I was ready for her and She couldn't stand me again, my capacity, my intelligence, she lacked confidence where I was.I have a deep respect for any woman that knows and defines what she wants,it is never a crime, In life, while we are grateful to people who opened their doors for us, we should also be grateful to those that closed their doors to our face, they contributed to the success we attain in this life, that is only when you are passionate enough to succeed. If a woman ignores you because you don't have a car, it is not bad,She needs a guy with a car for convenience, all she told you was to go get a car and when you do,no be you go enjoy am
Sir, taking a woman's rejection as a challenge to succeed simply means you're not dreaming big enough. If a woman rejects me for any reason, I see it as her loss.
I've always tell my friends, if a woman rejects you simply cos of ur current situation, such woman isn't meant for you in the first place. This life it's self is an understanding. And this conversation still leads us to the issues of impressing women for acceptance. My bro, wealthy men go broke too, based on their investment exposure. So my thing is this, a woman you have to impress to accept you, will definitely abandon you when you're down.
It's unfortunate that in this part of the world, men lives for women.

Whaooo, I'm just short of words. To each his own. I'm a not rich guy, and meeting girls with this mentality makes me differ Relationship/marriage till further notice. If you're really a successful woman as you've claimed to be, you would have gotten better understanding of money. And pls, don't call urself successful if you're still waking 5am going to some else company to work.
Life isn't abt the destination, it's abt the journey. Comfortable life sometimes gets boring.
Confidently I can say I'm well travelled, whenever I met a lady of any class anywhere, immediately my brain evaluates her exposure, understanding of life, Thirsty for knowledge and spirituality (not religion). If you like be Mo Abdu or Alakija, if you fail, I'm done. I believe if we can't agree on some elementary principles, we can neva have a successful marriage.

I wasn't bothered until she ate the food not reaching halfway and started ranting abt her clients and payment wahala. Suddenly, she stood up went to the kitchen threw the leftover in the trash. She came back complaining that the soup was too spice for her. I told her straight up, she wasted my food.
There's another who visited twice already and always having leftovers. The third time she visited I deliberately serve her small portion. She saw it and started complaining of the portion being small. I just told her "manage this, its almost dinner time"
