@sniperwolf, It's cool for a man to ask for sex (not on the first date oh, that will put us off) and it's so much cooler for us to turn him down. If a man doesn't ask for sex at all, it makes you wonder if you aren't attractive to him or if he's having it somewhere else. That he's asking for it, does not mean he'll get it, it simply means he's functional. It gives a lady a sence of pride to know that her man is dying to have her and she's the one turning him down, nicely and gently. Hope this answers your question. |
@ crazykid: what expenses are we talking about here? I've not aske for designer's perf, not asked for nice suits and shoes to show off at work, only asked , will you take, as your , Is that too much to ask? Well, am still here, waiting for him! |
Gossip could be real fun. I love to gossip holly wood stars, especially who's dating who and who's dumping who, who's getting married, who's getting a divorce and who's having a baby. It's always fun, that is why E! entertainment is my all time best T.V. Station! Bad thing about gossip though is if you talk about it without getthing the facts, you feel a kind of shame when u finally discover you said what wasn't true. So ladies be careful with gossips. |
@ Efua, Shay? pls help me tell him oh before I change my mind. Let's hook up on YIM if you're there, got something to tell you. |
Story made my day. Put a smile on my face while I read but very unrealistic. I'm looking forward to part 2. |
@ poster, It's possible they need you to take time to get used to the environment before the work load comes in. It's unfortunate though because this is real waste of human resources because with a good orientation, any intelligent person can start work immediately. For now, take time to develop yourself, watch, observe, ask questions and prepare yourself for challenging jobs. But girl, aren't you lucky! My own job is too demanding, I wasn't even given a day to rest before I got all the job on my table. wish I could trade places with you every other week! ENJOY! By the way, I just read damoche07 post and you got all you need to make things work for you. That is a really nice write up. |
@ presido1 Thanks jare, but it seems the guy has disappeared! Littel wonder he's looking for a wify, I hope he'll finish what he has started! |
Thanks Cute-ass, you love the bro and told him the home truth. with english like that, he'll find it very difficult to "found a girl of his type" |
cutekittie, will you take me as your dearly beloveth wife, to love and to hold, to cherish, I beg, I don't even know how to say it sef, but I know you know what I'm trying to say, 'till we leave nairaland do us part'? If yes, answer 'I do' and let all nairalanders shout 'halleluya' |
sorry Teetalks, I decided to change that topic because, I could get into trouble at work. Yimiton is my real name and it's unique. Anybody that knows can easily relate me with my posts here. I'll think of what to do without implicating myself in a forum like Nairaland. Meanwhile, let's talk about hold ups! |
Normally I get to work befor 7.10am cos I leave my house as early as between 5.40 and 6.00am but today, the hold up was just horrible! I got out from the car and tried to pick a bike to beat my resumption time of 7.30 but I was still late. I really don't understand what this hold ups are all about, they seem to be getting worse by the day. Are there any solutions to hold ups in Lagos, especially between Ikoyi and Victoria Island? If there are, what could be done? I am getting really frustrated. |
My Gosh! This is so funny! Did someone actually write that to a lady or was it just a delicious joke! If it is, then, anything is possible in 1978!. Boy, I think I need to ask my mom and dad some questions. Who knows, I might be lucky to find one of mom's that I can share with fellow Nairalanders. But wait a minute, what if a guy actually writes that to a lady of today, boy that will definitely be suicidal. It's really funny though and the poster has totally made my day. I'll laugh all day long! More letters pls! |
Oh my God! She died! I'm so damned sorry. That is the worst thing that could happen. If this story is true, then my heart sincerly goes out for you. I love the way you wrote this story, it's short, interesting and captivating. I hope the baby didn't go with her. At least that will be your joy, you'll see her mom in her in your lonely days. I think you can love again, it will only time some time but time heals (may not be total) everything. Take time to mourn her, take time to miss her, take time to love her memory but then, you must get up. Life goes on, you must learn to live again. Wish you all the best! |
I'm sorry B, I know you've always loved me. Even as you did every thing you could possibly think about to make me love you too. I tried, but as you know, it's not possible to try to love someone, the heart has a mind of it's own. There were times I led you on, but I'd always known I was never going to end up with you. I was selfish, I was hearthless and although I still feel pity for you in my heart, I know pity is not strong enough to make a marriage. I pray and hope that someday soon, you'll meet a woman who'll trully love you and respect you the way you are. And I pray you'll find a place in your heart to forgive me. |
No, I won't if that man is not my husband and simply because he's somebody else's husband. I wouldn't want any one going around doing that to my husband, so, if I can't take it, i see no reason y I should do it to someone else. |
@ yimiltion : You are welcome, but i can't contact u! ![]() kindly mail the contacts request to my mail add, if u are truly one!

Sorry Buddy, was just messing around with your post. Didn't mean that and didn't think you were going to take me serious. I do that now and angain. I hope and pray you find that specail friend you're looking for. Please be careful though, don't get desperate so that you are not taken for granted. A lot of foes pretend to be friends. Do have a nice day. |
I agree with the poster. When we copy other people's materials we must acknowledge them, otherwise, we're simply stealing from them. Even if it's just a portion of the person's ideas, we should learn to give honour to whom honour is due. Men are hard to please is actually an old item. I saw it a long long time ago. I didn't need to read this one. I almost know the whole page by heart! Geography of a woman, boy, that too is not an original article. I've seen that article several times. We must realize that the internet is a small place, so, as we claim other people's ideas and write ups, we should know that the real owners could claim back what rightfully belongs to them. |
@tynos, Me too! |
@ chukky! When I first saw your post, I thot it was too long and nearly skipped it before I decided to read through and I couldn't stop until I got to the end! Boy, that was a nice one. It's so cool and sincere. I'm glad you guys are dating now. But you were so right especially about the part of guys being lions! |
No, being a christian does not mean you shouldn't have taste but the news is that there is no way you can let a guy down "gently and nicely" If you try that approach, you'll find yourself back to the same guy and you'll be so frustrated yet, you won't be able to break up. This is because when you try to be nice and gentle, the guy takes it that you still like him afterall and tries even harder to blackmail you spiritually and emotionally. The best way to do it is do it face to face. Not in your house or his, but a neutral place like an eatery. Tell him you're not happy in the relationship. You don't have to be apologetic neither do you have to sound guilty, but at the same time, don't be rude or insulting. Just tell him the plain truth and if he tries to hold on, you may tell him you need some time off for yourself. Any intelligent guy knows that once a lady starts saying she wants out of a relationship for a while to clear her head, she definitely does not want him anymore. |
Hello Afrijeters! I just got an invitation from them to attend the oral and physical interview after the written test. @ dammyllola, I hope you got yours too? It was a text |
My PC and music. You can catch me fumbling with either even at 2am! The both sort of sooth my mood when I'm upset. |
@ doncnn, Have you seen my application? Aren't I going to be considered at all. You know age is just a number, I could become 21 for you, pls. ![]() |
Nigerians! You guys will never change. You keep watching people dribble balls around on the field and making millions of dollars for them You keep fighting for the remote and you wouldn't let us watch our E! entertainment You just waste your time on Super Sports! And even left Sports forum to Romance to talk about your football again! See you, Barca does not even know that you exist, and you're their fans! My God, now, I've stepped on their toes, I better flee, befor they ask for my head! For real, am goooooooooon! |
I really do not have regrets about anything I've done. If I hadn't made the mistakes I made when I made them, I probably wouldn't have grown. Mistakes make us stronger and human. I also take responsibilies for what ever I do, face them and make sure I learn from them. |
@ Poster, I'm 19, going on 20. I have a Bachelor's degree in Law, masters in medicine and work in world bank. For you I'll take up lecturing on part time in Cambridge or Oxford. I've had offers there, since I was 15. I'm 6"1" and as thin as Agbani Darego, I brush 4 times a day and wash my hands every 10 mins, my hair is always extreemly neat but my friends call me a neat freak. My ex boyfriend jilted me because he thinks am too cute for him. But I'm scared, will you have me please prince charming? I'm afraid I'm just a little too young! |
I use an HP Presario V2000. I noticed that after I downloaded Adobe Readers 7.0, it became very slow. I had to remove it immediately and noticed that it came back to normal speed. Could Adobe actually have been the reason for the speed decrease or was it just coincedental? Can a burnt power adapter be repaired? I already got another one but reluctant to throw away the original one. |
Yes, It was nice thanks. I was in the 11 am batch but missed it and wrote for 1.30. Still waiting |
This Thread is simply great! I love numbers 3, 4, 5, and 6. But I love Number 6 the most! Every girl must be told that from birth. Thanks Buddy. |
When I just started contributing to Naira Land, I didn't see anything wrong with posting my pix on my profile until a fellow Marylander not only saved it but sent it to me to ask if that was actually me! I was infuriated! He said he'd like to be friends if that was actually my pix. Didn't I feel insulted. Truth is that a lot of people abuse the privilege. I've always loved to associate a face with an intelligent contribution so, I usually go to profile to see what people look like when they make intelligent contributions, but after what that fellow Nairalander did, I didn't need a sooth sayer to tell me to take out my pix if I didn't want to have my pictures where I didn't want them. If it were possible to have pix that can neither be copied or saved, maybe I would have considered it, but after what happened, I wisend up! |
