The OP is among Nairalanders that chant ' Ebi n pawa o'. You can see a lot lot of it on his posts. His situation is worse than the e bi npawa jibes but he won't admit. Now he has shamelessly washed his dirty linen on Nairaland for us to know he is probably poorer than those he aims e bi npawa jibes at. Very shameless people.
Anyway, person pickin wicked no mean say make you feed am to lion.
@OP, never give up. God has a plan for you. You just have to hold on. Imagine the kind of things people who are rich today have gone through. Many went through situations probably worse than yours yet it's all stories today. Just look at it as a chapter in your life. A better chapter is coming. Tough times don't last but tough people do. It sure will turn out for your good.

Naira regaining strength, una still dey teeth gnashing.
What caused the dollar high rate if not scarcity. So if those who are hoarding the dollars ( BDC, Binance, Terrorists sponsor) have now been exposed, logically there supposed to be more dollars in circulation which will make the rate to fall.

Devil1Messenger: Lolz This is not campaign This stuff has been in the internet since 2022 I only brought it here because the misinformation going on in this forum is too much A simple google search will bring this up https://www.nairaland.com/870945/what-exactly-peter-obi-doingThis link and the pictures attached existed since 2012. At this time, Obi already spent 6 years in office as governor. Anambra people complained bitterly about his poor performance. I can even see when one comment says the state capital looked like a glorified village. This is the opposite in Lagos as everyone praised Tinubu.

Brenbentondiaz: The answer people are skipping is that the govt was defending the naira that time and fixing forex prices. That subsidy regime has been removed now. I'm also aware this present government has been clearing a lot of bad debt that has the naira so much problems but locally and internationally and it has been giving the naira some strength. |
Politics › Re: What Was Nigeria Producing When A Dollar Was 200 by yommen: 5:52pm On Mar 29, 2024*. Modified: 6:07pm On Mar 29, 2024 |
ElSudani: This is a very important question. Many people don't know there's a correlation between the strength of your currency and the value of your exports. I see a lot of ignorant comments on nairaland by people complaining about the strength of the without talking about the root causes of the naira is weak. They believe the government should just fix it artificially and everything will fall into place. That approach has been tried several times and it has always failed. You yourself have not even given a reasonable answer to the question the OP asked. You only repeated comments that have been made over and over again. It is comments like yours that gave birth to OP's question. You have claimed to know but can't even give answers to the topic you seem to know. What was exports like then and now? Give figures and links to information. I had thought I would learn something significant from answers to OP's question. The OP understands that many Nigerians, especially on Nairaland insist that there is a need to increase export from Nigeria abroad in order for the Naira to begin to regain its value. The OP is now asking if there was anything Nigeria was exporting in particular when dollar was N200 compared to now that the naira has depreciated so much. Moreso, just over 3 weeks ago, the dollar was close to N1,900, now it's N1,300. It has appreciated by a whopping N600. The government has done a lot in the process but nothing as regards all your claims of exports, export, exports!!! You have been shouting increase in exports but the Naira has been gaining strength without the exports increase you claim yet you can't afford to keep quiet. Based on what many of you are saying, you do not have answers to the questions. Many of you here are just being to emotional about things without really offering substantial answer to the questions. My take! |

JASONjnr: Tinubu met dollar at N700 to a single dollar and right before his eyes, it went up to N1,900. But we're praising his incompetence for subsidizing it to fall to N1,400.
Buhari met dollar at N200 and he left it at N700.
APC is all about noise and lies. Go and check history. Obasanjo and PDP combined are even worse than the military era . Dollar was very stable at N22 for 5 good years under Abacha/Abdulsalam. OBJ and PDP met dollar at that same N22 and brought it to N180. That's 800% and these people were the ones that took over from the military giving birth to democracy. They laid the foundation for Naira's continued devaluation. See, we will continue to deceive ourselves if we hold B responsible and see A as the angel. |
