This generation is feeling the result of the weak and self centered foundation built by the founding fathers. It’s only going to get worse unless there’s a conscious effort to rebuild that foundation and forge a new path, which certainly takes decades to accomplish
I've always said that revolution in Nigeria is not possible because Nigerians are cowards before the fulanis. Only two group of people can cause a revolution and they're only Igbos and Hausas. Unfortunately, Hausas have been caged using religion and poverty. Igbos on the other hand have been given a bad press by caretakers of Nigeria. Though the drive for revolution(radical change) remain with us, it is not for Nigeria anymore. So, the caretakers can do anything that please them to the coward youths of Nigeria. See how thousands of people have been murdered in their ancestral lands by fulanis yet they did nothing. Let the criminals in the Senate ban the protests. When the jungle becomes too hot, only those made of fire will survive it. Death to the evil contraption.

May almighty God come to our rescue.

I also received serious slaps repeatedly, they stopped me while walking down Emanuel High Street, at Ogudu Ojota on earlier week of last month. I showed my ID card and they forced me to unlock my phone... When they saw nothing,I just received a sudden slap from one of them from behind and before I could say jack...another and another repeadly..

They drove dark blue sienna with police inscribed on it... They were all armed.

They eventually pushed me inside gutter when realised nothing to cash out from me.

Just left for home immediately... cry
Just imagine! Calling on God when humans have not done enough to stop the abuse is a waste of time. God only shows up when you've exhausted all avenues to address the situation. Why not march out in hundreds of thousands specifically against police brutality? Every other countries are doing it.

What have you done other than come here to read comments and wail?

When we see reoccurrences, we only but laugh despite the assurances given to curb this menace.

God help us all
If you consider things like this as very bad for the society, you don't have to laugh or make jokes about it. You don't trivialize such deadly issues. This is why the police will never respect the ordinary citizens. You make jokes out of abuses and oppression.

In the early 80s,the value of the Nigeria currency after the the civil war was at par with the British pound sterling until the then vp,in connivance with his economic adviser took advantage of the poor education of the president,by making economic policies that favour importation of all manner of goods into the country, even the ones we have high degree of comparative advantage. And,guest who the benefiaries were?Your guest is as good as mine.

Same restructuring OBJ could not do for 8years.

If anybody chooses to start a civil war now, it is welcomed cos present world politics favours Nigeria greatly.

Whoever is starting a wat should just wait a little so we can get delivery of our Tucano fighter jets from USA. After then they are free to make Nigeria test run the jets.
I like how you talk. You surey will test your Tucanos. Meanwhile, prepare for what you don't know as you will be fighting men who are ready to give their all for their belief. Nigeria will surely not survive it unless the world is prepared to watch over 50million people dead.

Lol. I'm very observant and analytical. I see the big picture and for SA, it's a big problem. The family system has been so distorted that I fear for the future.
Forgive my dwelling on your story. The world is changing fast and very few countries are immuned to the effect. I wonder if marriage will still be fashionable in 20yrs from now.

Oh, now I get you & you're not too far off in your observation, TBH. Yes, we do like amapantsula (tsotsis) or guys with a kasi vibe, because it's what we're used to. I'd say it's a "cultural thing" because almost all the guys are like that when they're much younger. Some grow out of it though, but some don't. In fact, my very 1st boyfriend was a typical, okapi-carrying township guy or a tsotsi, if you will tongue My own father still has that kind of a thing in him to date. He carries an okapi like most people do over here, but I think it's out of habit for him than anything else lol. We're Africans, our forefathers were warriors & walked around with spears, ready to defend themselves. I think South Africans never quite outgrew that because of our history & whatnot. We like a little air of danger grin

Lol, I disagree with you a bit on the commitment part because when we do commit, we commit truly. I can only speak for myself of course.
Lol. It's good you agreed with my observation. One thing I'll say again is commitment. It's very difficult over there irrespective of the abundance of love you may have for your man. You know what I'm talking about.
Lastly, I think your men understand you better. I got used to seeing a guy brutalizing a girl without interfering because I- a helper might end up being a victim of both partners. It's just unfortunate that they end up killing the ladies with reckless abandon. Tough love I'd say.

Ahhhhhh, here we go again! The strawman argument. No man must want me blah, blah, blah. FYI, I don't have a problem attracting or keeping men. I'm the one that's picky when it comes to relationships because I'd rather be single than be with someone I don't click with on all levels.
My point is you just like the average SA girl want independence even with that particular man that ticks all your expectations. Relationships are commitments and you don't want that but would want him to be. Lol. I understand you very well. From my experience, what fits most SA ladies are the 'totsies'. Once in a while, you run away from him and savour the abundance of nature then, return to him. Lol

Where should i start from? Is it the poor facilities that d govt (not)provided or d useless Italian that wanted 2 run. If there is no light or fan, let him buy 4 his own personal use now. Afterall many well-to-do families do that in 9ja.
I once saw a family that brought a generator and fan to one hospital in sagamu when i was serving there in 2010 because it was hot and there was no light.

That man is stingy and wicked wallahi! Haba! he could have done such even 4 his own PERSONAL USE!

don't doubt him, 90% or more of men don't love any woman till they die, their only true love is mostly their mother, and then maybe their daughter.

Most times what guys misunderstand as being in love is being in lust or being in need of emotional food called sex. Sex is love to men or let me say majority of men, whereas care (spending on them, providing their needs) is love to ladies. So don't argue a guy that tells you he hasn't loved any girl because truly many guys haven't and even married men cry
Certainly not true. Men do truly love.

He's not ready to get married, till 2 years time, I don't know if I'll still be available then, I offered to wait for him, he said no that what if he disappoints me at the end or I do too, we don't see often though in the same state cos he's busy and I'm busy, I like to bring up issues just to get his attention and when everything's seems boring, his bp rises when we have issues, same with mine, we hate each other when we fight but refused to let go, when we are together its all mushy mushy and love, but when on phone or chats, we fight every 2 to 3 days, with me being the instigator most times,

We are still together, more like a situationship, cos it feels like there is this need for us to be together, like a magnet or something......
I'd have not believed this if I've not witnessed this... My conclusion on such is that you are(the lady) is crazy. Lol

I'm going by the Nigerians I've seen here. That's how they fight. Talk, talk, talk, take off shirt & then talk some more. Like watching the chippendales at work grin
South African guys love knives. You hear the click of an okapi opening & you know it's about to go down. Anyway, I'm not a fan of violence, so I really don't care who fights dirtier. My statement was to rebut the claims made by the other guy.
Culture affects mode of fighting. SA men are exposed to fighting with weapons while the Nigerian men you saw are exposed to fisticuffs. The aggressive level differs too. SA men vent their anger on anyone without consideration while Nigerian guys are less brutal on women.
From the way you sound, even a lovely regular SA guy can't put up with you. I quite understand you though. A good number of SA women are independent minded hence the high number of single parents.

China has caused this nonsense with their rubbish eating habit. Mtchwww
Just a food for thought. Do you think a living animal have been carrying this sort of disease for centuries and humanity have not been wiped out all these years? This disease isn't from any animal; it is biologically engineered. Scientists have been playing with such for decades now with the aim of creating the ultimate disease that can be used for population control. The movie industries have been acting movies to this effect showing/warning that a simple accident can have these diseases seeping out of the lab and humanity faced with extinction. This is it now.
The Coronavirus is not from a pangolin and the Chinese government is hiding the true extent of the damage. Soon, more authentic figures will emerge and the world will be shocked.
NB: Panicking is expected but it won't solve the problem. Using common sense will help a lot. Avoiding crowds(partying/clubbing, religious gatherings, markets etc) will save you a lot. Following the prescribed safety measures will help too. Do your prayers at home!
Will common sense prevail over religiosity and superstition? Is it the end of the road for the black race who obviously can't feed, provide healthcare or handle the challenge that's required to control the outbreak. Tick tock says the clock.

The destruction Islam brought to the core north is a testament to the ability of the religion. Igbos can see it clearly and will have nothing to do with such.
