Lol no matter your money or how rich you are , most people have the impression that your wealth is gotten by bad ways either blood money, drug pushing, expired drug merchant, fake products etc. There are lots of good people among you who made clean money but that's the impression most people have . Go round Nigeria and do a survey.
You will agree with me that Igbos are not a lazy set of people. How we become successful still beats the imagination of a majority of the laid back Nigerians. Well I'll not bother to educate you on that. You and your likes can continue in your impression. How do you then explain the success of Igbos in the international circles beyond all other ethnic groups from Nigeria? It that through bad ways too? Lol. Let me tell you something about Igbos you don't understand. The drive to succeed is so high among us that we barely have time for pleasure. There are Igbo drunks but how many have you seen? In every field of endeavours, Igbos give their best. Of course when you meet those of us giving to crime, they'll add it to hasten their success but outside that, the majority love quality life and we work extra had to get it. How many Igbo beggars have you seen? Any Igbo servant you see today aims to be boss tomorrow so he doesn't relax in the belief that that is his destiny. It's not our fault- our genes are wired so.

Lol but your Igbo is not attractive , do you know how condescending Nigerians look at you due to your dubious act. Iyamiri you are one of the lowest rated ethnic group in Nigeria. Go and take a survey by going round and ask Nigerians what they think of you. Everyday you keep embarrassing yourselves. Did you see the video of your leader in a sex situation he posted to the internet?
As for being dubious, all groups of people have dubious characters among them. The major problem my people have is that they easily jeer(mock) at those who are less ambitious to a point that it leads to resentment. Take that away from us and you will have a new found darling in the whole Africa. I'm currently working on that among my people and the result will shock you. Meanwhile, continue slaughtering those who welcomed you with open hands. It's in your DNA to repay hospitality with bloodshed. The old Hausa kings and Afonja are a testament to who's more cunning.
As for Nnamdi Kanu, he's a human being and not perfect. He's not pretentious like you lots hence millions of us are with him. He's a pain in your neck the reason you want to water his influence by all means. We know all that. You are dealing with a highly enlightened Igbo youth this time and you're sure to lose. Nnamdi Kanu has refused all your offers hence your target at despoiling his image. Lol Biafraland is sacrosanct and we will defend her at all cost. This is the bond that binds us all together with Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

Have you figured out your lineage many problems and ills before minding that of others? You need to remove the plank in your eyes before looking at my gound.

All the names you dropped have one thing in common, they all have ibo handlers/bedmates and are the Yoruba bastardds, so you are welcome to make them your leaders in iboland.

You still don't get it that you ibos are Yoruba's number 1 enemy, not the north.

First of all, you are cunningly taking Awolowo's word out of context, and if going by your own word, was the East able to leave even with all the opportunity and assistance you received from outside world? Your greed for anything Yoruba got the best of you, your attempt to invade and take over Yorubaland got Yoruba involved and cost you the war.. Not only Yoruba but other nations within Nigeria could have left too cos, if one leaves, the urge for others to leave is high.

Lastly, it's either you haven't been paying attention to Yoruba's calls asking you ibos to leave our region or you are just being ibo, seeing things in reverse as usual. We don't know what ibos want, you say something and do the opposite, just start walking your talks by at least moving to iboland and asking for ibo country only and watch how the rest of Nigeria will take you serious and support you.

You can't tie yourself down in my backyard and then scream they won't let you go.
Don't really know the way some of you reason. You can't tell a group of people where to or not to live in their country especially when they're not violent. Igbos are ever ready to leave your region when Biafra is established. It's not as though you're feeding the Igbos in your region; you're just pained that they're progressing as against your evil wishes. Igbos are actively planning for leaving Nigeria- everyone can attest to it but you guys don't have anything to show for the unity or division of the evil contraption.

Southern Nigeria especially South East is one of fraud centers in the world, where scammers and dishonest people are found, one of the places with highest kidnapping places in the world , money ritualist centers in the world .Do we also talk about drug pushers or you want to talk about people youths stealing panties and bra of ladies for money?
Situation in the north is bleak yet most Igbos in the north can't go home due to the situation in your region.
The north is ruling you because you people don't have what it takes to rule else what have you been doing about the fact the north is ruling other than crying of marginalization everyday. It is weak people that keep crying of marginalization everyday. Strong people lead and take decision. You claim you are advanced and educated yet you keep crying crying of marginalization everyday.
Deep within you, you know we are never weaklings. As a matter of fact you fear us hence you crawl before any world power and gratiate their thirst just to secure their support at clinging onto ruling Nigeria and stopping us. Lol, despite all you've been doing we are still waxing strong. Your people are already preparing themselves for a country without us because they know the caliber of skin we possess. Your poverty, illiteracy and wicked hearts will be your undoing. Does it not bother you that IDP camps litter your region when Nigeria is not officially at war?

Everyday you keep coming up with write ups like this, north is dead , oppressive people of the north, north is this north is that. Why cant you focus on how to move your people forward and realise your Biafra dream? You people are pained that in Nigeria you have no influence , the reason is because of what you are dubiousness, money money, ego ego, materialism materialism. If you are honest people like Hausa, Igbo would have been also been a second language in the South especially South East and Niger delta region, but what happened they run away because you are not attractive due to how you people are. If the north detaches you to go away and you are left with the Niger Delta people that's when you will understand that you got no influence on them.
Hausa is spoken in all the 19 northern states and that is a unifying factor and you can't change that. And that is what you lack in your region.
Lol. So Hausa language is the only good thing you could offer to the minorities in your midst? Have you not been a harbinger of death to them too? Don't think we don't know how condescending you look at them. You cup is almost full anyway. Till then grab as much as you can.

@ bolded, vastly different. but i'll come back to that.

My first question, since this is a comparison of African countries, which country in Africa has every successfully outfought an insurgent group? Don't forget there are over 30 such groups in operation all over Africa. Has Egypt defeated their own? Kenya? Answer this question too.

Back to comparing the Nigerian situation with the Western situation. There is a vast difference.

1. The Nigerian army when it operates in the North is considered an invasive force. Local communities are cooperating with the insurgents. That's the fact. The Nigerian army operates in the north under the same condition coalition forces operated in in places like Afghanistan and Iraq.
2. Boko haram has a large physical presence within Nigeria (again, because it does have local support), compounded by porous borders with difficult neighbors. Do the westerners have to deal with that?
3. Nigeria has a difficult geographical problem given its proximity to Libya and Mali through which arms and fighters flow into Nigeria.
Lol @ the Nigerian Army been considered an invasive force within her territory of jurisdiction. Can you even hear yourself making excuse for incompetence? Don't make excuses for gross ineptitude. One major rule in military circles is that failures should never be reinforced. Nigeria military might as at today is far below par. You lack weapons, no concrete strategies and poor tactical manoeuvres are your hallmarks hence the shody performance. A ragtag boko haram has dragged your army for 10yrs and are still occupying territories. You have no excuse my friend.

You should have just answered my question to the best of your ability instead of forcing yourself down the same tangent you are on. It was a simple question and let me illustrate the answer.

We start with economics. There are very few countries in the world that produce all their weapons for themselves. It doesn't make economic sense. You instead follow the principle of comparative advantage and you produce only where necessary, and you buy the rest where necessary.

Israel gets the majority of its weapons from the USA till today. France and UK too buy from the USA. So does Nigeria.

So my question as to the relevance of producing your bullets is rephrased this way: If you make your own weapons over there in South Africa, and I buy my own from USA, who then has the better weapons? Is manufacturing capability then a factor in quality of weapons at ones disposal? Reason it for yourself.
You're just making a fuss were it's unnecessary. Countries with expertise in military hardware production will always have an edge over those who will depend entirely on purchases from outside. As for comparative advantage, we all know that it's applicable everywhere even in ordinary food production which Nigeria is grossly in won't of. You can't even feed your teeming populace. Just google the military hard of SA and Nigeria and compare for yourself. Nigeria is not even close. Averagely, when you think of SA, you only see the black South Africans but you forget that the white folks over there are still part and parcel of the country and they are still running the most sensitive departments of the land. Nigeria will be taken seriously when she starts producing rudimentary ammunition like ordinary bullets. Without submarines your navy are just sitting ducks and I can wager that even next 10yrs to come you still won't be able to maintain one. Lol

I didn't say they all left.

What does manufacturing aircraft have to do with having a strong military?

Nigeria may not make our own bullets but we make our own armored personnel carriers and even some water vessels, so what's your point?
Lol. Caliber of armoured personnel carrier you manufacture is those used against militia groups and not for a national army. Are you serious with those questions you asked? Any country that can't manufacture bullets are not fit to protect her territorial integrity. Do you know SA manufacture guided missiles? You better wake up from slumber. Nigeria is still far back in the 1930s according to military standards. No Submarine with your vast shorelines? Mr man you're dreaming.

Not a single South African soldier played a role in the fight against boko haram. Those were mercenaries and they have little to do with the current South African army.

Secondly the South African army drastically changed after apartheid. The whites who were well trained and highly respected largely left to become mercenaries.
Not exactly true. Some did leave others remained. Do you know SA manufacture fighter aircrafts? Ordinary bullets Nigeria don't even manufacture. Lol

Lol. In your dreams. In a war between Nigeria and South Africa in the absence of any external help South Africa will win especially if it becomes a protracted one. The useless Nigerian army have no weapons nor can they manufacture any deadly ones. The only advantage Nigeria have is population which can easily be rendered useless with superior tactics with Nigeria clearly lacks. Bolo haram has exposed the gross ineptitude of the boy scouts called Nigerian Army. For God sake, how many countries still use towed artillery?

Though I dislike T.Y Danjuma but I'll have to acknowledge his boldness in saying things the way it should be as against Gowon who's busy running in circles calling for prayers without pointing at the source of the problem. Both men were high ranking soldiers and know very much about the evil Nigerian Army. The die is cast. Let's see how it pans out after the demise of these men. It's very clear that in this evil contraption, only two ethnic groups know what they want are a working to achieve them. Only Ndigbo and Hausa/fulanis; others are wishing on and off without any plans. In 10yrs time, the future of Nigeria would have been very clear to what shape she shall remain for the rest of the century. Ndigbo continue with our independent quest with all we got while the fulanis should continue with their slaughter. Non of these will stop between now and a decade to come. Adieu Nigeria!

I remember saving a lady in distress in such a manner in 1997.

I was listening to Tupac & Biggie when..... next door I heard " I WILL KILL YOU TODAY" with a baby wailing loudly in the background.

I dashed to their house and slammed my shoulders against the door, breaking the lock. The whole place was turned upside down, furniture everywhere.
Hmmm, that was very brave of you. Pls finish the story and tell us if you died after he finished reloading.

As soon as i could adjust my eyes to the dim lighting, i saw the woman cowering in the corner, baby in her arms and

her husband coming out with a gun ... shocked shocked shocked

3 quick steps with my long legs and i flung myself across their small parlour like David De Gea saving a shot.

Several things happened at once - I saw the muzzle flash, heard the deafening bang & felt a hard punch to my chest

Just like an elephant kicked me. I was pushed into the woman's bosom pushing her off-balance.

She held me in her arms with her baby, blood was gushing from my chest..... i was wheezing embarassed

I then remembered the saying " If you hear a gunshot, you are not dead"

It turned out that i was lucky, the bullet had entered the metal whisky flask i kept in my breast pocket to drown my sorrows. cry

I looked up and i saw the murderous look in the husband's eyes....he was reloading.

To be continued undecided

Dont start a conversation with insults ,if you want to have a civil discussion. Now ,you can point out the distinction or better not say a thing. Ihiala, is one of the southern towns in Anambra but they have the Ozo system. However, according to you ,your king said you dont have it but just for the single reason that your name starts with Nze makes you superior over those thats practices it....Onwero ife Nwa Okodu ama anu! Does this even make sense to you??

Now, how am I dividing Ndigbo ? Please, answer that question. How ?
When Enugu state government after state creation sacked all Anambra state workers were was Igbo unity?? When Abia was sacking civil servants not from Abia where was Igbo unity?? When Jim Nwobodo sabotaged Alex Ekwueme Presidential aspiration where was Igbo unity?? When Rochas betrayed Peter Obi and insulted Anambra state government where was Igbo unityhuh When Obiano hosted burial ceremony for all the fallen Biafran soldiers and not a single south east governor showed up where was Igbo unity??

Oga, go through my post history and respectfully respect yourself. I dont have time for your failed Igbo agenda but I am from Anambra through and through and I will defend and fight for advancement of my fathers land and culture.

For the fact you dont have Nze na Ozo is not the end of the world. Be proud of who you are and stop telling stupidd lies like somegirl and mbos. Igbo is not homogeneous and can never be because there are part of Igbo land that eat python snake and the true Anambra people with the pure culture will not dine with such people. You lots cant break what we are building in Anambra, you will die before you achieve that!

Now, go put on some costumes and dance Nkpokiti...I like Atilogwu!
You're quite funny Bro Priest. I've known you for long on Nairaland and you still remains myopic. Your greatest cultural aim is a monolithic Anambra while mine and other visionaries have ours in the great Igbo nation. You are not different from the clueless government of those states you mentioned earlier who acted stupidly in dismissing Igbos from government jobs in Igboland. Your goal in trying to segregate and propagate a superior Anambra is driving a wedge in our wheel of oneness. This you have consistently failed to see. Ojukwu of blessed memory was a very wise man. He lived all his life in Enugwu despite being from Anambra. Do you know why he did so? Guys like you that brag with their states fail to see that they can't grow with such mindset. As for me, as long as my feet is on any part of Igboland, I see it as home.
As for calling Umunze migrants, I laugh at your ignorance. All parts of Anambra have people who came from other parts of Igboland to settle in their midst. The Awka people have Ama-obia. Aro settlers litter Southern Anambra. The omambala area have Igala invaders yet today we are all Igbos. This is what you fail to understand. Cultural infuences happen everywhere and it's a two way thing. When Anambra state was being created no special criteria was used but as the state emerged, her constituent communities started gravitating towards a common identity with additions and subtraction of customs, nothing more.
As for eating Eke, we do proudly eat them same as Awka people would do to any python that goes beyond her border. Some parts of Umunze weren't eating them in the days of old as I was told but after some events, we as a community decide they were worthy of consumption and that's our stand till date. Speak of what you know.
For Nkpokiti, I'm always ready. Come join me during our Ihejioku. O ga di kpokpo.

Umunze have a history tracing their origin to present day Ohafia area. Same with Isuochi, Umuchieze , Nneato and surrounding areas in Imo and Abia.
They all have history of origin tracing them back to the far Eastern part of present Igboland, close to our borders with the Akwa Ibom groups. Yet the name of their progenitor was "Nze". You can see how extensive the word Nze is Igboland? It wasn't invented by the Nri like some people think. Also notice that Nze( Umunze progenitor) wife was named Lolo , surprised, right?

Additionally, I recently read Agbor history by EA Iduwe and he talked about the cult of Agbalanze that was instituted by Ogele (Agbor Patriarch) in the early formative years of Agbor), and for your info, Agbor doesn't recognize Nri influence.

So that's two Nze from far East and far west of Igbo speaking realm.

All creation of artificial identities like Anioma, Omambala etc are going to do in Igboland would be to deliberately bury every minute detail that could link the newly created artificial identities to the larger Igbo body and magnification of minute things that separates the artificial construct from the rest of Ndiigbo outside the new artificial identity.
This would in turn make it near impossible for us to ever come close to solving the Igbo missing puzzle and unravelling how we all related and dispersed to current locations.

I would agree with you on most things, but you see this your Omambala agenda, it will have to stay confined to Anambra East, Anambra West and Oyi, where it rightfully belongs. Any attempt to expand it beyond those borders would be met with resistance.

I apologize if you feel slighted by my Ijele comments about Flavour. I meant no harm, you are a person I might sometimes disagree with, but would always respect.
Nna, you always have my respect. The Nze cult is actually an old one that's found almost all over Igboland. Some retained it while others did away with it but local names attests to its existence there. Umunze where I hail from is one of such and I've seen another Umunze somewhere around Abia but it seemed a clan name rather than a community or town. Our former Igwe as I heard once responded to the question of us not having the Ozo titleship by telling them that being the Children of an Nze already placed us above Ozo title holders. You see how customs change from area to area among our republican people. This same thing I believe is the reason behind our lack of Kings in most communities of old.
I want to ask you a question which is a little off this topic. Do you know extent of Obi Ossai's authority in the old Ukwuani territory? I'm surprised a lot of present day Ukwuanis don't know about him.

You know I replied you based on your logic. Are you aware of that?

Ok. This was my response to your other quote but think this response is kinda appropriate for this as well.

've always admitted that Igbo name and Igbo language has been existing in Ika land for a few centuries which suggests there must have been some unrecorded Igbo migration into Ika land. My problem with you guys is making bogus speculations and going to the extent of fabricating and concocting non existing history. We Ika people know our history. You don't come to our land and tell us we're settlers and should vacate our ancestral land. This is the height of insolence. This attitude is the reason Igbo is hated today by every other groups

Back to your question. The percentage of Igbo names and words in Ika is very minimal. It not up to 20% about 3 centuries ago. There are many factors responsible for the encroachment of Igbo language into Ika and one of them is the Colonial masters and Christianity. The Colonial masters imposed Igbo on us - Even the Edos said Igbo and Yoruba was imposed on them though I don't know how it happened. Our ancestors were thought Igbo and Igbo language was used in churches and courts and many other places. Many people today can't pray in Ika language except in Igbo language. Even I can't say "Our Lord's Prayer" in Ika because I was thought that in Igbo. Churches like Catholic, Baptist, Anglican, even Cherubim and many other churches do all their recitals in Igbo and it's the norm to try to pray in Igbo language. Igbo was like the Latin of Ika churches still existing till date.

Another factor is the population of Igbo speakers. Igbos are existing in 5 States and these 5States States have little amount of non Igbos in them. The Igbo States are mostly populated by Igbo people which shows the Igbos have always had a very high population. Inspite of Igbos populating 5 States, there is no where you go to without seeing a high number of Igbos. You guys are everywhere. Some years back when I was in Abuja, I sometimes wonder if Abuja is turning into Igbo land. All the taxi, molue and even El rufai drivers are Igbo. Wherever you go to, they speak Igbo to you as if it's the new lingua franca of Nigeria. If you reply in English, you see a great shock on their face. Same thing with Lagos. Even outside of Nigeria, Igbos are everywhere in large numbers.

And wherever Igbos are large number, they invade and occupy and make that place their home. No intention of going back home. After that, they start looking for ways to rename the place and Igbonize it. If they see for instance, a place called Ife for instance, they wouldn't call it Ife but they will call it a name like Ifeyinwa, and concoct a story of how a certain Ifeyinwa is the founder of that place. And if Igbos are there in large numbers or if this place is close to Igboland, this name and story will stuck wiping away the original name and history. They also do this for people's name and words. I'm talking from experience and observations.

Another way Igbos influence others is the media including movies, and music (especially gospel music) and other means. I can go on and on.
Lol. This one don loss kpatakpata. Chai! Na so your igbophobia reach?

Igbo n'asu n'olu n'olu is the key to appreciating our diverse ways of speech and every Igbo speaker must strive to learn and communicate with more popular Igbo dialects like Onitsha or Umuahia and of course the hybrid Igbo which everyone understands. If we go about communicating in our specific dialects then Igbo language becomes difficult.
One of the rare times I agree with you. We all must strive to speak one of the most popular of Igbo dialects and not rigidly stick to our individual dialects. That would be an exercise in futility.

True.
Ezza say "Gunu", Orumba in Anambra say "Nnu", Like you already pointed out, Owerri( Oratta) say "Nini", Ikwere say "Kini", these things vary from place to place in the Igbo dialect continuum.

Ezaa people will say "Bia ikaa"
Orumba will say "Bia kan"
Nkanu will say "Bia Weehu/Nowa"

"Ikaa", "Weehu/Nowa" and "Kan", meaning HERE, yet "Ebea" was chosen as central Igbo, which all of them use when communicating with Igbos not from their own parts of Igboland.
We from Orumba use either of these two- gunu and nnu.

Cry Baby.

Just wasted my time reading this crappy interview of this man. I thought his praise singers, hail him as an intelligent person?this just shows to you that these groups in the East are nothing, but fronts for these Eastern Agitators, while claiming not to be in the know in public.

So, this man is saying the Government should negotiate with IPOB?because to him, they are negotiating with the Militants in the Niger Delta?while mentioning OPC.

This guy is a Joke. I thought the people from "Warri" hold sway in the comedy sector in Nigeria? did not know the East is trying to give the Wafferians a good run for their money, by sending this Joke to be the President of an important organization.

For starters, the Niger Delta Militants or the OPC had never, will never, and dont agitate for the break of Nigeria. And these is what the IPOB stands for. This Oliver Twist, is complaining there are no Igbo's in the Intelligence community in Nigeria. So until the Intelligence Agencies in Nigeria has a 90% Igbo membership, that is when you guys will become satisfied?moreover it will even be stupid to entrust anything to the East for now.

When Germany and Japan fell in the Second World War. The Allied Nations, knew that there were and will be elements of dissents in those countries, and what did they do? the US established Military bases in Germany and Japan with a view to keeping an eye on them for the next "100" Years, just in case they want to start something again, while depriving them of Nuclear Capabilities.

It is this same strategy that should be used by the Nigerian Government, with the East, so as to keep an eye on them. The Civil war is not even "100" Years, and they are back again, with the chant for the same Biafra.

Losers.
I like the way you write. Mind you Ndigbo by nature of creation do not accept dominance. We will fight against it at any cost. Always remember that. We will gladly accept whatever the white man say if he would assist us to lay our enemies waste. Take note winner!
