dearpreye:I've since understood that change is the most constant thing in life and so I worry for the minority tribes of the Niger delta. The Igbos a majority of them were deceived to hate will always find a way out of the labyrinth given that the highest thing they pride themselves in is their sheer drive to succeed(human resource). This makes them to always be progressives. Also, when it comes to the natural resources Igboland is not lacking in one bit not even the so called oil. Many a times it leaves me in wonder as to whether the minorities are critical thinkers. Why will they choose to believe the story of their oppressors and short-changers when there resources are being pillaged with reckless abandon right before their eyes? Have the youth of these tribes ever pondered what will be their lot if the oil suddenly dries up tomorrow? Do they ever sit down to think about what will befall them should oil lose its relevance tomorrow? Who most likely will be their allies when trouble comes knocking by the door- bakassi comes to mind. It is very pathetic to say the least when I see any of such youth insulting the Igbos based on what they have been fed by the evil Nigerian government. I once had an Isoko colleague who always challenges me. He always tries to go against anything of my choice and it was very obvious to the other guys. One day I called him and sought to have an thorough discussion to sort out our areas of friction. It was in the course of that tete a tete that I discovered his hatred for Ndigbo. When I prodded further I noticed the damage that the fallacious Nigerian media has done to him. To cut the story short, I told him that whether Nigeria remains or breaks my people will always be at the top because of our human resources which is a product of our self belief and then asked him what will be of his people the day oil gets finished of which he couldn't answer me. Now I pose the same question to any brilliant youth of the minorities of the Niger delta. |
atbu1983:So says the god of all men. Your word is final and you decide what happens. Its quite laughable how some people reason out of hatred. A Yoruba man deciding whether an Igbo man will Join biafra or not! Its very funny of you. |
MadCow1:Let me put your statement in another way. Are you saying you prefer to die a slave than fight a war? I don't pretend not to understand what informed your fears. You've said them already and it was quite a huge loss I must say but that is not sufficient for a real Igbo man to chose servitude for the rest of his life. I admonish you to appraise the situation again and you may have a change of mind. I will not support a war that will fought on emotional and reactionary basis. A war without defined plan is madness. I won't fight such a war and I know ndigbo won't fight such a war again. This time around every Igbo man should have a special goal for our people outside his other goals and that should be the freedom of our people. Anything you can do, design or buy should be to inflict maximum damage on any group who would want to be an impediment to our God given right. Our freedom should be more important than the lives of our enemies. They have shown us that they won't want to us happy and so we should be irrational in our quest for freedom. This is why I say Nigeria will never survive her oppressive stance on our people. I have dedicated my life for that cause. Whether biological, nuclear or crude weapons will be employed. We are watching. |
Anseth:... Also, just after I wrote about Shekau's absence and his silence against buhari, he just popped out to call buhari a liar. We will always make them to be on their toes until the become leprous. What evildoers fail to understand is that wickedness can never be hidden forever. It must surely be exposed some day. |
disumusa:O boy see English. In Timaya's voice *chaaaiiiiiiiii* |

That gigantic thing from my findings is not an idol. It is an instrument of communication in the olden days. It can found in each of the villages that make up my town. Big crusades have been held in my town and there are churches all over my town yet not even one of those have been burnt. While I don't know the position of this Ikoro in Uga I believe the penticostal pastor is really erring. He shouldn't destroy such artifacts that tells us a lot about our past. Ikoro can be found in almost all the towns and communities 30km radius from my town and this Uga falls within it. I did see some in parts of Abia state neighbouring my town. If there's any one with a better info let him clarify. |
gabazin080:It is always good to understand an issue before delving into it. Kindly go through the news once again and modify your response. |
This is by no way an average result. Any result without a D7 is a good result. He is a brilliant guy if it was gotten without any aid. Now, as regards exam malpractice it is exclusive to any region. East West North South it abounds and it is a regrettable situation and highly condemnable. The Igbos and Yorubas are a group endowed with very brilliant people no doubt but if we're to check by sheer number then the Igbos are ahead. Its difficult for some Yorubas to stomach but there are results to confirm my assertions. No Igbo will bad mouth the west if a Yoruba brings forth his excellent academic result but that cannot be said if it was the other way round. Why is it so? I schooled in the north and the Igbos dominated the top positions in various sets I knew including my set and even after my set. This was in a Yoruba dominated school. Even when I served in Yoruba land the best student in my class was an Igbo boy. I knew what I saw there; a missionary school for that matter. They couldn't involve me because the proprietor who should by now be obvious couldn't face me with respect to the crime. I was known to be very disciplined and God fearing. |
Good job Francis5. The Holy Bible says that one should not argue with a fool lest he too be assumed a fool. The next equally said that one should argue with the fool to show him his folly. Nwanne you've done a nice job. |
Eastlink:There are few ways to go about it but I'm certain it doesn't involve getting into alliance with the Yorubas. Already they are a defeated people when you look at their availability to be subservient to the Hausa/fulanis unless they prove otherwise which I doubt they will. What we need do is to strengthen our alliances and cooperation among the SE/SS and deal with any area where doubt and suspicion may arise. Any ethnic supremacist should not be entertained. Then we must persuade our people to be selective in their choice of areas to invest. Dangote is doing this already because he knows 'whats up'. Then our politicians should be held accountable for every mandate given to them even if it means we use some as examples to let others know that we serious. With this we can push for a restructure. If this fails then we can prepare for war. Then strategically we must turn some peoples land to the war theatre so that they can understand how it feels. I have said much already. They have little control over all that I've said. |

dearpreye:Do not fear them rather be wary of them. I tell you the truth: those people have more conscience than a majority of Oduduwa's offsprings. Former CBN governor Sanusi admitted and mentioned the great wickedness met on the Igbo people openly but till date no Yorubaman has ever done so in recent times. Who are those who are quick to upload pictures of dying women and children of the genocidal civil war called biafran war? See how they constantly put dissension among people of the old eastern region so that they can easily continue to steal from the regions. No Yorubaman will ever ask the FG to build another seaport in the ss so as to decongest Lagos but they will be quick to threaten people to leave their region. We all witnessed the last election and we saw how they kept mute to the underage voters in the north but still went on to call it the freest and fairest election simply because it didn't favour Gej. It took another northerner to say the truth which is that it is the almaJiri(underage) votes that ensured buhari won the election. I have come to understand that majority of the Yorubas have suppressed their conscience. It is their choice and they have made. May they live with the consequences of their choice. |
dearpreye:Pls tell them to look beyond their present benefits which is not even guaranteed because if something that can render them impotent comes up then the little crumbs they're getting will be denied them. Let's team up together and force a restructure or secede if our oppressors deny us the former. Before the end of next year a strong man will be uprooted. It shall be a sign to us that God is with us in our quest to freedom. |
dearpreye:This is how a visionary man analyses situations. I'm glad to have met another after barcanista. I see hope for our children. This evil set up can never continue unchallenged. I know those that are my enemies and I know those that are not my friends. These two should be well planned for. Not to forget the sabotuers amongst us; it will be better for them if they weren't born. However the right time is key to our success. You have my friendship comrade. |
theDEVILisHERE:Pls tell those who support what is going on in this one Nigeria. As long as injustice and wickedness persist war is bound to happen. It is only a matter of time. |
I respect Mazi Ezeife so much but here I have to register my displeasure at his response. There are times when silence is golden. Leave buhari and his cohorts and plan something else. We don't need a soothsayer to tell us our state of affairs in this Nigeria. Keep silent and plan something else umunne. We sincerely do not need appointments like he rightly said. What is of utmost importance is capital projects and infrastructures but we know they won't bring any so why still talking to them. Brothers plan something different that will benefit our people. Once again: death to this Nigeria. One naive moderator banned me weeks ago. You can still go ahead and ban me again but the truth still remains; as long as a component of this Nigeria is been mistreated Nigeria will remain vulnerable to destruction. Its just a matter of time. |
Shuffering and shmilling
RIP Fela Kuti |
There's this family I know so well in the middle belt who have this set up. The father was a soldier who participated in the civil war from plateau state and their mother is from either Imo or Abia state. Their mother named them Igbo names: Kelechi, Uche, Ogochukwu etc Some of them esp the males were interested in their mother's side unlike the females. Unfortunately their mother passed on when the girls where just getting matured. |
Is the history of Umunze not very spectacular. How a supposed slave who turned out to be well caring and disciplined was elevated to a fatherly figure? Such is the character of her people today, so peaceful, loving and welcoming. You will fall in love with the town when you visit it. The Eziagu's are well treated and taking as our people during customary functions but taking as a separate people for political purpose. For instance, an Eziagu man does the same traditional rites as a man from umunze during the traditional marriage ceremony unlike others from another town. Also, from my enquiries I got to find out that we never had any caste system among us. The usual reverence many communities have for certain plants or animals is absent here too. I asked from an elderly woman and she told me we sometime had such but it was stopped after the problems it generated continuously. She said a meeting was called by our Ndichies and other elders and it was publicly rejected by us as a people for the benefit of all. Today we do not reverence any item any more except for some very old people who are still stuck to past like my late grandma who wouldn't allow anyone cook a python's flesh in her pots. Her village within our town forbids the killing of pythons. I speak well of my place because of the positive steps many of our people took to make her a good place. This is not in any done to spite any other people. I AM PROUD OF UMUNZE. |

Plants have different colours animals too why would humans be unsatisfied with the various colour shades that the creator has given to us? What is wrong with a black or dark brown pigmentation? Will peeling off your skin change you from being a negroe? What happens to your thick lips and wooly hairs? Only foolish people will go for this. I personally don't hold those who bleach on high esteem irrespective of how comely they may look because I know that behind that facade lies an individual with issues of inferiority occasioned by his/her inherited pigmentation. Black is beautiful and black is strong. Glory to our creator. Lastly, back in the days whenever I see those plan shaped, thin-looking ladies called models I get confused. My mind goes like: do these people know what beauty is? As I grew up I came to understand what was happening. It was all politics. Women with curves and big behinds were never appreciated in the media but today the story is different. People pay heavily while risking their lives to get that which was once derided simply because it was a trademark among the negroes. Have you asked your self this question: why will Angelina Jolly's thick lips be more referenced when it is what the blacks have in abundance? Why wasn't that of a pretty Janet Jackson be extolled? Why Kim kardashian and not Serena Williams? We've got what they admire but they wouldn't admit it. I frown at racism that's why I took my time to lay it out for our jejunely minded folks who are not critical of what they are fed by the media. |
essentialone:I disagree with you. The worst peace is never better than the best war. Take for instance: the 'peace' that exists between a bully and his victim. As long as the victim cooperates he's safe. Is that what you want for Ndigbo? NEVER! Now I'm not in support of a spontaneous reaction to the oppressive treatment met on our people. I'd subscribe to a well prepared, planned and coordinated response. If we do this no one can stop us. Finally, the appropriate time is very important. Timing is key to the success of every endeavour. Take this from me: Time is the indicator of God's perfect approval of our extreme expectations. We can never continue to be treated like slaves in our own lands. It shall last for ever. |

Igboland will be great once again. When we have learnt our lessons fully then the invincible hand of the righteous one will bring succour to us and He will strike terror in the hearts of our enemies such that confusion will be their lot and all their plots and snares will fail. According to the time of life so shall it be. The current gang-up against us can never last for ever. By His grace I shall see the day it elapses. |
Why would Ohaneze keep on with the disgrace? Let them keep quiet and leave buhari to do what's on his mind. That's how real elders behave. How can you be respected when you always open your mouth to complain? Your predictable nature makes it easier for your oppressor to continue with his neglect. Leave buhari alone to do as he wish. |
The particular station that those murderous policemen operated from should be made to produce the perpetrators of that gruesome killings. Failure to do should come with a price. Let that station lose some policemen too. That will make all the dpo's in Aba to hold their officers accountable and ensure discipline. It may not be immediately but let them also know that they can be killed. I hate injustice with all that is in me. |
No one seems to notice that since the emergence of buhari shekau simply disappeared. How can he appear in a video without sending insulting and warning messages to the president as was his custom during gej's era? Could it be true that he was the actual person killed during that famous konduga battle such that creating a video with him mentioning buhari was an impossibility? Either way one thing is certain: so far boko haram has not yet sent any direct message to buhari. Could there be any reason for this? |
