Ask4bigneyo:If you earn 50k and are a family man, then you are only existing and not living. Propagating generational poverty isn't something to be proud of. |
Pennilessword1:The blood of Jesus is enough for the rest of those who refuse to leave. ![]() |
taiwotimitt:You obviously have comprehension problems. This is what happens when you bring your issues to Nairaland and have SSCE students who are still being fed, comment on your issues. |
Nigeria has no future, if you are really in the medical field like you claim, why are you still in Nigeria? |
If I understand your writeup, you are currently being sponsored in school, I will advise you to complete it and leave the country, by any means, just leave. |
ImoleNaija:What they are trying to say they are a spring chicken and should be applauded for having #8m at "just 25" |
Cant take what he gives? |
LifeofDream:I don't think you possess the mental acuity to contribute anything meaningful to this kind topic. Run along now, boy. |
Feldie:When the UK was being industrialized in the 1800s, what were our ancestors doing? What was their excuse? They were busy fighting for the slave trade not to be abolished. They wanted to keep selling people to the white man who no longer needed human labor because they had developed machines to do their grunt work. Your critical reasoning faculties are rather weak, this is the beginning of the year, so there is hope for you. |

Raf4:And what is the point you are trying to make? You are implying that Iwo too will be "up there" soon? There is no prize for being first to comment without saying anything reasonable. |
emdis:For example, I know someone who got a $15k gig just by approaching the CTO of a European Tech Coy on Twitter and selling their skills (sounds unbelievable to some but it's true). It doesn't have to be Upwork, it can even be Facebook, Twitter, and Linkedin, do you need to pay for that too? There are opportunities around you, if you can demonstrate your skillset, you won't lack work. The only thing standing in between you and better offers is yourself. |

Since you have decided to go defensive without facts, Here is a 1920 picture of Birmingham, a 3rd tier city in the UK: Iwo in the year 2100 will not look like Birmingham of 1920. Our ancestors failed and we are continuing with the trend they set. I await your next excuse for why Africa has/is still underdeveloped.

#30k/month or #300k/month? How do you accept a job offer for #30k/month in todays Nigeria, with your skillset? If you send out 500 proposals on Upwork etc per month, you will have enough clients/projects to earn you 10 times that pay. Dont do this to yourself, they sensed your desperation and capitalized on it. Sorry about your experience. |
Is #300k that wonderful a salary in Nigeria or are the majority of the people commenting on this thread, unemployed graduates with no responsibilities, still living in their parent's houses in Adodo Ota, Ogun state? |
Xkale1996:He should fly out where? And to do what? And why? |
zebszebs:"The evil that men do lives after them, while the good is interred with their bones". When I made the quoted statement, Akeredolu was still vacillating between the decision of resigning and handing over power to his erstwhile deputy or not. Now all the evil he did now being blamed on his wife and son, while he has crossed over to the great beyond to face his maker. |
IGBOSON1:And the people of Oyo weren't raiding other tribal nations, plundering them, and enslaving them? The 16-year Kiriji Wars fought between the Western Yorubaland (Oyo and Ibadan) versus Ekiti Parapo, etc is a joke to you? Our forefathers were myopic, backward-thinking who put religion and archaic cultural practises over science. Here we are today, not even attempting to catch up, either through innovation or copy and paste, like China and Japan did. Africa/Nigeria IMHO is NGMI. |
If this is how 1938 looked like, imagine what 1838 would have been, talkless of 1538? And we wonder why Europeans look down on us and relate with us from a condescending position? We never were, and never will be in the same league with them. Here is a picture of London in 1938

Nairaland is always not up to date with current affairs. The previous Chief-of-Staff has since resigned and Ehie appointed in his stead, yet Nairaland is just waking up. |
As of today, there are 3,114,119 accounts on Nairaland. I put it to you that Alex Reports owns 114,119 of those monikers. The man opens 1 a minute to push his asinine posts to the front page. |
NationalNews is a new AlexReports moniker? I can smell him from a mile away. Update: spotted
|
Sim seems to be the first spinless Ijaw man I have seen. I thought those people claimed to be lions in human flesh? |
Men are the what again? Men are the prize. Let us share the grace in fellowship. |
Isnt this the fake man of the cloth with the failed Premier league predictions? Anyone who still believes the words of these men must be daft |
SeriouslySense:You are trolling right? |
As a segue, the Northern part of Nigeria is hellish. The environment is so harsh, seeing these pictures just brought back long-buried memories. |
delpee:His son who fancies himself the heir to the throne and his wife who is busy fighting both real and imagined are his main enemies. Sad that at your lowest point, you look around and realize you really have no one who loves you altruistically |
Jagaban2012:A #50 prophylactic would have prevented this. |
Freshtruth:Someone who is already half-past-dead? |
A man who is on the brink of the afterlife is still clinging on to power as a starving monkey latches onto the teat of its mother. Akeredolu isn't returning to Ondo on his two feet, unaided, so, why can't he just relinquish power? I mean, how many months does he have left? |
politicoNG:A wild thought entered my head as I sighted the picture of Sim Fubara's head. If I break it open, will I find gold inside? |
