Anyone who joins the NPF in this day and age is a budding criminal, or a potential serial killer looking for an outlet, so when I hear of stories like this, I am never surprised. Even this PRO fellow was the same person who said, "Police do not accept bribes, but they collect appreciation". Pray, what is "appreciation" and what is a "bribe"? This why I laugh at the idiocy of people who claim splitting the country into parts (e.g. that Yoruba Nation extremist, Maiyegun General who posts his invectives on YouTube from faraway Scotland). will solve all ills. Split South West into a thousand pieces, and you will find people with the same language, culture, and religion, still having issues with themselves and resorting to violence as seen in this post and Ife v Modakeke internecine war of the late 90s/early 2000s. |

I think they meant Lagos, Portugal, because how? Even if people are deceiving you, should you deceive yourself? Lagos that has: 1. No running water 2. Untarred, pothole-scarred, inner-city roads 3. Refuse is most times left unpicked for weeks and in some cases months by LAWMA 4. Stagnant gutters, filled with greenish effluents and other human waste, forming a breeding ground for vampire-like, blood-sucking mosquitoes. 5. Large swaths of the city are governed by non-state actors who go about shaking down small businesses and individuals for unofficial taxes and levies. I don't think any reasonable, non-criminal-minded individual thinks of joining the NPF, no jobs in the country or not. That organization is rated the worst police force in the entire world. Imagine that!!! I would rather negotiate with criminals than government-sanctioned criminals in uniform, it's like the family hadn't received that update. |
