Paretomaster:Stop listening to Yoruba propaganda you have listend to all your life. The Igbos had already gone and were enjoying there new found freedom when you Nigerians suddenly started shouting 'Lord Lugard made us all one Nigeria' and came down to East to start fighting and killed 3 million people. You Nigerians came to fight people who had already gone their way. Nna, you guys made Lord Lugard proud, you guys killed even more people him to maintain 'one Nigeria'. Since this 'one Nigeria' is capable killing millions, its far better us Igbos stay away from it because such a thing has no future |
Probz:You have to care because 'importing' English words like 'Delta' to describe an indigenous ethnic group anywhere in Africa is not right. Calling someone 'Delta Igbo' is like calling me from Anambra an 'Anambra Igbo'. Makes no sense. |
kropotkin2:Then you have to agree that Nigeria is an instrument of oppression which people like Ojukwu were right to fight. If Britain that created Nigerian can use Referendum twice in the last 3 years, one for Scotland to vote on independence and the other to vote on the EU, then who is Nigeria, a mere colonial creation to deny people referendum? |
Probz:Not really. Delta Igbo is the wrong way of saying Western Igbo 30 years ago, there was nothing called "Delta Igbo". |
bantudra:You see no sense in referendum? Your colonial masters Britain have used it twice in the last 3 years to resolve major disputes in a democratic way but it is a third world citizen like you who sees no sense in it. Britain used it to allow Scotoland to choose wether to go or stay in 2014 Britain used it again to allow the nation to stay or opt out of the EU last year. Get sense, referendum is even more important than general elections. |
Paretomaster:Thats what you guys said last time and 3 million lives were lost. |
Interesting. The British regarded all the western Igbos as 'Ika Igbo' its 3 major towns 'Ika Asaba', 'Ika Kwale', 'Ika Agbor' Funny that today, many now call the 'Delta Igbo' which is wrong. |
bantudra:Thats why the call is for a referendum where everybody can choose their destiny |
a0if:Nigeria has been heading no where since the British left in 1960. Nzeogwu saw this and tried to take action, Ojukwu saw it and chose to take his people and jump ship. Gowon, Mohammed, Buhari, IBB and Abacha were military dictators who used brute force to keep Nigeria together. However, Nigeria is on the downward decline and nothing can save it except........................ if it becomes a confederation. And even this is delaying the inevitable |
bantudra:Freedom to control ones destiny. Is it by force to be a Nigerian? That name is something Lugard brought with him to West Africa and imposed on us all. Because of that name, my fellow Igbos lost over 3 million people. If it is you, would you like to be part of an organisation that might kill over 3 million of your people tomorow? Of course not, only a crazy person will want that. So it is better for us to go our way, have bad name and use visa to travel than be part of something than can kill millions of us such as Nigeria. |
davereal:Let me put it this way. It is better that life is expensive in the East rather than no life at all. A Nigeria that cost Igbos over 3 million lives can never be better than the Biafra that gives Igbos their freedom. |
Smooth278:If you are hoping for fiscal or true federalism, you better forget it. People keep shouting restructuring but when you ask the same people how they will get restructuring when most of the North are against it, no one can say anything. |
nonsobaba:Soludo has put out a press release that he did not decamp to APC. He still remains a card carrying member of APGA. |
erico2k2:So as you can see, you dont care about the minorities, you dont care about what the Ogoja, Oron, Ananng, Itsekiri, Ibibio, Abi, Legbo and what the over 40 tribes in the south of Nigeria want. If you cared about what they want, you would want to hear them out, you eould want them to have a voice. It is a very rare thing for any of the minority tribes to have a say in Nigeria, so when someone like you claims to be from the minority but you cant even support a referendum that will give your ethnic group and other minorities a say, it means two things Its either your just another Yoruba guy in Ibadan claiming to be one of the minorities (there are many of them here) or that you are an enemy of your people and you dont wish them well. I listen to radio Biafra most nights, I know how much the minorities are calling in, lamenting about Nigeria. The other day, part of Radio Biafra was in Urohbo language. Many Urohbo people calling in and pledging support for Biafra in Urohbo language, lamenting that Nigeria has stolen all their oil and Gas money. I dont even understand Urohbo but listend to the English translation and learnt that blood means the same word in Urohbo and Igbo. Few days later, the broadcast was in Ibibio language which I dont understand. There were many many callers from Akwa -Cross who called in to suppport Biafra. Many of them proud that their son was the last president of Biafra. Some of them fought on the Biafran side said they had no regrets since Igbos were the closest tribe to them. Many Ikwrres now call in apologising like the prodigal son, some saying their parents decieved them. Ijaws call in and even Ogoni. Everybody is saying the same, that they are tired of Nigeria. But it is you who says Biafra is only for Igbos, it is you who cannot support a referendum for the minorities which you claim to belong to, it is you who doesnt care what other minority tribes want, you dont even care about their right to self determination. It is you shouting Rivers and Niger Delta but cant say anything about how these peoples life will be better inside Nigeria. Guy, get a life. This struggle for freedom has gone past small fries like you. |
erico2k2:So why are you not supporting a referendum which will prove you are right? |
Charlyboy only asked Igbos to reflect on Biafra, he never said anything about abandoning it. I think that Charleyboy should realise that nobody wants war. What we want is referendum. It is referendum that will force Nigerians to discuss Nigeria. The reasons why some people are messing up in some zones is their belief that Nigeria will always be one and the status quo will remain It is time to have a frank and honest discussion on Nigeria Is Nigeria a mistake of the British? Whis hasnt it worked? Is it condusive for all the ethnic groups? If yes, why did it consume 3 million Igbos? If no, why are we together. Why cant we have a sovereign conference in Nigeria? Why is anyone scared about Nigeria? Do Igbo/Yoruba/Hausa see each other as one? |
erico2k2:So, support a referendum let the matter be cleared up one and for all. This is the same thing IPOB wants. So what is the problem? |
freeay:Who and who is joininh APC? Besides Orji Uzo Kalu and Ken Nnamani, no one else cares about APC |
Nigeria has always been a messed up place even before Nnamdi Kanu was born. Wether Kanu stays in jail or not will not change Nigeria from being a messed up place. Igbo/ Yoruba/Hausa do not see themselves as brothers, they all have their mode of opration and different agendas If anyone is hoping that Nigeria will progress from such disunity, they will hoping for a long time. Nnamdi Kanu isnt the real issue, one man cannot threaten the unity of a country unless............................................... the country isnt actually united. 'One Nigeria' has already cost Igbos over 3 million souls, Nnamdi Kanu is yet to kill anyone. Kanu isnt the problem of Igbos or Nigeria Nigeria is the problem of Nigeria and the Igbos |
As a proud Igbo man, I urge Ndigbo to reject any offer of the useless office of President of Nigeria. We dont need this office, it is a greek gift. A Trojan horse that will not be to our benefit. Someone ask Yorubas what they gained from Obasunjos presidency? Nothing Someone ask Ijaws what they gained from GeJ's tenure? Nothing. Go to Daura and ask them what they have got out of Buharis near 2 years in office? Nothing So what will presidency do for Igbos? Nothing There are more important things than the presidency of Nigeria, Igbos should focus on them and shun that toxic office in Aso Rock. Iberibe bu oria! |
erico2k2:So are you speaking for Ijaw and Ogoni? What concerns you with them? If you really cared about Ikwerre or Urohbo or any minority in the south of Nigeria, you will support that they be given a voice to decide their destiny. You will support that there be referendum so everone can decide their fate. Dont know know that referendum is the best way for everyone in Rivers to reject Biafra forever with the power of their votes? But if you are saying that nobody should be given a voice, that nobody should be given an opportunity to decide their future through a referendum then what it means is that you are an enemy of your people. You dont really care about them. In my experience, people who are afraid of referendum are those who know what the result will be. If there was a referendum, more than 80% of Rivers will vote Biafra, that what scares you. |
These people dont even realise that Ojukwu even saved Adegboyes life by asking him to leave. Had Adegboye still been in the East when the watmr started, he might never have been heard of again. |
IHEJIRIKAisBOKO:If that worries then I wonder how you feel.about those who are actually killing people and burning churches? If you are so concerned about Nnamdi Kanus words, how concerned are you about those who that already taking action? |
Lagos/Ibadan expressway media have come up with another one |
Ioannes:Good. To tell you the truth, I cant wait for the day Yorubas abd the Northerners will end up as 'one Nigeria'. I thats the only time Yorubas will see the real 'one Nigeria' in its true form. |
erico2k2:Oh now I understand you............ so they are Nigerians because Lugard said so, they are Rivers because Gowon said so, it is Portharcourt because the Britush said so, it is Niger Delta, which is not even in the constitution, because Abacha said so. So when do the people get to choose who they are? You said they are not interested in Biafra? Did they elect you their spokes man? How do you know what the Igbos, Ijaw, Ogoni Ikwerre all want? If you think you know what they want then support a referendum like IPOB wants so that everybody can choose who they are rather than giving people useless names like Rivers, Niger Delta and Porthacourt. All these names came from Britain and are not African. The Governor of Rivers can issue any statement he likes but as long as he has no power to ban the constitutional provision of freedom of expression, freedom of movement and freedom consciense, he should shut up. You talked about Igbo? Learn not to talk outside your ethnic group. There are several ethnic groups in the south of Nigeria, they can speak for themselves. Dont attach to anyone in the name of a non existent 'Niger Delta'. What you should do is support a referendum let everyone decide what they want same as IPOB wants. But once you start saying you know what Urohbo, Ijaw, Ogoni, Oron, Ogoja etc all want, then it is you who is looking for trouble |
Im Igbo and I can tell who ever cares to listen that majority of Igbos dont care about the presidency of Nigeria. If that worthless office didnt help those who have held it before, it certainly wont help us Igbos. |
Instead of them to be thanking Ojukwu for allowing them to leave with their lives! Igbos living in other parts of Nigeria were not that lucky! |
Ioannes:You are ignorant. The countrty was broken long before Buhari came along. Dont forget that Igbos have been trying to get out of Nigeria since 1967 and fought a war to that effect, so dont make it as if this something that started with the election of Buhari. But lets assume that the whole agitation is about Buharis victory. So why would you want to be with Igbos if they want to go for whatever reason? You cant do without them? Or is it becuase Lugard came in 1914 to tell you that we are all Nigerians? Why will you want to be with people who dont want you? |
erico2k2:Sorry bro, Biafra is not an Igbo only thing like you may have been led to believe. The last president of Biafra, Geberal Philip Effiong, was not even an Igbo man. The word Biafra is atrached to the 'Bight of Biafra' which communties such Ijaw, Ogoni, Ibibio live along. Those people are even more Biafra than Igbos. The place you are calling Portharcourt city was only given this name by the British in 1912 in honor of the then colonial minister, Lord Vernon Harcourt. Before then, the original name of the place was called 'Igweocha'. Every Igbo man can tell you what this means. So cure your self of ignorance |
psucc:No, let us go and find different vehicles, being in one vehicle has become too stuffy (disintegration) |
erico2k2:So you dont know that Portharcourt used to be in the first Republic of Biafra? |
