It's a nice project. Kano is part of the North that contributes absolutely nothing to the Nigeria treasury. All they know is how to shout "Sai Buhari" and "one Nigeria" so that they can keep collecting their monthly allocation of the South-South oil money. Well it's good that the 'parasites' who's only contribution to Nigeria is Boko Haram are using some of the oil money for something beneficial to the common man.

What I believe is that is that if you wrong a person knowingly, that person can pray to their God (Christian,Muslim or traditional) to wrong you back and sometimes,it does happen. I don't believe that anyone can place a curse on another just by themselves or without due cause.

You just impressed me as a coward ready to live and die in fear.
It's got nothing to do with fear,it's got everything to do with the reality on the ground. It's either Jonathan continues or Nigeria stops. A Buhari election victory will be the end of Nigeria and we Igbos are backing the south-South in that regard.

Well, rather than dare a change; I can bet that in your typical complacent Nigerian nature, you'd rather endure these harsh living conditions till you age.

I wish you well.

My prayer for people like you is, may God run your life as slow as jonathan runs this nation.

Say amen.
Well if you think this is harsh living,if you really think that things are bad now under GEJ, then wait and see what happens if by some chance Buhari is elected. When the Niger-Delta militants return to the creeks, shut down oil production and wage guerilla style war on Nigeria from the south just like Boko Haram are doing from the north, that's when you will know that things are bad.
Politics › Re: Soyinka: GMB Most Brutal Dictator After Abacha by zendy: 9:11am On Feb 17, 2015
Jonathan might be accused of many things but I don't think anyone can call him a dictator. A lot of APC supporters want to replace GEJ but do not care what they want to replace him with. Only an insane or ignorant person will want Buhari as president if they really take time to read his history. Buharis antics are as bad as they come. His history right from counter-coup of July 1966 when he helped murder hundreds of Igbo officers to 1984 when he ran the most draconian military Government in Africa leaves much to be desired. That some desire,a murderer, coup plotter, human rights suppressor,Islamic bigot and illitrate as their 'saviour' is most astonishing. Anyway, like I said before on previous threads, doesn't matter if Buhari wins or loses,he will never be the president of a 'United Nigeria'
Culture › Re: Top 10 Most Spoken Nigerian Languages by zendy: 8:23am On Feb 17, 2015
As much as this thread is not about Biafra, the fact remains that Nigeria is only a United country on paper only. I believe in Biafra because it represents my right to decide for myself as an Igbo man if I want to be a Nigerian or not. A privilege that my fore-fathers never had before they succumbed to the superior Fire power of the British. Nigeria represents modern day slavery where the right to choose has been taking away by 'one Nigeria'. I have no doubt in my mind that if given a referendum,85 to 90% of Igbos will vote to leave Nigeria. A country is born out of the free will of the people, not by force.

It is criminal and the height of treason for a Military officer to overthrow a democratically elected Government,no matter how incompetent the Government is. By coming to power through the barrel of the gun,Buhari usurped the mandate of the people and destroyed the ethics of the military uniform he wore. Buharis entire claim to fame was his participation in 3 succesful military coups which made him Governor,Minister and then president. The election of Buhari is almost like bringing an armed robber out of kirikiri prisons and lodging him in Sheraton hotel. A persons criminal past must always be noted when delegating a position of authority to that person and criminality should never be honoured. If it was in advanced democracies like America,Britain,Germany and Canada, just the fact that Buhari has been involved in military coups would make no political party sponsore him. But we are in Nigeria where anything goes.........

Your problem is 'slave mentality'. Why do you want to be in the same country with people who don't want to be in the same country with you? If you believe and love Nigeria so much then, endeavour to see that it is those who share your sentiments that remain in Nigeria. The so called Nigeria that you are proud of is just a "Business Organisation" set up by the British. I'm an Igbo man and nothing connects me to a Yoruba or Hausa man,Sokoto and Ibadan are not my fatherland. I decide for myself if I want to be Nigerian or Biafran.

Under international law, anyone can own or run investments anywhere in the world. The fact that Igbos have investments in Abuja or Lagos does not mean in anyway that they will lose their investment because they now have their own separate country. Nigeria is a fraud created by the British 'rogue' called Lord Lugard and named by his 'girlfriend' Flora Shaw. Biafra must surely come to exist because it is the inalienable right of the Igbos to decide if they want to be Nigerians or not. You're right! On that day,29th July 1966,Murtala and some of his 'hatchet men' like Buhari went around Lagos killing any Soldier of eastern origin they could find. While this was going on,TY Danjuma was in Ibadan supervising the torture and execution of Ironsi and Fajuyi. Remarkably today, the same Buhari and Danjuma who committed cold blooded murder of their fellow citizens are still running their mouth and are hailed in Nigerian soceity. Despicable men who have no place at the national level are still relevant. That's Naija for you
Politics › Re: Gen Murtala Muhammed 39th Anniversary Of His Brutal Assassination by zendy: 2:29pm On Feb 13, 2015
It beats my imagination that a man like Murtala Ramat Mohammed still has,not just a place of honour on the 20 Naira note, but also has an International Airport and many other landmarks named after him. How is this possible? Or is it that no one cares about history any more? How can such a controversial character still be accorded such recognition?
The sins of Murtala:

1] Led the counter coup and superviced the killing of over 300 fellow officers. Murtala led other northern elements (including the then Lt Buhari) to commit this murderous act in retaliation for what they tagged an "Igbo coup". For me,a coup plotter, wether Nzeogwu or Murutala has any place in history. It should also be noted that everyone who participated in the first coup were punished at the end of the war while Murutala and co who committed far worse atrocities got off scot-free.

2]Troops under Murtala's command committed genocide in Asaba when they entered the city at the start of the civil war. Over 700 defenceless civilians who came to welcome the federal troops were gunned down in cold blood. Wether this happend on Murutala's orders or not is immaterial. His troops killed people and he should bear responsibility for the conduct of his men.

3]Murtala,in direct contravention of orders and sound advice led thousands of Nigerian soldiers to their deaths trying to cross the river Niger (in 3 separate attempts) into Onitsha all in his vain attempt to increase his popularity. His troops would later be destroyed at Abagana and he was recalled from the war and sent to London while many of his men lay dead under the River Niger.

4]murtala came to represent the face of northern domination. He kicked out Gowon, seized power, retired everyone who was above him in rank and in one of the worst acts of military indecipline,he triple promoted himself from a one star Brigadier to a full 4 star General. Murutala was the first military officer to conduct a coup in other to take political power. Even Nzeogwu and co had no intention to take power for themselves.

Murtala Mohammed was a failed soldier,a sociopath, mass murderer and accomplished coup plotter. Because of him, many people needlessly died. My question is this. What is the face of such a despicable man doing on the 20 Naira note?
Politics › Re: Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna Picture Thread by zendy: 2:11pm On Feb 13, 2015
Theoretically, the highest rank in the military is field marshal, but usually, only the president or whoever is commander in-Chief of a countries Armed forces can hold this rank. I saw some pictures recently of Jonathan in Army combat gear wearing this rank and it was with 5 stars. A four star General or full General is usually held who ever is chief of defence staff or 'chairman joint chiefs of staff' as it is called in America.

A lot of people might not know this but in 1964 when the NDA opened, amongst that first batch of 62 cadets where people like General Oladipo Diya,General Dogonyaro, Admiral Allison Madueke and commander Emeka Omerua. The past Chief of Army staff,Lt General Ihejirika graduated from the NDA in 1975. Cadets who pass out are commissioned as 2nd Lt's. The NDA used to be an all male institution but when GEJ became president,he changed it so that female cadets are now accepted. It's not easy being a cadet,I remember drill and parade in NYSC camp mentally destroyed many of us graduates and that was child's play compared to what these guys go through everyday at the NDA.

One of the reasons why you can see Igbos speaking Hausa and Yoruba but almost never you see vice-versa is because Igbo is the hardest to learn amongst the 3 main languages. Most Yorubas only know "kedu" in Igbo while most Hausas don't know any Igbo. I know Hausas who have been selling ciggertte and Suya in Enugu for years but don't know a single word in Igbo!

This diagram is exactly why the Yorubas and their northern collaborators want Jonathan out. So that they can keep playing "jangolover" with the office of the president of Nigeria even though their real intent is the enormous oil and gas wealth of the SE/SS people. How is it that anyone can explain the fact that the northern zone that contributes nothing to Nigeria are getting close to 50% of PTF projects? Someone is a parasite who contributes nothing and is saying "born to rule". The last economic index I read stated that the South-South contributes 70% percent to the national coffer, the South East 11%,the South-west and Lagos 19%. The entire North contributes a big fat zero yet someone is coming from the north to 'demand' leadership of something he puts nothing into with the tacit help of the Yorubas .(who are frightend of how they will survive without oil money and need the help to keep Nigeria one). This diagram elaborates the fraud knows as 'one Nigeria' and should GEJ not be elected,it's goodbye 'one Nigeria' forever.

You claimed Igbos travelled a lot I agree but they are more Yorubas in diaspora than Igbos, if we are to count that we will need two countries the size of Sudan to accommodate them.
Two countries in West Africa Togo and Benin have Yoruba as the largest ethnic group...just because we have few noisy Igbo men selling provisions, crayfish, spare parts and cloths around towns in Nigeria do not make them twice as much in population of their host town...in major towns in Nigeria including your Aba and Onitsha Yorubas control the taxi industry, wood industry and the engineering/building industry. It's a common scene in Port Harcourt to hear Yoruba spoken on the streets and in taxis.
Please don't make me laugh. It is actually a very rare thing to see a Yoruba person in Igboland (with the exception of civil servants who have no choice with their postings). However,it is a very common thing to see Igbos in Yorubaland, even inside where they do their 'Orisa'

In Nigeria I put Yoruba people anywhere between 18 million and 25 million, so the 19 mil figure is probably accurate. I think Yorubas only have two countries that they are based in natively, Nigeria and Rep of Benin.
Until a proper census is done where 'ethnic group' is inserted into the questions,it will be difficult to determin which of Hausa/Fulani,Yoruba and Igbo are the largest. For now, everyone assumes it is the Hausas that are the largest while the Yorubas and Igbos argue amongst themselves who is larger,no one can tell for sure. I like languages and I speak my native Igbo and English with a bit of French and German. The only person I have ever met in my life who could speak the 3 main languages of Hausa,Yoruba and Igbo fluently like a native was Ojukwu (born in the north to Igbo parents, grew up in Lagos as a young boy and worked as military officer in the north, west and east.

This might surprise you but in Igbo, 'I na kwa na' means 'have you ever gone back home?'

There's a place in Enugu called 'Ama Hausa' (Hausa residence) where northers live. Many Hausa kids born in this place and speak fluent Igbo have adopted the Igbo way of life and most of them have never been to the north. Unfortunately for the Hausas born in Igbo land, they are never really accepted in society (A Yoruba man born and bred in Igboland will be far more accepted than his Hausa counterpart). Since it's not in the nature of the Igbos to kill anyone resident in Igboland, the Hausas know they are safe. Most Hausas who are raised in Igbo land rarely go back north to settle and the few who have tried just couldn't cope with northern mentality and returned. It was kind of funny then to hear Igbo kids say to Hausa kids "Onye Hausa,ka mgbe ino n'ala Igbo, ina kwana?" (Hausa man,all this time you've been living in Igboland, have ever gone back home?)
