Igbos are not wise at all. THey just shot themselves in the foot by putting all their eggs in 1 basket by voting based on sentiments into just 1 party. THe result of this move will be colossal to them after February 14th. They haven't seen national marginalisation yet.
In this election, there are only 2 Baskets,Buhari and GEJ. Only these two men have any realistic chance of winning. The rest are just there to make up the numbers. There's only one Basket for the Igbos and that's Jonathan.

It amazes me to read this kind of rubbish from so called educated people. Ijaws are not contributing anything as you claim above, oil is God's given gift to the independent country Nigeria not to Ijaw nation.
Dont talk nonsense. The Ijaws and the people of the south-south have owned the Oil and Gas resources on their waters and lands long before that British drunkard called 'Lord Lugard' came from nowhere to beat-up,flog,shoot and force your ancestors into charade known as 'Nigeria'. Im not even from the south-south, Im an Anambra man but that doesnt stop from seeing injustice when it is happening. If Nigeria was a limited company, the South-South people would be largest shareholders because it is the proceeds from their lands that pays for Nigeria to even exist. Non of the the people shouting Sai Buhari! add any value or contribute anything to the south-south,rather,its the other way round. The contest between Buhari and GEJ is no longer about who occupies Aso Rock. It has now become about if Nigeria divides or not. The Yoruba/Hausa alliance and APC supporters had better start thinking about a separate country where they can elect their 'saviour' Buhari to be their president because it is not possible that Buhari can be president in a country that the SE/SS are part of. If Buhari is elected, the Niger delta militants will shut down the oil production of Nigeria which will bring military conflict and you all can bet that us Igbos will not sit around and watch the destruction of our brethren in the south-south. The election of Buhari is the end of Nigeria. We are at a cross road in 2015 and the son of the south-south has to remain president as a minimum requirement for the continued existence of Nigeria or else APC will have to show me the document where I as an Igbo man and the people of the south-south signed with Lugard to give up our 'sovereignty' to become Nigerians.

This should go down as the joke of the century. How old are you. grin grin
You may consider it a joke but when the Niger delta militants reduced the oil Production of Nigeria to near nothing, nobody needed to tell Yaradua to offer them an amnesty deal, and this was after he threw the Nigerian military might against them to no avail. Oil production doesnt go on in a situation of war. Buhari will not be able to fight the Niger-Delta militants without destrying the entire Gas and oil industry in the region. this is not like bombing Boko Haram from the sky, Bombing the niger-delta is like throwing matches on gasoline, everywhere will be on fire. Sending in troops that dont know the creeks is a waste of time. The election of Buhari is the end of Nigeria. How Buhari can actually fight Boko Haram and the Niger Delta militamts at the same time is a joke. And all this while oil money is no longer coming in. Reality is reality, No GEJ,no Oil and no Nigeria.
Politics › Re: Niger Delta Militants Threaten War Should Jonathan Lose Election by zendy: 10:20pm On Jan 24, 2015
I fully support the Niger -Delta militants in thier threat of taking their oil and Gas wealth back should GEJ not be re-elected. The Yoruba/Northern alliance who want GEJ out should bear in mind that the people of the SE/SS generally think of "Nigeria" as one big fraud that has been used to steal thier oil and Gas wealth since the end of the war. Boy Loaf was absolutely right when he said that there is no such thing as "one Nigeria". That notion only exists as long as oil is flowing. So,the Yoruba/Hausa alliance and APC supporters should bear in mind as they are shouting 'Sai Buhari!' that should Buhari be elected,it will mean the end of oil money and by default, the end of Nigeria. The people of the south-south are the greatest contributors to the Nigerian state and for just that alone,a son of theirs deserves the 8 years others have been getting, and anyone who does not like it had better like it if the south-south people decide not to share their oil wealth with anybody. GEJ till 2019 or bye bye oil money forever!!!

The biggest question is, why the hypocrisy about being one Nigeria?

If a citizen of Nigeria can not move around freely and domicile in any place of choice and leave In peace without prejudice then the doctrine of one Nigeria is fake.

Ur question points to that direction.
The doctrine of "one Nigeria" is as fake as it can get. It is this same falsehood that the Yoruba/ Hausa alliance used to wage war on the people of the SE/SS in the Nigerian civil war when all they were interested in was the economic and political exploitation of those people. A similar scenario is now playing it self once again in the GEJ/BUHARI battle. When PDP was producing disgraceful leaders like Obasunjo and Yaradua, nobody heard anyone saying " Sai Buhari!" Because it was a Yoruba/Hausa thing. But as soon the same PDP produced GEJ,they now felt bad losing power to the far south for the first time since the end of the war. To this day, I can't feel safe to wear my Igbo "Isi-Agu" attire anywhere in the north without risking my life or turning myself into 'target practice' but Hausa/Fulani men in my village in Anambra prance around everywhere in their "Danshiki and Babariga" freely. Only a complete ignorant fool believes there is any such thing as "one Nigeria".
Politics › Re: Is Chekwas Okorie's Candidacy A Threat To Jonathan's Votes From Igbos? by zendy: 1:27pm On Jan 23, 2015
Chekwas is only running for the sake of an Igbo man running,he knows he has no chance of winning. The race is between Jonathan and Buhari. The best alternative for the Igbos is GEJ and the Igbos will vote massively for him. I will be quite amazed if Jonathan doesn't get at least 90% of the Igbo vote (it would have been more if that traitor of a Governor called Okorocha wasn't in Imo state),leaving Buhari and the rest to share the remaining 10%. Voting for an Igbo man the way things stand now will only divide Igbo votes and help Buhari win which is not in the best interest of the Igbos because no matter how bad people think GEJ is,there is no evidence to show that Buhari is any better,if anything, there is evidence to show that Buhari will be much worse. GEJ will win in a massive landslide in the south-East .
Politics › Re: Why Buhari Has No Certificate - Col Ben Gbulie (rtd) by zendy: 12:52pm On Jan 23, 2015
Ben Gbulie's account of what transpired then is a classic case of how the northerners have been using deciet to get what is not due to them since independence. Barely literate northerners were sent on short courses abroad and returned to be commissioned into the Army,Navy,Police and Airforce in the norths deperate bid to consolidate its hold on Nigeria against the perceived stranglehold of the Igbos and Yorubas on the economy. A beneficiary of this northern deciet is Buhari. One stark difference between Jonathan and Buhari is that Jonathan came to public limelight through a democratic process having become a deputy Governor,Governor,Vice president then President. Buhari on the other hand began his journey to power by participating in several coups. Buhari participated in the counter coup that killed over 300 eastern officers which saw him rapidly promoted. The Murtala coup saw Buhari being made a Governor. Dimkas coup resulted in Buhari being made a Minister. Buharis own coup made him head of state. So many bullets fired,so many lives lost to get Buhari to where he is in life today. And yet, this is the messiah that APC supporters crave for. A man who's entire life was cooked in deciet is the man who will rescue Nigeria? Nigeria I dey hail!!!"

There is no such thing as "one Nigeria". If you don't believe me then ask the 100,000 easterners that have lost their lives in the north since 1945 to this present day. "One Nigeria" is an utopian slang term used by people who have not suffered some sort injustice for stepping outside their ethnic land. Nigeria has never been one and never will be. I laugh when people tell me as an Igbo man that Sokoto,Keffi,Bauchi etc are my fatherland. Father what? My fathers land is somewhere in Anambra!!! Nigeria is a 55 year old joke and the sooner we split up into our constituent parts and go our different way,the better for us all. One Nigeria my foot!!

My Igbo brethren,if you are resident in the north then get out of that place before the elections and don't return for at least 1 month after the February election! Life is the most important thing and the violence of northerners against Igbos is a well documented thing. If Buhari loses this election, any Igbo in the north is a "sitting Duck" and this clueless northern Governor will fly his family out in his private jet if mayhem starts not giving a hoot about the Igbos he asked to stay back.People may decieve themselves with "one Nigeria!" But the truth is that in times of Northern uprisings, you are either Igbo,Yoruba or Hausa and where you come from will largely determine if a cutlass meets your neck. His certificate was released and that's the end of it. The electorate has the right to demand the credentials of those who aspire to lead them. Buhari treated his certificate as something not to be questioned. That's not how it works. His certificate has now been released and at least we know he was qualified to even join the Army in the first place
Politics › The Sins Of General Buhari by zendy(op): 2:03pm On Jan 20, 2015
With less than 3 weeks to the presidential elections, it has become ever more important to scrutinise the frontline runners. The antecedents of a man is a yardstick to measure what kind of leader he will be if elected to a position of power and Buhari is no exception. I'm going to list some of the evils Buhari from history and we can all judge for our selves if this man is any better than the GEJ he wishes to replace or maybe worse?

1) counter-coup 1966-:: Buhari was commissioned in 1963 and posted to Lagos a military transport officer. He was there when the first coup happend. He then participated in the counter coup 6 months later led by Murtala Mohammed and other northern officers that led to gruesome killing of over 300 Eastern officers. The actions of these 'northern bandits' led by Murtala precipitated the pogroms that led to the massacre of over 30,000 easterners all over Nigeria and when Ojukwu became tired of watching his people being killed,he asked them to return home and declared Biafra. To this day,Buhari has never talked about what he did on that day although everyone knows that him,Abacha,Babangida and Bako were fully involved. An officer who is involved in a coup plot, wether it be Nzeogwu or Buhari is a disgrace to the uniform he wears.

2) The civil war--: Depending on what side of the divide you are,Buhari and the men he led during the civil war are either war criminals or compatriots

3)Buhari is a beneficiary of military malpractice and fraud---- Buhari has held several important positions in Nigeria not because he merited it,but because of military incursion into politics and the fact that he is a northerner. Buhari has been, a military Governor,a Minister and head of state. A military coup took place each time before he assumed these important positions. In other words,Buharis claim to fame has been facilitated by military gangsterism.

4)Coupist- Buhari, an accomplished coup plotter, became head of state by overthrowing a legitimate democratically elected Government of Shehu Shagari. It is one thing to overthrow an illegal military government but another to remove a government freely chosen by the people. The same Buhari who brought down democracy is now parading him self as a 'Democrat'.

5)Administration-:: Buharis military regime was one of the worst on the African continent. Civil liberties were suspended, draconian decrees were promulgated, military brutality became the order of the day. Buhari ran Nigeria with an iron fist while the economy was collapsing. The opposition was hounded out of the country and persieved opponents and politicians were thrown into jail. The crimes of the Buhari administration are too numerous for me to mention here.

I'm not about to say the Jonathan's Government is a "model to behold" but the question is, can a man like Buhari with such bad antecedents really be worthy of the votes of Nigerians?

Anyone asking for buharis certificate is an iliterate. The right thing to do is to go to court. Pdp is not inec and as such has no right to demand for his certificate. He has presented what he has . Anyone not satisfied should approach the court or contact the school buhari attended. This is how civilised people do things.
That is not good enough. Buhari is essentialy asking the Nigerian electorate for a 'job'. So if I go to look for work and they tell me to bring my qualifications, I should tell my potential employers to go to court to get it? I believe that there is something not right about Buharis qualification otherwise his campaign team would have published it by now. I think that it's either Buhari has no qualification or that the result of the certificate is so bad that if they publish it, it will make Buhari a laughing stock.

I don't like Fayose but the man is actually saying the reality on the ground. Should GEJ lose this election, the South-south will see it as a Yoruba/northern gang-up to politically and economically subjugate them. Already, Niger Delta militant leaders like Dokubo have promised to shut down all oil and Gas facilities in the Niger Delta should GEJ lose. When this happens and Buhari is sworn in,being a former military man,Buhari will use the military might of Nigeria to try and quash the rebellion which will probably lead to the secession of not only the south-South,but the South East as well. Personally,I think that the chances of Nigeria not disintegrating in 2015 are slim regardless of who wins between Buhari and GEJ.

In the days of the Great Oyo Empire of the Yorubas, the titans to the West, the Crown Jewel, even if a commander lost a handful of warriors in a mission, he was as good as dead. Never mind that the Yoruba Generals must never come home after losing a war: he just had to win or die trying! All these, while leading from the front and actually fighting all the way till he wins with his army or dies and the next in command takes over and must complete the mission. On the other hand, a mere lieutenant colonel Ojukwu sequesters himself in a small bunker and was hiding from Enugu to Anambra, never leading an offensive for even 10 minutes and he is the ibo king?

Well, the story today justifies why you folks are where you are. Jonapafuka will appoint Adolf Hitler and Stalin if if will help him come close to winning and he doesn't care about any silly opinion about Fani Kayode and of all reasons, that he banged Bainca the ambassador to Spain doesn't mean shaite: she can blame herself. Now, how much singing will Fani do for N 500 M+ corruption he is trying to escape from, courtesy of the EFCC Jona is killing to ensure Fani and corrupt Nigerians escape? Stealing is not corruption as per the dumbass president!
You are an incredibly stupiid person for making a statement like that about the late Dim Ojukwu. Do you know why Ojukwu is revered amongst the Igbos? It is because he fought and led an armed struggle despite all odds for the liberation of his people. He had the heart to fight for his people when others like Awolowo were prepared to lead his people into "Northern slavery". Yes Ojukwu lost the war and yes millions died but the Igbo's hold Dim in the highest regard because freedom is one of the few things in life worth dying for and Igbo's are not cowards to run away from a fight because of the fear of defeat. As for your ignorant post that Ojukwu did not lead a war front, where in the history of modern warfare have you heard about a head of state personally leading a battle front? To this day,Ojukwu and to a smaller extent,Isaac Borro are the only people in Nigeria who have ever fought to liberate their people from oppression of the powers that be. All others fought for their pockets.

I see a lot of sentiments in your take on this issue. It doesn't take a historian to know that if Jonathan loses next year, the south south may fall back into Anachy, not necessarily because the government of Gej was better but because of the ethnic conspiracy theory by Northern elite against a south south president which is been sold by the leaders of the south south to their Masses. Remember what caused to the civil war? it was a situation like this. This is Nigeria my brother.
The presidential elections is no longer about if Jonathan has performed or not, or about what Buhari will do or not do if he wins. The Presidential elections has now become a battle of the South and East of Nigeria against the west and North of Nigeria for political control. As an Igbo man, nobody expects me to support a Hausa/Fulani man over my South-south neigbour particularly when that Hausa/Fulani man is an accomplished coup plotter, tested tyrant and proven religious bigot. I have no doubt in my mind that if Jonathan had been a Yoruba man, there would have been no APC (we all remember how the Yorubas rallied around Obasunjo for him to win a second term even though his first term was a monumental disaster). If Jonathan had been a Hausa man, the North would have crucified Buhari for mounting any challenge against Jonathan. But because Jonathan is a south-South man,the Yorubas and their Northern allies have found a common cause to vilify his administration and have united to conscript power back for themselves. In other words,as long as a Yoruba man or northerner is in charge, all is well. But should an Igbo man or South-south man be in charge, that's when they remember "Sai this" and "Sai that". Who is fooling who here? I and my fellow Igbos are going to vote massively for Jonathan as will the south-South. With portions of the middle belt,PDP strongholds in the north and west will just be enough for Jonathan to clear up this election and be sworn in a second term. Jonathan till 2019!!!!

Asari Dokubo has said it many times that the minimum requirement for the continuation of oil flow out of the Niger-Delta is the re-election of Jonathan. I have no doubt in my mind that if Buhari wins, the militants of the Niger-Delta will return to the creeks and stop all oil activities which will invariably lead to the economic strangulation of Nigeria. The oil and gas wealth of South-south people constitutes over 70% of Nigerias GDP,without them, there is no Nigeria. Contrary to some opinions, the oil and gas wealth does not belong to Nigeria,it belongs to the people of the Niger-Delta. The rest of Nigeria has used the notion of 'one Nigeria' to steal their oil wealth since the end of the war. Should Buhari win this election, it is bye bye oil money and I fully support the Niger Delta people taking back what is theirs. It is an injustice that these people are paying 'to run Nigeria' while the rest are dictating who will rule them. These people don't need Nigeria for anything. So should Buhari and his zone who don't contribute anything to Nigeria win, they will shut down all oil activity.
