Learn it now:

There is Northern Nigeria (like North Korea)

And. Southern Nigeria (like South Korea)

That's the 2 Nigerias

They are different and operate differently:
One is progressive, open and pro-freedom of expression,
The other is conservative, controlled and repressive

One is more pro-west, the other is more pro-arab
So what was that drunkard called Lord Lugard thinking when he decided to bring us together in 1914? Since then,we have done nothing but kill each other.

I expect the president to say that this is a contest between brothers and sisters, that's his job. The 2015 elections is make or break for Nigeria. It's either Jonathan wins and Nigeria 'limps' on 'as one' or Buhari wins and the Igbos and South-South seceed from Nigeria. It's that simple. Buhari is welcome to be president of the Arewa/Oodua nation.

THIS statement is fallacious. Urhobos are in NO WAY related to Igbos in anything. The Ijaws are even more distant. Please correct that impression. In DELTA state, there are no 'true' Igbos. What we have is Anioma and they share common cultural ties with the South Eastern Across the Niger Igbos just as Urhobos do with Edos.
What do you mean there are no 'true Igbos' in Delta state? Are you trying to say that an Asaba man isn't a true Igbo man?

Sometimes I read news about Ibos and just shake my head in disbelief, that this ethnic group is called a majority along with true giants like Yoruba and Hausa is dumbfounding!

Why was Ibo designated as a majority in Nigeria? These comedians have zero understanding about citizenship and rights...always twisting things on its head!
Bloody git! You shake your head? You shake your bloody head? You are shaking your head because you and I are in this 'British invented prison yard' called Nigeria. So we Igbo's are now in a battle of supremacy between Hausas,Yorubas and Igbo's? All because some British profiteer called Lugard came fro no where to bring people who have nothing in common together. Listen,we Igbo's don't want or really need you Yoruba/Hausa 'Giants'. You guys are more trouble than you're worth. So next time you want compare ethnic groups, limit it to those who give a Rats-a$$.

This might be possible. $1000 Dollars a month plus free accommodation/food and relocating abroad just to do whatever a little boy wants? Now I think of it,there are many Nigerians that would actually jump at the offer. It's a lot better than starving to death in Nigeria if you ask me.

I hear Buhari say:
"I will end corruption"
"I will end Boko Haram"
"I will boost the economy"
"I will this" "I will that"

Has anyone ever heard Buhari actually say how he will achieve these things? Or is he another politician talking for the sake of talking? Why is Buhari such a polarising figure?

There an old proverb that goes "before you tear down a wall, first find out why that wall was erected in the first place". There is no point replacing Jonathan with someone who might be worse. There is absolutely nothing about Buhari that shows he will better than Jonathan, not one thing. APC calls it self a progressive party but elected someone with a shameful past like Buhari who has shown on countless occasions that he is anything but progressive. An accomplished coup plotter, killer, human rights abuser and religious bigot is the best Nigeria has to offer? In most developed democracies, just the fact that Buhari overthrew a democratically elected Government is enough reason for him to hide his face in political obscurity. A lot of Buhari supporters may not know this but the election of Buhari is also the selection of secession of the SE/SS from Nigeria. Should Buhari be elected,Boko Haram will be the least of Nigerias problems because the separatist groups of South East and the Niger-Delta militants will unite to wage a war of separation from the Nigerian state. Buhari can campaign all he likes but he won't be president of Nigeria, not a united one any way.

It is sad to see many anti-progressives call Buhari names because of his tribal accent. Igbo's , Yoruba and Hausa's all have various ways of speaking and pronunciation due to our mother tongue. When i watched father Mbaka's video, his accent was obvious when he pronounced OIL as OYEL but does that makes him an illiterate? General Buhari reads, writes and gives speeches in English, but the hatred by some Nigerians will never let them see that fact

The most supporters of this present administration are the Igbo's. They see this as an opportunity for them to avenge what was done to them during the civil war. They never blamed Ojukwu who started a suicide mission and ran to ivory coast leaving them to their fate. This is why they will never see anything good in Buhari even if GEJ does nothing, they are contented.

Had APC presented Fashola, Atiku or Kwankwaso , they will still find reasons to vote for GEJ and label Apc candidates bad. This hate is not about buhari, it's the way they feel they can get revenge for refusing to allow them form their Biafran territory. They call Yoruba's slave to the North and all sort of names. They are a petty tribe. Its unfortunate the disunity of this country originates from their region.

In 2011, we all saw GEJ as a messiah and we voted him en-masse irrespective of his tribe and religion. We thought he would deliver us from years of misrule due to his humble look and name GOODLUCK. Nigerians did not vote PDP but GEJ. Then Yoruba's were not tagged slaves for trooping out to vote for him en-masse.

They said APC and Buhari promised to make Nigeria ungovernable. My question is why can't these people be arrested if the statements tagged to them were truehuh GEJ is the commander in chief of all forces in Nigeria and it baffles me how a civilian in Buhari can make his government ungovernable while he sits and watch without taking actions. Isn't that a high level of incompetence?

Good luck Jonathan is the worst president we ever had in this country. The misfortunes of his administrations exceeds the so called transformations. I urge everyone to vote wisely

Sai Buhari cool cool cool
Besides the fact that GEJ may not have lived up to the expectations of some people, every other thing you wrote in the above is nonsense and embellishes the truth. Granted that all tribes have their 'accents',I have watched Buharis campaign speeches and his use of English is just a bit below average. An unscripted speech by Buhari would make anyone go to sleep. He has no eloquence so it's understandable if people question his intelligence. You said Ojukwu started a suicide mission? Ojukwu watched as over 30,000 easterners were massacred across Nigeria,if it were you, would you fold your arms and do nothing in the name of one Nigeria? What Ojukwu fought was for the right of his people to self determination, sovereignty and freedom which most democracies and even the United nation now recognise as a legitimate right of a people.Even Britain and Russia that supported Gowon to keep Nigeria one recently allowed some of their constituent parts (Scotland and Crimea) to vote for their sovereignty. I don't know if you were expecting Ojukwu to stay back and be slaughtered when all was already lost. What good would that have done? You talk about Igbo support for Jonathan. What did you expect when APC has shown that it is no better than PDP it wants to change. What record has Buhari to show that he will be any better than GEJ? Buhari, one of the ring leaders of the 1966 counter-coup that killed over 300 officers based on their ethnicity? Buhari the accomplished coup plotter who became Governor,Minister and president through 3 different coups? Buhari who got to where he is in life by bullets and blood? The same Buhari who ran one of the worst dictatorial regimes in the history of Africa? What has this man got to offer?GEJ,is the first none Yoruba/Northerner to be president of Nigeria in 50 years due to the concerted efforts of the Yoruba people and their northern comrades to perpetuate their hegemony over Nigeria and that is what APC represents, the eternal rule of Nigeria by either a northerner or a Yoruba man and we Igbo's will not let that rubbish continue. Note this,Buhari will never be the president of Nigeria, not even if he by some miracle wins the elections. Should Buhari be declared winner, the people of the SS/SE will assume their God given inalienable right to self determination and pull out of Nigeria. While you shout your "Sai Buhari" you better start shouting it for the Odua/Arewa Republic because that's the only place Buhari will be president.

OP,you did well by highlighting the flaws of Buhari so his supporters can at least know what they are supporting. Electing Buhari over Jonathan is like chasing away a cat to bring in a Tiger, things will only get worse. If APC was indeed a party of change,it would never have adopted such a polarising figure such as Buhari to be its political leader. However, the Buhari presidential project has always been what APC was all about right from inception.

The sins of Buhari::::::
1]Buhari became a 'rising star' of Northern military politics and by default,Hausa-Fulani hegemony when he and other northern officers staged the bloody counter coup of 1966 where they butchered over 300 officers of Eastern origin. Buhari and his fellow northern criminals in uniform went around Lagos rounding up Igbo officers and murderibg them in cold blood.

2] Every position Buhari has held in Nigeria has come from the barrel of the Gun. Murtalas coup made Buhari a Governor,Dimkas coup made Buhari a minister,Buharis own coup made him head of state and Abachas coup made him PTF Chairman. Everything Buhari is today was made possible by bullets and Guns.

3]Buhari has become the face of Hausa/Fulani born to rule ideology which Nigeria has outgrown. Most of his supporters are not supporting because they believe he has anything to offer, they support him because of the same reason Shekau is fighting the Government, the idea of anyone from the old earstern Region comprising the SS/SE being in charge is unappealing.

4] Buhari represents an old order. We should moving forward not stepping back into the middle ages. In any sane society, someone like Buhari would be insulting the electorate by presenting himself for higher office. But it's Nigeria.............
Politics › Re: Why Is Buhari Rising In Popularity?---Punch Newspaper by zendy: 10:08am On Feb 04, 2015
The good thing about APC and Buhari is that they have successfully built up a main opposition party to counter the stranglehold PDP had over Nigeria. This is a good thing in the long term. The bad thing about APC is that they are no different to PDP,they are probably worse because APC has come to represent the Nothern/Yoruba alliance to to perpetually control the political life of Nigeria. APC is not driven mainly by the zeal to change the incompetent government of Jonthan because they mean well, they are driven by the fact that a none Westerner/Northerner is now in power for the first time in 50 years. That's why as an Igbo man,Jonthan must be returned! GEJ till Buhari becomes a Christian!

SE/SS wont have too much effect in this elections like in 2011. Do you know that the sum total of SS and SE PVC collection is not even up to the total PVC collection in NW alone . Even if buhari losses all the states in these regions, he can still win the elections. Unlike in 2011, when buhari got less than 3% in SS and SE , This year I do believe APC will likely get about 20% in rivers, Edo and Imo because most of the federal house of rep candidates in these APC states will want their supporters to vote for APC presidential candidates.
Don't forget the electoral law (unless it has changed) that states that an aspirant has to win in at least in two thirds of all states. Buhari will definitely not carry any state in the SS/SE so where will he get the 2 1/3 he needs to win? I don't think that people realise that Buhari can get the largest amount of votes but still lose to Jonathan. At the end of the day,if Buhari wins,it makes little difference because he will never be accepted by the people of the SE/SS. Buharis election will be the end of Nigeria.

I completely agree. The SS/SE is completely out of the reach of Buhari and will vote massively for Jonathan. Should the Igbos come out enmass to vote in Lagos,GEJ just might take Lagos although I admit it won't be easy against APC. Should Fayose and Mimiko deliver their states to PDP and PDP states in the north hold their own, I don't see why GEJ shouldn't carry the day. A lot of 'shoulds' but that's how a closely fought contest like this will be won

I find it funny that APC supporters are coming up with different reasons why Buhari shouldn't come live to showcase his illiteracy and bad English. The very same reason why APC chose Buhari as presidential candidate is the very same reason why he is unelectable. Buharis dark past would have ruled him out of contesting for the presidency if Nigeria was actually a progressive nation. How is it that people want to elect an accomplished coup plotter, renouned autocrat and religious bigot as their president? Oh I know the answer! He is not Igbo or from the south-South lol!

The tragedy called Nigeria. There is nothing to rejoice about in next months elections. Regardless of who wins, a lot of people are going to die and there is no way out of the situation. Buhari wins, the Niger Delta militants will pick up their guns and shut down all oil installations which will force Buhari to call in the military and war will ensue. If Jonathan wins, the North will bare its fangs with reckless killings and Boko Haram will step up insurgency. Either way,it's a complete tragedy. I laugh at people who think Nigeria is one big United country, nothing could be farther from the truth. I don't see how Nigeria will survive 2015 except a miracle happens

Stop looking at Abuja.

War does no one any good.
Why do you think people fight wars? For the fun of it?When you look at every war,you see the oppressed on one end and the oppressor on the other. The people of the SE/SS see themselves as oppressed people who have long agitated and even fought a war for their right to self determination. Why should an Igbo man or a south-South man be arguing with a Yoruba man or an Hausa man about who should be president? Because we are 'one Nigeria'? It is ok to take the oil money of the Niger Delta people but not ok to have one them as president? This has nothing to do with which Governor performed and which one didn't,this is much bigger than that. War can bring freedom. It will either be Jonathan or the war for freedom

If GEJ doesn't get elected,Buhari will have to become president of the Arewa/Odua nation. For almost 50 years of Nigerias 55,they have been passing around the barton of power amongst themselves to the detriment of everybody else and this cannot continue. Things have changed. The world now recognises the right of self determination as a legitimate right of a people. Even our colonial masters,Britain, allowed one its constituent parts,Scotland,to decide if it wanted to pull out of the UK or not last year. It is the right of the people of the SE/SS to leave Nigeria if they so wish (either as one nation or two individual nations). The election of Buhari is the end of Nigeria. Danjuma is the man who tortured and executed a sitting head of state,General Ironsi. He is also the man who became a multi-Billionaire from the oil wealth of the Niger Delta people whom he is now calls for their arrest to protect the oil wells he was corruptly allocated. Muhammadu Buhari on the other hand was amongst a band of Northern officers who rounded up and murdered hundreds of eastern Nigerian officers on the same day that Danjuma killed Ironsi. I'll keep saying it here on NL that next months Presidential election is no longer about who occupies Aso Rock. It has gone past that, it is now about if Nigeria stays one. Buhari will never be the president of Nigeria, not a United one anyway because the Igbos and the people of the South-South will never accept him. Should Buhari be elected, it be the perfect scenario for the separatist groups from the south east and the South-South to unite for war. This is no joking matter any more. The election of Buhari is the end of Nigeria because it will lead to the pulling out of the SS/SE from Nigeria. The Hausa/Fulani oligarchy and their Yoruba conspirators cannot keep playing the rest of us as fools. The only reason why Nigeria still stands is because the separatist Igbo groups have not yet chosen to take up arms like the Niger-Delta Militants. 2015 is make or break for Nigeria. No GEJ! In June 1966, Major Danjuma (as he was then) took troops and sorrounded the Government house Ibadan where the head of state,General Ironsi, was staying as a guest of Lt Colonel Fajuyi (Military Governor of western Nigeria). Danjuma arrested both men and drove them to a Forrest outside Ibadan where he superviced their torture and execution. As this was happening, Lt Muhammadu Buhari along with other Northern officers like Major Murtala Mohamned,Captain Adamu,Captain Garba and co were running around Lagos rounding up all the Soldiers of Eastern origin they could find and executing them. To this day, none of these men (living or dead) has ever answered for committing cold blooded murder. It tells a lot about the Nigerian society that Murtala,Danjuma and Buhari who all committed murder on that day are not only celebrated today but are seen as icons worth emulating. Murtala has an Airport named after him,Danjuma is a Billionaire from the oil of the Delta-people whose leaders he is calling for their arrest and Buhari is vying to become the president. Three killers that are held in high esteem by gaulible Nigerians who choose to be gaulible.

Dokubo's wife has said the fact. If GEJ is not good enough to rule Nigeria, then the oil money of the South-South is not good enough to be shared amongst Nigerians. It's that simple. The minimum requirement for a drop of oil leaving the south-South after the election is the re-election of GEJ! If you don't like it,then ask that illiterate cow rearing General to tell his Hausa/Fulani people to rear more cows to pay for Nigerias budget. No GEJ! No Oil!

This same deceitful Danjuma became what he is in life because of the military gangsterism of the North. He became a billionaire by taking the oil of the South-South people and now he is talking about arresting the very leaders of the people who's oil he feeding fat on. Reason is simple: The Momentum is with the
APC this time
What momentum? Let me give you the reality on the ground. GEJ will win over 90% percent of the votes in all of the states in the south-East and South-south. GEJ will also win at least 3 states in the south-west (Lagos,Ekiti and Ondo). It will be trench warfare in the north as Buhari could take as much as 65-70% of the northern vote leaving GEJ with 30 to 35% of the vote. This will leave GEJ as overall winner. How APC expects Buhari to win this election without carrying any state in the south-South or South East makes me laugh
