Bro, I do criticize, I do say my piece of mind whenever injustice is been done. You happen to know about this because some big wigs are involved. When I see someone being accused, my first instinct is that he maybe innocent. I try my best to exploit all possible option that the person maybe innocent.

So bro, I asked. Is there any possibility that what the DSS are accusing those or one of those judges are lies, is there any?? Is there any possibility that they/one of them maybe innocent?? Is there any possibility that the DSS are carrying out personally vendetta??
It is very possible. But it is also very possible that they are guilty of what they are accused.

So, lets wait and see how things go and let us quit the talk about how dare they were arrested.

You see there is one thing most people don't get. Nobody is supporting corruption. Corruption is the reason why Africans especially Nigerians are suffering. corruption is deep rooted in our society, we are all corrupt. Yes, we all.
To many Nigerians, we think that corruption is only when a politician embezzled public funds. No, favourisim, nepotism, tribalism etc are all part of corruption which we all tends to exhibit in our streets, community, in school, even in church. So, as we are shouting corruption, we should also have a close look in the mirror.

Most of us are faulting buhari/DSS on this not that those judges are our uncles, father nor any relative of our's. We are faulting them because the are bringing in something greater than corruption, something that can halt a nation progress for a very long time. Something than can divide a nation. Buhari is trying to over power rule of law, he is trying to kill democracy. He is trying to take us back to stone age.

Believe me when I tell you that all politicians in nigeria are corrupt (I don't have any evidence to back it up, it is just a personal option). If I see any of them being accused or locked up for corruption, am not amaze. All WE ARE REQUESTING IS FOR DUE PROCESS TO BE FOLLOWED. If we don't totally and uniformly come against this. Tomorrow, you might be arrested for tweeting against buhari. If a judge is corrupt, there's I due process to go about that. If we boycott it today, tomorrow we might also boycott presidential election because some few thinks that Mr "A" is the right person for president.

Those commeding the DSS should always remember this poem.
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak for me.

Buhari have shown that he belongs to somebody, I don't care if he jail all PDP members, associate. But let him follow due process for fucking sake.

He have been fighting corruption for almost 2 yrs now, not a single soul have been convicted by a competent court. I was even thinking that Dasuki is nailed on with how their media propaganda was going about it. But, only to my greatest surprise that he is still yet innocent. Even ECOWAS court granted him an unconditional release and fined FG.

Buhari trying to fight his so called corruption by overlooking the rule of law is like trying to discipline a child by killing the child.
How about since they have been robbing the common man who voted them in our so called democracy and you did not speak.

Democracy did not always happen the way it is currently in the US.

If you look into their history, many WARS have been fought, MANY LIVES have been lost in the fight to establish their democracy.

Should we only compare ourselves to US and the UK when it conveniently fits the agenda to keep things status quo?

Is this still the nigeria that great activities of the 90's and 80's fought to restore democracy and rule of law?

What's has happened to Nigeria and some of her citizens?

Can't believe that the citizens of this great nation are the ones calling for absolute dictatorship., and screaming to hell with the rule of law..
This is not the nigeria I know..
Are they jinxed?

Imagine comparing our institutions with that of a first world country..where institutions ve been built with laid down rules for decades of years.
To compare with ours, that our institution are directly under presidency in power.

From efcc dss, nsa, all are directly under the president. Can we say that of developed nations that we're comparing ourselves with?

Nigeria is finished.

Some time last month..the presidency requested for emergency power tocarry out its imaginary duties, public opinion rejected it,our national assembly rejected it,the president denied it..cos we all know that such power will lead to dictatorship.

Fast forward..

They presidency has forcefully empowered itself...with the emergency power the country rejected...under guise of fighting corruption.

Now every dictator always have an excuse..for being a tyrant...which sway sentiments for them.
Buhari has chosen corruption...and the best option that he believe will instill fear..on the masses..is the rule of law..

sold corruption to his country..invade the judiciary with an unproven allegations. Slander them in public court and let his fans do the. Rest..

The rule of law has just been buried..the judicially caged..and the fans celebrates..he has gotten the power..a tyrant is gradually being given a legit power.

Now this judges..we all may agree they're corrupt..tho no prima facie evidence..all allegations.
Why not follow the process and procedures laid down by the laws..is it too hard?
Why the rush?why the criminality in the action?
No matter au corrupt a judge is..he still represents the law..and can't abscond..why not invite them..through public notices at least..why barbarism ?
And some ovasabi nigerians are hailing this..and even calling out the NBA and. NJC out..haa..this country's finished..

I weep for my country...i know many of these shouting and deriding the rule of law..bet me..have not witness tyranny ..so could hardly understand why well meaning nigerians are against this..

But maybe..there's is a purpose for all..buhari was not and never a presidential option..but they que..reformed and repackaged him.and today we're in recession and dollar is sliding more..

Maybe we allow him to be a dictator..so we will continue with our punishment..yes absolute power.

Maybe tomorrow when there is no nairaland or bellanaija..or media been censored,we will understand, cos they people must be thought au to respect the president and also loyal to the country..
There is and will always be reasons for a dictator.

Welcome all of us to the new nigeria...where democracy is under. Siege for corruption tobe fought.
What democracy are you talking about?

The one where leaders have enriched themselves illegally.

Their overblown salary packages continue, while the common man dey suffer in recession?

The fight hasn't really happened.

It will happen when the youth in Nigeria storm the homes of our corrupt leaders and start to collect their share.

Lying under oath, falsification of documents does not constitute a misdemeanor, especially when those acts are carried out to get elected into the Office of the President. It is a felony.

In the spirit of equity and justice. Buhari should take himself to court for falsification of documents and lying under oath. He had a case in court which was thrown out after multiple high level incidences of intimidation.

It is ironic for a corrupt individual to claim to be fighting corruption. Can a corrupt individual empower the law enforcement and Judiciary positively?
The world is full of ironies.

An example is that you are more concerned about allegations of falsification of records vs theft of millions.

Not sure about Nigerias legal system but one will probably be a misdemeanor while the other will be a felony.

Funny... How corrupt judges like Okon Agban of the Federal High Court in Abuja who consistently rules in favour of the APC, and threw Abia into a state of confusion, somehow miraculously has been immune to this sting operation.

Our we going to fix Nigeria by selective sting operations?

Are you guys telling me, Nigeria does not require a Sting Operation to capture the Judge who suspended Buhari's certificate case indefinitely. indefinitely concerning buaris certificate?

The President who is fighting corruption when he lied about his qualification? Common guys, we are not all fools.
Even in advanced communities, are all the criminals arrested?

Does the fact that whoever you mentioned is currently free, make the others innocent.

It is like getting caught for being unfaithful to your wife and telling her that your friends are also unfaithful... Very juvenile.

And if we keep making excuses like this, Justice will never develop. We kill it at its infantile stage.

The US went through stages and are still going through stages to develop their justice system. The key is that they keep on building on what is already there ("maintenance culture" ) and not destroying the imperfect system.

For instance, if you are not connected in the US, you are more likely to get convicted for a trivial crime.

If we keep on making excuses for criminals, we the masses will continue to suffer.

Every criminal will have his own day of reckoning. Every day for monkey, one day for the owner. I'm sure you have heard of situations when people don't get convicted for many years. If we develop our justice system, empower law enforcement and the judiciary, everything is on paper. And people will pay for their corruption. They will spend their old age in prison. and this is what makes people more compliant with laws in advanced societies. We are impatient but it has to be a process.

So lets stop making excuses. Please.

After all the arrests how many convictions have been secured? How did the Saraki/Ekeweremadu case go?
How can there be convictions when the judiciary itself is corrupt.

Law enforcement - corrupt, Justice system - corrupt. how will anything work when there is a virus eating out its CPU.

A lot of Nigerians don't seem to understand how rigged the system is.

I think we have all agreed it is not a feeding method to be encouraged, that comment was directed at the poster sounding like the women who employed such method set out to kill their kids.
So, can you tell me why it is discouragedhuh

Sometimes, people have good intentions but are misinformed about the consequences.

How is this different from rubbing cow feces on a wound in order to heal it.

That is why "educated" people should be at the forefront of discouraging these harmful practices and not defending it.

Sometimes, we cause harm to people we love by the things we do to them.

Unfortunately, healthcare is a sad state in Nigeria and a lot of unsuspecting pregnant mothers end up with unqualified/untrained pretenders during childbirth who lead them into complications.

Husband should go after the initial people that were taking care of him. The case should be investigated and if they are culpable of neglect, then thy should pay damages.
