On how to use it; once downloaded just copy it to your Windows folder. That is the folder c:\Windows

you dont need to download it

you can access regedit without that software and its not a place for a general novice pc person

you can ask the networks to block it

then it will be just a toy to the person who stole it

hibernating is for when you know that you would be back in short while to resume from where you left

eg 1 hr or 2 etc

log off is when there is more than one user of the pc and you log off from your pc account and the pc remains on

personally i prefer to shut down my pc any work i was doing i save it and for web pages i just add the current page to my favourites and delete it on next log but after i have finished the business with it

Reason:- my bmw 325i only goes to the mechanic when I need to service it. That is just changing oil every 3months. And I buy the oil my self. 2 gallons of mobil 1 oil @ 9k each. And I also buy the oil filter too. So its only workmanship. The car no de spoil. No issues. If I need to ever buy a part I will order it online. That way you're sure its genuine and even cheaper sef.

there is no such service but only a recovery disc with default factory installation meaning you will lose your personal data except if you had created your own recovery disc

i know. i think my point really is either way, is there a way to reach my computer from outside the LAN.
i dont know if im making any sense or asking the right question anyway.

but my point really is: the computer i want to access, (incidentally from my android phone) is not connected to the internet directly. it has ip assigned dynamically by a router and all the systems on the LAN have one common gateway, i.e the server, at least to the outside world. its the server that shares internet so either way u either get the local ip address or 127.0.0.1!


is there a way to connect to that pc? i can get credentials for the server, i have admin privs, (im a noob no vex). i can RDP to the server incidentally, but i want access to my specific workstation.

i know there are many network admins on this NL, make una help ur guy na.

if you are not good with passwords run two accounts one basic one and one adminstrator and the password there has to the one you never forget

basic browsing use the basic one and adminstrator one use it for that purpose only

yemi solar: i installed windows 7 ultimate edition. it is validated. i tried to run the acrobat reader, miscosoft office and mozilla set up that i saved from my vista.

why not download a fresh installation from the internet mozilla and acrobat then as for office do you have the installion disc or all the folders from the actual office installation disc

toluxa1: It actually depends. For example, my younger brother is 15 and my mum bought him a Nokia X2. Up till tomorrow I made it clear to them that its a bad idea. Immediately he comes back from school, first place is to his phone, 2go, chatting. Sometimes I see him online at 12am. The truth is these things are a serious deterrent to the seriousness of our young ones. Many kids failing WAEC and NECO, fail because they are distracted by 2go, whatsapp, facebook, etc.

But if its a touch light for for example just for the purpose of communication, they its allowed.

PS: infact am going to seize that his phone, I don vex.

if your kid is at any time alone outside, (like many are) then a cellphone is a great way of being able to contact them....unless you have any other way of contacting them in such instance?

do you think s/he will switch on her phone when s/her knows that she has broken the rules ?

remember lets not forget that we are talking of a 10yr old here not those above 15

fesse: For me i will say it is right as somebody mentioned above(sch,lectures, etc).I bought a phone for my nice, she is 9 yrs old. The level of insecurity and the nature of my work(time) made me to buy it.

the only emergency a child of that age can go through is when an adult who is charge of looking after that 10yr old collapses etc then thats when the child can take the phone from the collapsed adult and phone emergency numbers

but we shouldnt mixed it up from the question asked would buy a phone for a 10 yrs for emergency, my scenario above the child is not the one who needs the emergency attention but the adult so dont get confused

the important question to ask IS: why did your mum bought the phone for exactly? was there even a need to contact the child, if he is either at school or directly home?

dont forget the age, the age mentioned is 10

so why would let your 10 old child go on her own ? they can go as group but among the group would an older person

as for the school bus it is the duty of the bus driver to contact school in case of emergency then the school will contact you


it is the duty of the football tutor to call you if your child has not turned up and also it is your duty to them if your child has not showed up home at his/her normal average time that when you ask what time did they leave etc

its not about about him/her having a phone at that age but whoever will be looking after them must have your number to contact you

MRbrownJAY: ^^^football practice, field trips, music classes, after class studies, private tutor etc the list is long. yes, some may have a driver that take their kids to school and back home, but many live in a world where their kids are out there in the real world.

anyone who has a kid in the west would certainly understand that.

why not phone whoever will be in charge of thw football practice and those field trips etc and besides they should have your number as the parent or guardian not the child of that age

did anyone change the settings in the BIOS

changing disk only works if disk is a clone or copy of disk you took out if not it wont work you have to do a fresh install
