@ aletheia, Rather selective in quoting me, weren't you? frosbel:@frosbel, I am sure that many muslims, Buddhists etc would say the same about christians. Ahh, the arrogance of the believer. every one is certain that his god is the one true god. |
The arrogance of the believer. davidylan: |
@ frosbel frosbel:Most people, religious or not, do not 1. Kill and shed innocent blood in the name of religion, 2. Steal another person's spouse (sounds to me that you think that my spouse is my property), 3. Gossip and ruin other people's reputations, and 4. Fornicate with persons they have no intention of marrying (although it takes two consenting adults to fornicate and I wonder why god seems to be fascinated with people's sexual habits). You may consider yourself guilty before god, I certainly do not consider myself guilty of anything. So I ask you, what do you say will happen to people like me who do not and will not accept jesus as our personal lord and saviour, people who refuse to believe in the existence of god in any way, shape or form? |
Image123:The arrogance of a believer. @ Image123, I am so sure that you are a fool. How do you know that the poster is not a christian? Your arrogance is so breathtaking. |
mazaje:I wonder why God must be a sadist to condemn not just 1.2 billion muslims to heel, but over 4 billion non christians. Their only sins appear to be accidents of birth. |
Less than five years after the death of his first wife. ![]() Would the reaction have been as favourable if it Was Bimbo Odukoya re-marrying four years after her husband's death? I don't think so. |
I have made quite a lot of money over the years but I don't pay tithe (in fact I never pay any money to a church). Does this mean I am going to lose the money ![]() ![]() |
cbjonstage:And you guys call yourselves christains? ![]() What kind of prayers were these - Imprecatory prayers? Did you use palsm 35 by any chance? Who did you pray for and how did they die? Na wah oh for these superstitious people. If prayers work, Nigeria would be a world leader in all things today. |
@ Jomint94, We heard you the first time. Repeating yourself twice does not improve the quality of your message. |
texazzpete:I can see that texazzpete believes this story. More fool him. |
I wonder why anyone expected any different from him. These guys are too full of themselves. |
Another crazy post about the "demonic influences" in Hip hop and pop!!! Why are these fundamentalists always finding hidden messages, subliminal what nots and all kinds of c.r.a.p in music. Maybe they should get out a bit more. All that bible bashing does rot the brain (the poster will be seeing hidden messages in newspapers soon). ![]() |
Why do people pose questions they think they know the answers to? ![]() @jacpet If you think that nookie before marriage is a sin, don't do it, and stop disturbing the rest of us with your sanctimonious do-gooder attitude. On the other hand, if you want to do it, just do it. Millions of other people have (even pastors' wives) and nothing has happened to them. |
I bet Evang. Olu has never had a stiffy in his life.
"But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart." Mt 5:28
As for me, I commit adultery every day, every time I see a pretty woman. I just do not let it bother me. ![]() |
Why this public protestations of faith? Shouldn't prayer be private? |
Fhemmmy:I presume that it would not be misappropriation of the church's funds if such funds were being used to pay the GO's children's school fees. Of course it would be. Because there are no independent structures in most of these churches, their leaders can get away with anything. The least one expects their members to do is insist on some sort of independent auditors chosen or elected by members. One can dream, it will never happen. These guys are too paranoid to allow it. |
Fhemmmy:Who then is responsible? God is supposed to be omnipotent, omniscient and omni-everything. If such a powerful being is not responsible for everything, good and bad, who is? Trying to blame every evil on satan (another myth, just like god) is making excuses for a less than perfect god. The reality is that human beings are responsible for their actions, not god, not satan and definitely not the little green creatures with forked tongues at the end of my garden. |
What is the point of this post? It appears that the poster is satisfied that fornication is a mortal sin. If so, is this about bragging rights? Control yourself and stop trying to show off. |
There is no difference. They are both, most likely, fictional characters. |
toba:I wonder whether you think it irrelevant because you know it has never and will NEVER happen. Is it relevant to webb jamie whether satan has ever appeared to ogaga? |
toba:NO |
@ webb jamie, Do I therefore take that you are refusing to answer my question? Or is it that jesus has never appeared to you? |
Kenyan 28:Nice to know that there are still dreamers out there. Dream on sister. |
toba:By the time he is ready to show his face I am sure that my great grand children's great grand children would be long dead. ![]() |
@kenny888 Your friend, I am sorry to say, is a fool, if he had to seek advice on a no-brainer like this. If he wants to pay tithe and watch his friend die, surely that is his problem. At least the pastor will have a few good words to say at his friend's funeral. ![]() Nigeria is full of MUMUS |
May kelly:@ may kelly, Why are you always shouting? It is the family business, innit |
Date and time, please. There is no use keeping us hanging on for much longer. After all, we have been waiting for him for about 2000 years. ![]() |
Does this man know what he is talking about? Business will dry up if pastors do as he says, and there will be no need for churches. We do not need men of god to teach civic duties. That is the duty of secular organisations. The duty of the church is to teach eternal damnation and how you can buy your way to ever lasting glory. ![]() |
Why are we complaining? Have we not elevated these We are fond of accusing the muslims of being ignorant, but at least we got some vague idea of the state of the president from them. The problem with these so-called men of god is the arrogance of the righteous. They believe that they are always right because of their 'direct access to god' that they think that the rest of the world does not matter. The vice president and the cabinet and the chief medical officer should have been the first to see the president to determine whether or not he is fit to continue carrying on his duties. Instead, we have these socially useless parasites who think that they are important. InesQor:I agree, there may have been some sort of non-disclosure agreement, however, any sensible person would have refused to accept it. |
@ webb jamie, I am not a satanist. So please, answer my question- Has jesus ever appeared to you in a verifiable way? |
