dukeprince50: wow, commendable, I like kano State, they rise above critics, we always blame the north for our misfortune and say they are the problem of this country, just because ur neighbour refuse to keep his room in order, u will not tidy urs but blame ur neighbour. the north is never ur problem, the govt is the problem, we the oil producing states get 13% derivatives but nothing to show for it, was it cos of d north?
former and present Governor of Rivers State fighting and throwing tantrums like kids, was it cos of d north?
Africa is so backward, yet d western countries are growing bigger, they didn't blame Africa for misfortunes.
The whole of Bayelsa state doesn't have even a 10cm long flyover but they will insult the north.
Ask them how the north became their problem, they won't say, Africa is den d problem of the world, we are so backward, refuse to grow and still blame ourselves. You are quite on point here. The other day I was at Asaba and shocked to find government offices accommodated in lock-up shops. Been at AkwaIbom,Bayelsa and Rivers States where it appears that only Uyo AKS has something to show for the massive oil revenue they pick up. Ostentatious lifestyle is common place. |

gcof: what matters to Buhari is being the president and as long as he is president, anything can happen he doesn’t care But a leader should be large hearted and welcome all! That, I think is what is playing out! It’s like what you have in a typical family where one parent is the cane wielder (Oshiomhole) while the other (Buhari) is the succour provider for the spanked bambino! When it’s all over both parents (Buhari and Oshiomhole) will discuss the bambino(Amosun) in the privacy of their bedroom and decide what to do with him! Amosun the bambino kicking the door open into his Papa’s bedroom! |

ngadaAwo: [s][/s] nope they didn't and will never have any regrets on that an average igbo man does not depend on government for survival they hustle on their own and make living from their hard works even in an unfriendly hostile situations that's why they don't give a Flying furck when supporting the candidates of their choice they do so and damn the consequences because they owe no one any freaking apology and favours. that's how you behave when you're 100% independent.
my question is can any other tribe boast of such independence from government? Business is not unconcerned about the fellow who sets policy in any given space where it has footprints. That fellow is called Government! |

SolutionsMed: What bunch of childish reactions is this man making and some trolls making here? Just imagine the idiocy in the whole contradictory claims! In one breath, the man claims Igbos play politics of emotion and cannot unite. In another breath, he claims they are united and put their eggs in one basket.
One thing I have come to realise is, when you are a butt of envy no matter what you do people will find faults. In all honesty, would you do deals with inconsistent and unreliable folks? Ndigbo have shown over and again that they are consistent in their ideological choices. Why are Northern Hausa/Fulani voters not attacked for voting in bloc direction where their interest is best served?
It is this anti-Igbo sentiments on platforms and discussions such as this that make Nigeria such a shithole of bigotry and underdevelopment.
Nigerians must end ethnic profiling and break the jinx and anti-Igbo sentiments. 2023 is Nigeria's date to show that this is truly one nation. Nigerian President of Igbo extraction is an indisputable reality. See how clean and decent your post is! That exactly is what Baba Achebe had to say the other time about the SE. Hear him- “I will be the first to concede that the Igbo as a group is not without its flaws. Its success can and did carry deadly penalties: the dangers of hubris, overweening pride, and thoughtlessness, which invite envy and hatred or, even worse, than can obsess the mind with material success and dispose it to all kinds of crude showiness. There is no doubt at all that there is a strand in contemporary Igbo behavior that can offend by its noisy exhibitionism and disregard for humility and quietness.” - Chinua Achebe |

lielbree: The truth is always a tough pill to swallow. I respect Tiunbu a lot. He set Lagos state on a path of prosperity but he goofed big time for buhari.
What did buhari do after winning in 2015? He sent efcc after him. It took buhari just attending Tiunbu birthday party that had him rolling on the floor again. Buhari will never support Osibanjo. It's clear from the way they treat him. Osibanjo is a glorified errand boy. Good leaders stoop to conquer! |

I campaigned hard and VOTED for Atiku amid ameachi induced military bullets flying every where on my LGA.
We need to re strategize. I pray for a miracle at the supreme court for Atiku if not it's not looking good politically for us.
The core north have hatched a plan for buhari to hand over to ribadu. Let's not down play it! BTW, Jonathan is Ijaw. He was President. I will agree any day though that he was very far from the best The Izon had to offer as President. |

maasoap: Boring. If giving all your votes to Atiku Al'Camerooni Dan Fulani didn't make you slaves, I wonder why Yorubas who split their votes should be tagged slaves. Boring. Ndigbo should have a thing or two to learn from the Yoruba who split their votes and maintain sizeable presence in the major political parties for obvious reasons. In politics there are no permanent enemies. You don’t slam the door in the face of an acquaintance - you may have need of the relationship some other time. Ndigbo would appear to see differently. |

The way we define things in this part of the world surprise surprises me. What informed the choice? That’s the beef of the anti IGBO lot! It’s about time the Igbo stop despising and looking down on others who are not IGBO!! |
