Hmmm!
Matthew 7:15-23
“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

Amosun is not in their league IMO...he's still has his Senatorial ticket and free pass into Aso Rock...Unlike Saraki and Ajimobi who failed to install their successors and still lost their Senatorial bids ...Fayose on his part lost everything.
A General with a free pass into Aso Rock but without troops will lose that pass in no time! Just watch in 3D how it goes with Amosun. A proud and haughty spirit is bound to bite the dust!

I understand your pains bro. the SE after buying most yoruba properties in Lagos also want to crab the political structure which have caused more psychological and physical discomfort to the SW. I wish the APC takes the lead of politics and the igbos concentrate on their businesses for peace to reign.
You must feel pains to understand it. I feel no pains whatsoever. My point which bothers on the satirical is to the effect that Agbaje manner of politicking that takes its breath from playing Ndigbo against the Yoruba in Lagos is to be condemned by all who wish humanity well. I am no ethnic jingoist! However, your paradigm would appear unshifting! Your manner of speech discloses that much! Experience, they say, is the best teacher for the one who disregard danger or consequences. So long!

You obviously havent travelled much.. From Sao Paulo to Addis Ababa in Eithiopia, they all have proper underground systems. Yet you want to compare them to buses...??

Pipe borne water is water of drinkable quality from a centralised source, not me digging my own bore hole..

Who cares about whether power is Nigeria wide issue.. Ambode and Fash largely did nothing to resolve the problem in Lagos. Why didnt they form a state owned power company and bid for the private power contract and fix the problem directly? They dont have the vision or ability thats why...

From old cities like London to newer ones like New York, Dubai, Singapore and Shanghai constant power is a given.. Yet here you sit making excuses...

Uber and Taxify are foreign companies, the money they make is instantly sent abroad.. By and large not one Naija brain cell was involved in their creation..

Nigerians love mediocrity and make excuses for it all the time..
Obasanjo did Lagos much harm in its bid to make power available 24/7. That man will have his comeuppance shortly!

He shouldnt have to change platform. The fact that you think he should shows everything that is wrong with Nigerian politics...

The fact that you accept such a situation, shows that your thinking is part of the problem..
A pragmatic assessment of Nigerian politics at its present level suggests that much! Only the platform of the APC and PDP was worth calling one! My take would be different were independent candidacy to be on the table.

Look at what is happening in OYO state.. AJIMOBI has to be the best governor OYO state has ever produced in terms of Infrastructure but the people got tired of what's happening in the state and APC government in all spheres. OYO people are politically matured people unlike people in Lagos.
On the eve of the election APC people were sharing one noodles per person on the streets, ringing bell telling electorate to vote APC. On the day of the election at the polling unit in my compound, APC agents were seen following voters to the polling boots compelling them to vote APC. Less than 20 people came to vote against 700 registered voters.
Lagos is too big to be in one's man pocket..
You may wish to look deeper and it should soon be clear to you that this is not about Lagos in one man’s pocket. It is no longer news that Tinubu himself, though Yoruba, is not native to Lagos just as Ambode is not native to Epe. However the unwritten Yoruba agenda for the need to keep Lagos properly governed in the immediate interest of the Yoruba and larger interest of Nigeria transcend the nativity issue and the Yoruba are largely one that Tinubu is doing a good job of the aim of the Yoruba agenda for Lagos! While it is perfectly within the rights of another Yoruba politician to seek to be as relevant as Tinubu (if not more relevant) the resort to playing Ndigbo sentiments against the Yoruba in Lagos is in bad taste and condemnable. That was Agbaje’s Achilles heel!!

This election is not free and fair..

By my calculation, the population of Igbos in Lagos is far more than the population of yorubas. Jimi aligned with the Igbos and I am sure they all gave him their votes..so it's statistically impossible for APC to win with such a wide margin...

...Note: I am very poor at statistics.. grin

Misguided brothers, how far? grin grin
Ndigbo will need to reimage if they must have the political trust of other geopolitical zones in Nigeria. The statement by Ndigbo that “Lagos is no man’s land” has done incalculable damage to the political image of Ndigbo in Lagos and nationally. Its necessary implication is that where Ndigbo is accommodated and or put in the Driver’s seat in an environment not indigenous to Ndigbo it is only a matter of time before they’ll make you a stranger in your own indigenous community. No one wants that! That exactly is what Baba Achebe had to say the other time about the SE. Hear him-
“I will be the first to concede that the Igbo as a group is not without its flaws. Its success can and did carry deadly penalties: the dangers of hubris, overweening pride, and thoughtlessness, which invite envy and hatred or, even worse, than can obsess the mind with material success and dispose it to all kinds of crude showiness. There is no doubt at all that there is a strand in contemporary Igbo behavior that can offend by its noisy exhibitionism and disregard for humility and quietness.” - Chinua Achebe

My brother, go to Oyo, ogun, ekiti, kwara, and ondo state you will always see an Igbo man leaving the best of his life. An Igbo man can purchase land and build his own house, do his businesses without any issue and even here is Lagos state. They even have indigbo with built palaces across these states.

But what do we get after all this full brotherly offer of hospitality? Hatred, insults and to crown it all declaring that lagos state is a NO mans land?

They should have open a full blown war in lagos state when they weren't allowed to vote and see real whips.

Nnamdi Kanu blabbed he's leading his campaign for Biafra to lagos the other time but he never did.

Finally, the yorubas will always love and welcome any other tribe but don't always feel our silence is stupidity.

As long as this stupidity of being too smart and territory possessive attitude still exist in Ipobs, they might not get it right anytime soon
That exactly is what Baba Achebe had to say the other time about the SE. Hear him-

I actually know enough to ask. Don’t presume to think my statement is born out of ignorance of the importance of the person of Dele Momodu in our nascent democracy. That has no bearing on the import of the letter. The VP from all indications of his first 4 yrs is not one that is not attuned to the travails of the common man in Nigeria unlike his principal. So what is the point of writing an open letter to him, when it should be directed to his boss.
You just underscored my take on Dele Momodu - opportunistic tendencies for selfish reasons is his hallmark! His importance traceable to the capital garnered overtime trading borrowed goodwill!

That's just the truth. In Oyo, Osun, Ekiti etc you keep hearing of Alao Ajala, Fayose, etc. But in Lagos, Jimi Agbaje just appears once every four years and disappears like a Crab after that. Even their leader Bode George hardly talks and does not have the credibility and personality to lead such a revolution.

If someone like Fayose was a lagosian am sure PDP would have been a viable treat because he talks and communicates all year round and not just waiting for the elections
Fayose? No. That won’t happen in Lagos. The EKITI were aloof from the political happenings in their State is the reason Fayose gained ground to the point he became an embarrassment! Lagosians are politically savvy and are not about to watch their business investments go down in a hail of bad policies set by an incompetent Governor. Fayose is not near one-quarter of The mental acuity and political sagacity needed to win the guber in Lagos State not to talk of governing the State.
