Some people are possessed of EVIL spirits and that spirits pushes them to do evil and wickedness. If you can conquer that spirit through violent prayers then victory is yours. If not then the problem continues.

For so many people, God has purposed to elevate and do a new thing in their lives but the evil powers won't allow it. Anytime the blessings are about to get to them, the wicked people block it or sometimes hijack it. If you don't command them to be destroyed same thing will keep happening until the wicked people die and when that happens the person might be in his old age. I've found out that these wicked people tend to live long so you can imagine the years of such an individual they would have wasted.

Since two years ago that I joined nairaland, I have never seen any post condemning mohammed, an imam, a mosque or any muslim group making the front page. Why must useless and stupid threads condemning and abusing churches, Jesus christ and annointed men of God always make the front page, thereby creating an avenue for ignorant nincompoops to post rubish regarding what they know little or nothing about. sophy09: I have heard a lot about this church for some time now and numerous people I know go there. There are talks that you get delivered from every and any spiritual problems one has and that the prayers are very powerful. My friends who go there seems to have changed a lot(they are sort of paranoid). All the prayers are either die, back fire, paralyze your enemies. Well I see nothing wrong with that if that is their belief and their prayers are answered but the thing that baffles me is that they feel someone(foundational/ancestral/witchcraft powers) is always behind their problem. In some cases they maybe true which I do not dispute but is it in all cases? Another thing about them is that they do not trust anyone. When they see you in their dreams wahala. It was funny when she told me someone in her church was behind her problem. I was surprised. With the way she prays the person should either be dead or paralyzed by now and her problem solved.

Exactly my point! These are wishes, not PRAYER. These are affirmations! In a crazy violent and vigorous sort of way, but it isn't prayer. Prayer by christian standard is defined by Christ (after abolishing the old convenant and old ways) in his Model prayer and his teaching on prayer. Why is this difficult to accept and understand. Evil Brain: I still remember the first time I set foot in an MFM church. It was way back in 1996 or '97, I was dragged to their headquarters in Akoka by my momsi who had heard about them from one of her born-again friends.

One woman gave a very funny testimony. She was in a bus traveling from Lagos to Ibadan when "the holy spirit" told her that the bus was going to have an accident. So she started praying: "Every spirit of motor accident, fall down and die!" From there, she started praying "machine-gun prayer": DIE! DIE!! DIE!!!. The other passengers soon started complaining that who is this person that is shouting "DIE, DIE" in a bus? They all ganged up on her and made her keep quiet.

The bus then had an accident and somersaulted several times. I'll never forget the woman's next words: "We had accident and notin happened to me. But all the people saying I should stop shouting Die, Die, they rushed them to mortuary. PRAAIISE THE LOOORD!!!"

The MFM crowd shouted hallelujah.

Those who think mfm prays dangerous prayers, you have never been to Ori-oke's(mountain top) where prayer vigils are held in s\west. MFM is a quick fix that God sent to help people understand the monstrous nature of idolatry and witchcraft and how it has affected the destiny of African societies.
A personal experience in 1997,at Ogba retail market,a car that had its handbrake on,after it was parked suddenly moved and crossed the gutter on its own, my baby brother was in the driver seat and I was at the passenger side(note we did not tamper with the brake), my father's extended family members were sitting behind and my mum had gone into the market, it was Sunday and we were just coming back from church,was a teenager back then,we got help from concerned passers-by, but from that day I knew that evil powers exist.Listen those who say Jesus taught us how to pray, go to the book of psalms 2,94,97,89 and see scriptures talking about violence, listen if Jesus prayed and it is recorded that his sweat was like blood, how can sweat be like blood? note that it refers to the intensity of his prayer for his sweat to pour that much; and remember it was probably a cool night hour for him to produce so much sweat.....

My family once signed up for their one week deliverance...

It was hellish!
Imagine being on an empty stomach all day and then you cannot even pray your own style in the evening..you have to shake and jump and swing your arms forcefully before they accept you are actually praying..
I would be praying silently and the ushers would come and shake me aggressively till i feel like falling all in the name of telling me to pray .
After that week,my dad said he wasn't ready to have him arm dislocated from its joint all just he has to pray..and that was the end of our MFM experience!
