List of nominees of the January 2013 debaters:

1) manny4life
2) Shollypopz

It's on a first come first serve basis, at least for this month's edition. The nominees should signify that they will be available for the debate.

Max Siollun will make a good Judge

he has demonstrated in his books an ability to divorce his perosonal views from the facts

I had thought Jarus will keep coordinating the debates and was going to ask him to coordinate it while moderators enforces the agreed rules. Nothing stops him from doing so, it is not a must that moderators should coordinate it, after all Katsumoto effectively coordinated the last one.

You have a point there. Jarus has the midas touch as far as conducting the debate is concerned.

Have we agreed on debaters?

Is the topic still state of residence vs state of origin?

jarus,

since afam already got the train moving on this one i think it is well that he finishes it through. you can support him in the background. the perception from this end is important. you understand what i mean and i dont need to talk much.

when are you testosterone infested guys are going to step aside so my mukinatou can coordinate it sometimes? grin

Was the topic democratically arrived at as is tradition from onset?

Jarus, with all due respect, I think you should step aside and let the moderators organise/moderate these debates regardless of how incompetent (or not) they may be.
The site owner has made a decision to introduce quota system rather than merit and I think he should either swim or sink with the outcome.
No one lasts forever. You did your best and a jolly good one too. Its time to step aside and let others run the show.

And you think Seun will be the one to swim or sink with the outcome? Not true. Its you and I that will be affected if this Debates fail. Its the 1 million NLers and over 3 million guests that will be affected, not Seun.

The Debate was Jarus concept and he can still facilitate it without being a mod (he already has the two mods who will assist him). I'm pleased that he has opted to help out despite his tight schedule. It'll be bad of us to dissuade him from continuing with this wonderful concept of his. Posterity will not forgive us. I rest my case.
