Njaba/Anim State is recommended to be created from Imo and Anambra states with the capital in Orlu. Local governments expected to be under it are Orlu, Orau, Oru East, Oru West, Ohaji/Egbema, Ogut! Njaba, Isu, Nwangele, Mkwere, Ideato Nirth, Ideato South and Ihiala.

They cannot call a state comprising of Anambra and Imo after an imo local government of Njaba, the appropriate name will be Anim State recognising that the state is a new entity not an addition to any local government to avoid trouble.

Secondly, wat are the plans for power sharing between the imo and Anambra elements of the state?

Thirdly, the people of Orlu seem keen on this state, i just hope they are not entertaining any fantasy of monopolizing Government or focusing funds from all the local government primarily in Orlu. Orlu will not load things over anybody or operate an empire on the back of anybody.

Ndi Anambra ga gbaye unu nti.

U better hold a referendum to sort out issues with Ndi Ihiala and Anambra, possibly hold a referendum.

I dont know wat Orlu people are upto and why they keep agitating for a state. If the way Rochas and his village people hear on nairaland behaviour is anything to go by, then with an Anambra local gov(people), their will be serious trouble.

They better leave Anambra out and have their Orlu state. Rather than mistreat the good people of Ihiala. They are receive development in present Anambra at least under Obi and are fine. Anambra should be off limit.

Well we have to wait for the Senate to approve this. I doubts if everything would be approved considering the current state of our revenue. Some States would be scrapped out. Two States is proposed to be carved out of Niger alone. The only difference is that one of them(Kanji) would be merge with half of Kebbi while the other(Edu) would stand alone, The Senate may discard the latter.

Ihiala happens to be the only local govt from anambra in this new state, hope they will not be treated like an outcast in this new Union

I give my support to the creation of Adada State and Aba State for the east. We need a State that will not rely on oil.

If the stone age could come to an end, the oil age will also come to an end. States have to find other means to generate

revenues to fund development projects. It is time Ndiigbo start heading in that direction.

Imo and Anambra as a State, has alot of work doing, with construction of road and railway network for internal transport.

Njaba without at least 2 to 4 Anambra local government should not include Ihiala or any single anambra local govenment.

Ndi-Orlu can have a State without Ihiala or Anambra.

As for Anioma State, it should be created in the South South to include the igbanke. They don't need to join the east region.

Ogoja state can be created from Cross River State. No region should get more than two states addition.

Seriously, you're not far from the truth. The good people of Ihiala needs a very concrete agreement with Orlu people before joining this new union to avoid had I know.

Most stupid resolution the confab has made second only to the incredulous idea of rotation of presidency. Are these people blind or just plain selfish and greedy. Resources is scarce and corruption is thriving more than oil yet you still want to create more states. USA that's as large as what I don't know has only 50 states. By the way Nigerian govt claim to be copying America's style of federal governance. Creation of addition states will only make the center stronger, the states lazier, fragmentation of Nigeria and break up of ethnic groups and families. Of what is the reason behind dis creation of states?!! I can only see selfish reasons and selfish reason and selfish reasons. If 36 isn't working how will 54 work? Give LGAs autonomy, reduce the powers of federal and state govt and create city councils not states. please!!!. City councils will ensure the participation of ordinary men in governance, men that I can see and touch not governors that drive up and down in latest SUVs causing accidents and traffic jam. Tufiakwa. God save Nigeria from this old men and women.

TO ME THE ONLY STATE THAT SHOULD BE CREATED IN THE SOUTH WEST IS OKUN STATE.THE YORUBA'S IN KWARA AND KOGI SHOULD FORM OKUN STATE AND IT SHOULD BE JOINED TO THE SOUTH WEST.

OKUN STATE IS THE ONLY STATE THE SW NEEDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!angryangryangry

Another means to feed corruption. Are additional states the answer to the issues we have? The creation of new states will only cost more money. Are the states we have now successfull. We are such a backward nation, where personal advantage outweighs national importance.

Further breaking up an already fragile nation, divided on so many lines. We need to kill all the old politicians in nigerian, their greed has no limit. So every hamlet will now be a local government?
Truly our so called elders have failed this nation yet the open their mouth to say we are lazy and unemployable. They really need a meeting with their makers
