Ranking definitely matters. The importance of ranking can not be over emphasised

yea although what d individual can offer is paramount, but I still feel ow a school rank kinda still has dis ' overall reputation effect' wen viewed from an employers perspective...

even tho till 2morow i'm 51% sure dat employers still favour d Russell unis ist, am really happy coventry and I think surrey be giving some of des schools a run for der money...

University of Sussex actually had the highes leap, from 43rd last year to 19th this year! I'm surprised at the discrepancies between UK based rankings and global rankings though.

Please don't forget , you can by all means look at the overall university score / rating.
Remember that some schools specialise in certain subjects. So check the rating for subject as well, that can be what brings potential employers to a school or department and those are the good jobs! cheesy

You can still check that using google by typing the name and discipline/program. Like me that's what I did.Not everyone might know the graduate prospect of your discipline on the thread.check students forum on facebook, twitter other social media and student reviews. An alumi or student might discuss your discipline

Coventry has been getting lots of accolades lately some of their courses are accredited by some professional bodies. lthough I rejected Coventry for RGU cus they have stronger links with industries. What is CRUCIAL is the ranking of whichever school ny1 attends when its time to graduate it could be high now and low when its time to graduate or the other way round.

infact the subject table is more significant. Old universities would forever be ranked above the ones created in 1992. So why bother about the overall ratings

That is really something I worried about. Internal UK rankings are distorted from global rankings. Which scale are they using to rank sef?
Well I based my choice using the World rankings though

Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds, Aberdeen, Kings College all these good schools below Coventry, Southampton and the like? Very distorted indeed.

Yes but not from Nigeria, you can make a deposit of maximum £1020 then finish the rest during your orientation in the UK.

Which is better, deposit is just for reservation, some student accommodation is shit anyway so its important that you see it before paying else you ask for refund.

Those smaller rooms are single bedrooms, very very tiny room, if you are an average sized woman than you are in trouble. no space apart from your little reading table and wall drop
