Those that are always shouting they want revolution, this is how it is. It can never be peaceful. Your oppressors will never give you your freedom for free and freedom is not free. Now that revolution is coming, are we ready for it? That is the big question.

SARS is a useless organization. When an organization has no function, it starts to misfunction. Go and look at how the SARS was created. It was a result of fight between police and the army that birthed sars. Can you tell me what is the use of SARS? What is the use of police officers operating in unmarked vehicles and without uniforms other than to be committing crimes. This sars are not detectives. We already have detectives in the police force. This SARS are just bunch of criminal elements that are intimidating the youths. Not every youth making something of himself is a yahoo boy. How many crimes have sars solved?

We don't want sars again or is it by force? All NPF must wear uniform with name tag so we can know who is who.

Fleshly:
It's easily predictable that she will win. There's something about an Igbo man/woman who's determined, there's no force that can stop him/her. Had Buhari shunned nepotism, and allowed an Igbo judge to represent Nigeria at ICC, there's no way he/she will be disqualified at preliminary stages like that Quota system almajiri judge!

I'm sure Yoruba Muslims and their northern almajiri counterparts will surely be pained by this news, but do they really have a choice?? We Ndigbo will continue to be ahead of everybody. We have determined to rule and lead Nigeria and as anyone can see we are using our indefatigable propaganda machinery to bring down anything that stands on our way. For Example the ongoing demystificstion of the drug baron opolo eye bourdillion thief - Tinubu, and the stigmatization of the terrorist in chief Elrufai, are some of our handiworks. By the time we are done with them, we will focus our attention on that short engine pretender pastor in Aso villa. 2023 is ours to make!!! It's either we make it or NO ONE WILL!!

But let me say this for the sake of those fickle minded Igbos, please stop falling for the cheap emotional blackmail of futa jalon illeterates, who keep asking Ndigbo to build bridges. To be honest, there's no tribe that has built bridges more than Ndigbo, but time and again when those bridges are built, the Yoruba Muslims and their northern almajiri counterparts will burn them down out of envy. Now this generation says no MORE! WE ain't interested in building bridges again, and this is paining them because they have discovered that we are ready to square it off with them, and they know we will win!!

Yeah, we will campaign in the almajiri north and we will use our people there to secure their votes, after all the fulanis believe that Igbos are far superior to them, so they have no choice than to vote for our candidate. Though, the northern elites are not happy with an Igbo man ruling Nigeria because they believe he will not easily succumb to pressure, but again they don't have a choice since America has now declared interest in Nigerian elections. And all of us know that the new US foreign policy in Nigeria under president Trump is in favour of Ndigbo. Can everyone now see how intelligent and smart we are?

Immediately Buhari won his elections, unlike the Yoruba people who's elders would have gone to the villa cap in hand begging for handouts, we Ndigbo said NO WAY!! We must never lose our honour, we had rejected Buahari thrice and we will continue to reject him. So what did we do?? We first started with IPOB in order to create a political leverage, thereafter, we took over the cyber space, in order to make sure that news coming outta Nigeria is always in our favour. After that we stood and campaigned for Trump to get elected, and then we began working for our people to get a chance to manage international organizations. This is a master stroke!!

Do you now see how we managed to cage Buhari? and we will continue to use these strategies on him till we drive him outta office and get our person elected. You see why we are always confident in ourselves?? Because we know how to get things done!! No other tribe in Nigeria could have pulled a fast one on a mad general who is the president, and even at that remained adamant after he became president except Ndigbo. Even if we conduct elections 10 times, Buhari will still lose the Igbo votes and we are not apologetic about it. Sometimes when I remember that I'm Igbo man, I feel intoxicated because nothing in life can be better than it.

So you now see why the northern elites are pushing for GEJ presidency, because they know for sure an Igbo man is coming and they are morbidly afraid of it, because they understand that Igbos don't cave in under pressure and they don't like that. But do we care?? NEVER!

Now imagine NOI as the DG of WTO and Peter Obi as the president of Nigeria. I tell you not even South Africa can measure up with Ndigbo in terms of GDP Per capita. When you see most of our governors building airport, do you think it's just for fun?? No! It's in anticipation of what is to come. The world is about to be taken by storm by Ndigbo. But we must play our own by remaining steadfast on the part of independent thinking and same mindedness.
You're a clown I swear. I support NOI 100% for that position but you lost me at Igbos campaigned for trump. Hahaha. Can you tell me how many Igbos are U.S citizens? Of what use is the campaign. Youre just typing nonsense. I'm Yoruba and Igbos are great no doubt. Very entrepreneurial. But to be honest Igbos no sabi anything about politics and can't campaign for anybody. Them never even finish campaign for themselves in Nigeria grin So for your mind now, na Igbos elect trump. GTFOH mehn

Congrats to Laycon. Im truly happy for him and I supported him all the way esp since he is an underdog. But Nigeria is a waste soon to turn 60. A country cannot thrive on entertainment alone. Every youth now wants to be a singer, Instagram celeb and comedian. Who will be the doctors? who will be design the roads? Who will teach in schools? If I was a youth and I was smart I won't even near medical school except my goal is to practice outside. Can someone remind me how much doctors make in Nigeria again?

Politics › Re: 800 Houses To Go As Lagos Proposes $2.2 Billon For 4th Mainland Bridge by 12inchess: 3:33am On Sep 30, 2020
deomelo:
The topic is actually 800 Houses To Go As Lagos Proposes $2.2 Billon For 4th Mainland Bridge, not vehicular congestion.

If you can not engage in a sane back and forth discussion, just say so, not need to keep dancing around, faking topics and making your own rules, it doesn't work that way, this is a discussion forum, not your own forum where you dictate the rules or move goal posts just because you can not formulate sane and rational thoughts

It's common sense that traffic congestion is a manifestation of human congestion, it's also common sense that people drive from so many locations and points within the city just to get to the same bridge heading into and out od the city and when you crate alternate entry and exit points, you effectively reduce and divert traffic within the city.

Do you not drive through the city to get to the bridge? You ever imagine how many drivers doing the same thing at the same time?

Do you know how many drivers take side roads and short cuts within the city to dodge traffic and get to the bridge faster than other drivers?

I don't know why this is a foreign concept to you, it's just common sense, I'd understand if the issue here is the road in front of your house, but we are talking about major roads that tens of thousands of people are riding to get to the gridges from island to mainland or vise versa.

You are getting redundant for me, I think I'm wasting my time here.
It's evident that you don't understand how traffic operates. If you build more bridges, essentially what you have done is shifted the problem the people will still choke up the inner city with even more cars. Traffic planning and engineering has moved beyond building more roads and fly overs. This is the 21st century and that is not the way to go. Auto vehicle mileage reduction per person i.e vmt reduction should be the goal of a city as dense a Lagos. It is cheaper and more sustainable. I remember when Lekki toll bridge was opened. Initially it was okay people didn't want to pay the toll but as time went by, people now pay that that money but as it reduced island traffic? NO. It's still a cluster mess. It just shifted the traffic deeper into Ikoyi and Dolphin area. A good light rail, bus service with good comfort etc will make many people abandon their cars and free up the roads. Do you know that in the U.S the average utility of vehicles is 1.1 people per auto that is why traffic in many U.S cities is a cluster mess. But many of the cities are now getting sense and embracing transit but it's a little too late. We still have the chance to get this right in Lagos. Look at Europe, Canada, Germany, Singapore, Australia, Korea, France even U.K That is the kind of traffic management we should be emulating.

This is a bloody waste of 2.2 billion dollars. How do I know? This is my field. I'm on my way to getting a PhD. With 2.2 billion dollars you can avoid the mistakes made in the U.S and build a city with traffic like in Singapore and in Europe. More cars mean more money for the auto companies right but what we really need in Lagos is sustainable transportation. Expand the BRT service. Introduce public transit. Fund mass commuter traffic to the island. You can achieve all this with that kind of money. Another bridge will soon get filled up with more cars and trust me the traffic never ends. Soon some Lagosians will purchase self driving cars and it will make the traffic even way worse in 10 to 15 years time. You think it's impossible? Just wait and see. Nigerians like Ego trips.

I'd add this picture to prove my point that a city as dense as Lagos does not need another 3rd mainland bridge. This is just and avenue to...... you know the rest.

For all those calling Ozo a simp for showing genuine love to his love interest Nengi, I just want to remind you not everyone was raised in a disfunctional home like yours ok. He was well raised in a loving, God fearing and organised home unlike yours. He was well raised to genuinely show love to his woman and to respect women.

Hide your faces in your disorganized disfunctional homes and allow a well brought up guy to love his woman in peace. Not everyone is unlucky like y'all.
If you call that showing respect to woman then what can I say. A simp is not a man. A simp is a simp. grin If not for simplemindeness, how will a man go for a show where the stakes are 85 million naira. If 1 naira was 1 dollar, nobody would really care. But when you earn in naira and save in naira, isn't the value of your savings in the real world affected every time the naira depreciates? Cos the naira depreciates in relation to another currency. Exam fees priced in dollars, imported products priced in dollars and anything originally priced in dollars, you need more naira to buy those things. The other day, someone mentioned that price of weavons she imports from China have now increased.
This is my concern. Why not just keep all my investment in dollars since naira has been cursed to always fall.

If you earn in Naira and most of your transactions are in Naira, the impact is less. The impact is worse for someone who brings in $10,000 at N160 around 2014 and wants to repatriate 6 years later at N450. My point is that, there was no need to convert so much into naira in the first place if you do not have a strong need for it in naira.
This is not true. Most things in Nigeria are priced relatively to dollar esp as Nigeria produces nothing except unrefined oil. If you want to buy a car now or a phone it cost because of the forex. If u want to go on a vacation won't u pay the equivalent of your air ticket in foreign currency?
