Coming from a former hardcore betting guru.

I normally don't do this but I think someone needs to hear this.

This is an advice to anyone that may be rethinking starting this shit, to pls flee away(japa) cos this shit is a f*"king devil's scheme to destroy you... I still regret placing my first bet. First it makes you win big, makes you think there's actually an easy-quick way of making money after all, gives you hope and joy and later takes it back after you start loosing, which is inevitable, you start placing much more money, all your savings and later loans which you may think you can win big again and pay back but you won't, getting you into all kinds of trouble, making you sell valuables just to pay back, gaining nothing at long last except sorrows, frustration and regrets. pls never start betting cos it's like nothing you've ever done before... and If you still bet or gamble in any form pls do your best to stop before it's too late.

Remember there's nothing like sure odds in betting and no matter how big you win you will slowly and inevitably loose each and every penny one way or the other.

God be with us.
No cap!!! I'm really glad you're freed from the shackles of betting smiley

Apologies for the late response. I've been offline for some months now.

Seeing that this was posted over a month ago, I'd like to think the issue has been solved. Nevertheless, here is what I'd recommend:

Get ES File explorer and scan your internal storage for useful+ redundant files occupying precious storage space.

Things to note:

1. redundant files like caches and thumbnails take considerable space. I've seen thumbnails in DCIM running into over 1GB on the internal storage

2. Unless you've cleared APP DATA before uninstallation, data of uninstalled apps are not completely deleted from phone whenever apps are uninstalled. Don't be surprised, some app data are multiple times larger than the apps they belong to.

Do not clear App data of an app you intend to re install unless you don't mind loosing files of that app and starting over with the said app.
Oh dear, thank you sooo much for your response.. Compliments, I do hope you're doing well..

That issue got me sooo frustrated cos it got to a point where I had to start clearing app caches immediately after using each app.. One time, I said to myself "for howww lonnngg will I continue to do thiss" then I had no other choice than to factory reset it(as suggested by a nairalander here, a few others too).. I think someone suggested ES file explorer as well but I didn't quite understand how to go about it.. You've thrown more light to it, thank youuu.. I really do appreciate smiley

Compliments Doctor, hope you're doing well.. Please I do need your help.. For 5 days but mostly nights, my 14months old daughter has been having coughing fits where sometimes she pants and gasps for air, I dunno I'm at loss at what to do about this, I have googled about this but I can't really pin it on something..

The fact that it only happens at night orrr mostly, the severity.. She barely eats cos even when I try to make her eat at night, she starts coughing and sometimes throws up all the food, I dunno if it triggers something but I'm really worried.. About 2weeks ago, she was treated for malaria and typhoid, say 3days ago I gave her Pyrantrin for worms cos she's always picking stuff and sometimes put them in her mouth plus it's been 3months I last dewormed her..

For the cough I dunno what to do, most times sneezing follows and it often gets to the point of runny nose(at nights, very rare during the day) coughing non-stop I feel sooo sorry for her, I can't really get to the hospital cos of the whole covid situation.. Please help, I do anticipate your response.. Thank youuu in advance

Copy out the things you need from the phone to your memory card, then remove your simcards and memory card. Good to settings - System - Advanced - Reset options - Factory reset
Then after the reset, setup the phone and put your simcards and memory card. Then go to to settings again, select storage and select the option of external storage or memory card as you main storage
Thank you sooo much, I really do appreciate.. I'll certainly do that and give you a feedback soon.

Update: I did the factory reset on my phone and it's working fine now.. chuksvoice nwanne mmadu, daalu rinne smiley

Back up your data and do a factory reset, then set the memory card as main storage to prevent such problems happening

If the Facebook app is a system app then you won't be able to uninstal it but if otherwise then it's safe to uninstal. Whenever I buy a device I always uninstal apps I don't need. No harm in that as long as the uninstal button can be clicked on.
Thank you too

There are two types of apps that come installed by default. System apps and User apps. While the latter can be uninstalled by just clicking the 'Uninstall' button without problems, the former would require a system level priviledge offered through root and other apps

Uninstalling system apps can lead to problems unless they are bloatwares.
Alright, thanks alot

Sure you can uninstall the Facebook app if you ain't using it. To create space try and download Es file explorer, open it and click on analyze... This will show you every single file on your device and from there you can delete unnecessary files.
Okay, so you mean I can really uninstall the Facebook app without facing any issues later? I thought we are not to uninstall any app that was originally installed on the phone by default

I'm glad that helped.

You thought I know so much about phones because I'm a certified smartphone & laptop technician grin .

Concerning the pop up whenever her data is on, tell her to search on playstore and download an ADBLOCKER. That will prevent the ad from coming up.

Or she could give the phone to someone who would help identify the app with the intrusive ad and either disable or uninstall it if possible.
Oh okay, that's cool. It's not ads jare, viruses were written into the RAM compartment of the phone by its Chinese manufacturers. We in Nigeria will say 'the phone don expire', I think it has served its purpose and it's time to throw it in the bin. For her, it's "Get a new phone O' Clock" and she says Infinix is a no no no, Tecno too. I don't blame her jare, I've used both and it wasn't funny at all.

Now this is interesting! Tell her to screenshot her power schedule menu under option OR I don't believe... grin

... that the presence of a memory card... Sdcard better still microsd card can really turn on a powered off phone.

Before people claim bad sdcard. No matter how bad it is, it can't initiate a power on command. The worst it can do is freeze the phone while on or prevent it from powering on.

In addition, ask her whether the power button has been worked on...

I look forward to reading from you.

MODIFICATION:

Your question: what could be the problem?

My answer(s]:
1. Faulty power button

2. Power scheduler in action

Possible solution(s]
Disable every alarm
Disable any power scheduler if any.
Visit a technician to have the power button checked.
Wow, you really know so much about phones. You won't believe it was really a faulty power button. She said the phone wasn't charging again and it wasn't turning on too. She dumped the phone after crying her eyes out. To cut it short sha, she took it to a technician who said it was a faulty power button and also an IC problem. He worked on the phone and she says it's working perfectly now except the hardware viruses that keeps popping up whenever her data is on, makes the phone hang too. She has learnt to delete the viruses whenever they pop up til she's able to get a new phone. She says sometimes she feels like smashing the phone on the wall or stamping her foot on it but then she's got no other one for now.

Thank you sooo much for your help, we really appreciate

My cousin uses an infinix hot 3 phone and she got a 32gb sd card recently but whenever she inserts the SD card, her phone turns on even when she turns it off. The phone just come on without her switching it on by herself, thereby running down her battery and it doesn't allow her charge it properly. She's practically losing her mind, please what could possibly be the problem?

The boils actually should be allowed to burst on their own. The reason for draining becomes necessary if it is causing unbearable pains and sleep disturbances. Like I said before, this will be a child in the nearest future you all will watch with smile watching him less disturbed by boils as she grows. This will only be possible if you stay continuously on management for the now.
For the cough and cold, it will also pass being as a result of low down on functional immunity, stress or organic. The Cefuroxime is okay, other things remain equal. As for the coconut oil, make it yourself from the fruit. Go and get this homeopathic product, Visita Plus. Get the made coconut oil and press in some volume(not much) of Visita plus in to the container having the oil. Mix thoroughly and apply daily as a pomade on her skin, report back to me in one week.
I can't thank you enough Doctor.. Your kind is rare, we need more of you in this world. I will, thank you

Alright. This boil formation recurrency is due to Staphylococcal infection. But it will be something she will get over as she grows. However, for the now management will require your:
1) Use pain reliever such as Emzor liquid paracetamol to reduce pain and temperature.
2) Expose body to aeration.
3) Application of coconut oil may help
4) Draining the boil should be carefully to avoid spreading of agent into deeper tissues.
5) Continue with the Ampiclox neonate oral drops.
6) See doctor soon as this corona virus situation comes down a bit for proper care and support.
Thank you sooo much Doctor, we really do appreciate. Just got off the line with my friend and she told me that the boils at the back of lo's neck finally bursted on its own. Meanwhile, I did a bit of research on it during leisure time today. Just as you diagnosed, it has something to do with a bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus). It is a skin abcess, the fact that the furuncles(boils) moves from one part to another is the annoying part. It is only when the boils move to lo's head that we can drain it out otherwise it keeps moving from one part to another part of her torso.

Number 1, we ensure that she's given pain reliever once she's in pain or running high temperature. Number 2 eh, lo has even caught cold (cough and catarrh) as a result of that sef, they just got Vitamin C drops for her. We'll definitely try number 3, we're always careful of number 4. Number 5, she's already taken 2 bottles of it yet no good result, I was able to speak with another friend of mine who is a nurse she suggested we go for cefuroxime since she's 4months+ what do you think doctor, 2.5mls okay for 5days? Sure we'll see a doctor as soon as the pandemic blows over. Thanks once again, God bless you

Apart from the boil recurrency, was she born with any health problem?
Thanks for your response Dr. We haven't taken her to see another doctor, we wanted to do that few weeks back but corona came into town so we didn't know what to do. No, she wasn't born with any health problem
HealthRe: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by 1F30M4(f): 6:27pm On Mar 25, 2020
Doctors in the house, a friend's baby is having sooo much boils, it has become a really disturbing situation. The little one(lo) started having these boils some days before she turned 3months. We initially thought it had something to do with teething cos she was having teething rash, drooling, pulling at her cheeks, nose, hair and ears, high body temperature and swollen itchy gums. The boils were persistent even after the pus was drained out, she was then given ampiclox neonate oral drops which was said to last for 5days. She's 4months+ now, the boils reduced or so we thought only for it to come back some weeks back. Initially, it started on her jaw then moved to her upper back, neck, head and lower back. We got some penicillin for the boils, but it didn't go away. We thought it was heat cos the weather was really very very very hot and lo was always sweating excessively that she had to have a change every 3/4hrs. She won't sleep during the day and won't sleep at night either just crying, pulling at her face and trying to scratch off the boils. We eventually took her to the hospital, they didn't even examine the boils they just said we should buy one mixture and rub it on the 'kokoro'. They didn't even want to listen to us, they felt like we shouldn't try to tell them how to do their job they know sooo well. We were pissed, bought the mixture and ran malaria test for the excessive sweating, high body temperature and fever, result came out negative though. The mixture contains coconut oil, sulfur and c-base, we were sceptical about using it but we later decided to give it a try since we've done all we could. Lo cries sooo much when we apply it, it must have been very harsh for her body so we stopped and trashed the mixture. The boils have gotten to her chest now but all the boils seem to be draining into the one at the back of her neck cos its increasing in size by the day, we tried draining it out but to no avail. The boils keep moving to different parts of her body, the back of her ears, her hand now her left outer ear, some of it later drain into the big boils at the back of her neck. Her parents are practically losing their mind, they don't know what else to do. Hospital is a no no for now until COVID-19 blows off. It really hurts seeing lo in sooo much pain, she cries everytime when bathing, eating, she can't lie down or even play with anyone just tears, tearss and more tearsss cry cry cry Please do you know what can be done about this? Please help, she's such a sweet little girl.
