franchasofficia: The only true Nigerian billionaire on that list is this young man, the rest there are Nigerian corrupt federal government made billionaires, that is why you didn't see any Igbo man there and that is why they are ready to kill to make sure no Igbo man become Nigeria's President because they know how they have been corruptly siphoning Niger Delta crude oil to enrich their tribesmen, friends and loyal cronies since the military era.
Wale Adenuga was made rich by IBB
Aliko Dangote is just a placeholder for most ex Nigerian heads of states who have been using him to hide their loots.
Rabiu I don't have much information about him but I don't trust his origin either.
Femi Otedola became rich through politics, his father was a former Lagos state Governor for those that don't know, and he was broke and owing huge loan that AMCON was on his trail and he ran away to Ghana until Goodluck Jonathan became President and forgave him and returned him back from exile in Ghana, that was how he bounced back and started getting richer and richer through oil deals.
Otedola and Dangote used to be sworn enemies around 2000s to 2006 when they were having issues with Dangote using his brother Rabiu to venture into oil business.
But you see this Yoruba man that founded Calendry, he is a true innovative young man that deserve his billionaire tag, the rest on this list are politically made billionaires all thanks to corrupt past and present Nigerian Military Heads of states and civilian Presidents.
You can quote me anywhere any day, I no send your Papa.
As for the hungry, poverty stricken youths celebrating the fact that their corrupt Presidents have been busy enriching a few of their tribesmen through dirty oil/gas/FOREX dealings to the detriment of their own future, I have nothing to tell you paupers, your reality outside the internet will teach you all hard truth about life, so continue celebrating your corrupt government made fake billionaires without any genuine innovation or invention. You go explain tire.

UyaiIncomparabl: What kind of girls do they give 250k for hair? Most of the girls these guys splurge on to buy hair and the other whatnots don't even look facially better than her. I don't think a girl has to be facially outstanding for a dude to splurge on her or I just may be mistaken. If you had mentioned "sophisticated", then maybe. I mean, anyone can be dressed or painted up to look sophisticated, even an almajiri girl. Does not make her less outstanding than her fellow slayqueens who could be painted up to look better. You know the kind of features Nigerian men go gaga over, light skin, big behind, big front, clear skin. Then again, if she has a BF that can give her that amount of money just for hair, why venture into this? Then look at that environment, nothing about her screams my "BF gives me 250 k for hair" |

geezville86: From another angle, this looks like a sound tax avoidance strategy which for all intents and purposes is completely legal. Before re-marrying, the woman would have been untethered from the disadvantages associated with reporting family income for folks with spouses, while also taking advantage of any tax credits/benefits for an infirm dependant.
In any case, she has done well by her husband in providing him with all the care he needs. !!! You see it too? She claims she wants to take care of him, but why is the man now in a nursing home? She'll soon abandon him altogether while simultaneously reaping the benefits of her ' adopted child' |

1972xy: Our women should learn a lesson from this story. The woman must had been disobeying her husband in time past not to be attending that church at the detriment of her home. She would not cook. She would not care for the children. She would not perform her conjugal right with her husband. War ! You're mad. So why didn't he leave her instead of commiting murder? So a woman needs to die because she disobeyed her husband? Is he God?! |

jayce232: I think u people are getting this wrong When has resemblance become same as framing someone? People are only saying there is resemblance, I haven't seen anyone expressly saying he Fathered the baby? They are two different things. Someone can say my brother's baby look like me, it is different from I fathered the baby. You people are mixing this up. False accusation is different from this case They didn't just say Mercy's baby looked like him, they told her hubby to do a DNA test. What is that supposed to mean? Most men want to hear that their kids look like them. Its Mercy and her hubby I feel sorry for. This has likely made things awkward between them. After causing a ripple, the cowards are now hiding behind a joke. |

Capernum: Hmmm
But are we saying we can't trust women at all? Regardless of who they are when there are no signs of infidelity at all?
I beleive this recent controversies surrounding paternity fraud and DNA bail out will do more harm than good to the society at large.
I can imagine the recent atmosphere in the homes of Nathaniel Bassey and Mercy Chinwo, even if there has been trust before, it will reduce by at least 0.1%.
All these things we read on the internet on the current paternity fraud discovery is not only scary but disturbing.
What if my daughter is not mine after all? Isn't. I better that I don't find out till I die? Than have a crazy experience that will distort my life forever?
Just thinking out loud. But I feel for the two homes sha.
Those X terrorists must be fished out and dealt with as soon as possible.
My prayer for married men... I just pray God will shine his light in our homes and let us not labour in vain at the same time. If I speak, they'll shut me down and say I'm defending my genders' immorality. What is with this sudden consciousness and paranoia of DNA tests in Nigeria? As it stands right now only the 1% of the 1% of Nigerians do DNA tests and I'm sure the sparse amount of labs in Nigeria that offer these tests will benefit from more patronage. I know they're getting ready to jump on me, but let me put this disclaimer. Do I believe men should have the right to DNA testing, yes ofcourse? Should it be mandatory? YES. |

Negroid001: Anyone one who hasn't raised kids don't know how draining it is. 2 years before childbirth is okay. Let the couple enjoy themselves first. Kids require lots of hard work and supervision. It usually rubs off on the woman. Most women would pick their kids over their husbands. The woman knows what she's talking about. Surprised to see you agree with me |

Why do Nigerian men always want kids right away? You will suffer it, wifeys attention will be divided. |

Dsimmer: I'm not talking about Egusi (Egusi is a Yoruba name btw) but Apon which also has a proverb for it in Yoruba proverbs..
Secondly, Ogbon means nothing in Igbo language.
Thirdly, Apon was one of the delicacies introduced by Ajayi Crowther to the Igbos. Ogbon was corrupted from Apon since Igbo couldn't pronunce Apon. What does egusi mean in yoruba language? Can anybody lay claim it since its eaten all over Africa? |
Food › Re: Igbo Soups All Nigerian Tribes Enjoy by 1Sharon(f): 12:49pm On Apr 02, 2024 |
Emlproperties: Egusi is found in all parts of West Africa. Perhaps the Yoruba's might have used the grinded seed for cakes of all kinds. But those who made use of it for soup are the Igbos. You can tell from the manners it's cooked.
Ogbono is pure Igbo soup don't go there. Even the word and style of cooking is Igbotic. Of course you lots might have eaten it as fruit and in preparing medicine but the soup is Igbo. All tribes eat the fruit and not just Igbo and Yoruba, but the soup is Igbo. Did you read the comment at all? Ogbono is called Apon in yoruba, and it's called tola in Sierra Leone. How the fvck can you lay origins to it when they're both eaten as soup?? |

How can it be igbo, when it's all over west and central Africa? Some of you are just self-absorbed. Even ewedu that people think is exclusive to yorubas is eaten all over Africa under different names, did you know that? |

franugo: There's several comments belittling and castigating both husband and wife. You also fail to catch that no one told the woman to cook, the man simply said he told his wife that he misses her cooking and she decided to hit the kitchen, i don't know why you people are crying more than the bereaved And so what? Why didn't he insist that she relax? Why didn't he order food or at least help? I've just watched the video and that joke makes him seem much worse, why make a self-centered joke like that? He thought about himself while his wife was delivering his baby |

franugo: Obviously you haven't thought this thru...so by your statement, a woman should not comment on topics for men abi? If it's a situation women can never experience like being kicked in the balls then yes. Do you see us trying to belittle and diminish your pain like men do for childbirth? |
Family › Re: Man Hails Wife For Cooking For Him A Day After Returning From Child Birth by 1Sharon(f): 10:05am On Apr 01, 2024 |
franugo: Where's the hypocrisy? Did i ever say i experienced firsthand childbirth? Your analogy is so flawed i don't even know where to begin, plus i don't even see the correlation to the op Obviously you haven't, so why then are you commenting on other women like yourself that haven't experienced childbirth? The point is, just because you can, doesn't mean you should. |
Family › Re: Man Hails Wife For Cooking For Him A Day After Returning From Child Birth by 1Sharon(f): 10:03am On Apr 01, 2024 |
franugo: My opinion has always been the same, the lady obviously was not forced, her husband loves her and she loves her husband, what gives you people here the right to curse or belittle her If one's childbirth experience was traumatising, there's other women who didn't have traumatising childbirths so why the hate? If you say it's because the woman is encouraging your man to treat you differently even when your experience was worse, then that's on you for marrying a foolish man, not on anyone else. I only see one or two comments belittling her, most of the heat is being directed to the husband. The husband is not a gentleman. Couldn't he cook for one day or at least order food as a treat if he couldn't afford a push gift? |
Family › Re: Man Hails Wife For Cooking For Him A Day After Returning From Child Birth by 1Sharon(f): 9:39am On Apr 01, 2024 |
franugo: I'm obviously a man but i know several women that have experienced childbirth. I have been to the hospital for a friend after childbirth. Some ladies that have gone thru it have come out to say that the op is not a new thing, that they have also experienced something similar but some children here are trying to shut them up. I can bet you that several people lambasting them have not gone thru childbirth. Some of you here make it seem like all men are heartless creatures, imagine what some foolish girls are posting in the pages. Personally, i wouldn't let my wife cook for a couple of weeks, even if she wanted to, but that's a moot point anyway as i did most of the cooking when she was in Nigeria and I'm good with that. What you people should understand is that we have different strokes for different folks. Do you see your hypocrisy? You haven't experienced childbirth and you never will, so who the hell are you to speak on childbirth as If your experience is more valid than those other women that also haven't experience childbirth? Are you the only person with friends that have given birth? Don't pretend like you haven't seen other men up there equally lambasting him. What are your words for them? The husbands lacks courtesy period. A commenter here gave the perfect analogy, imagine going to a hospital and asking to eat the patients food, some of them might be okay with it, does that mean you should do it? |
