What transpired today between the minister of labour, Senator Chris Ngige and the member representing Ikeja federal constituency at the lower chamber of the national assembly, Hon. James Abiodun Faleke is a show of arrogance and ungratefulness on the part of the minister.


Ngige was a puppet Governor of Anambra state installed by the then 36 year old Andy Uba who later orchestrated the famous kidnap attempt on him when he refused to play ball. Rumour had it that he hid in a toilet where he called for help before Tafa Balogun sent the state commissioner of police to go rescue him.

Ngige was later removed by the Court while Peter Obi took over as the Governor. The Ubas eventually ran Ngige out of the PDP. Few months later, he found solace in the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), single handedly founded and funded by the lion of Burdillon.
On the platform of the ACN, he staged a comeback by winning a senatorial election, it's his good fortune on Tinubu platform that makes him one of the APC bigwigs from the south east after ACN merged with others to form APC.


At party level, it is safe to say that Tinubu has been political leader to Ngige since 2003 to date. While Tinubu has won all his elections in Lagos state, Ngige remains the one and only Governor to be abducted in the history of Nigeria.

Ngige lost his re - election to the Senate, getting less than 25% of all votes caste, he has remain a political paper weight in Anambra, while Tinubu is a force to reckon with in Nigeria's political landscape.


Politically or otherwise, Senator Chris Ngige is not fit to lace Tinubu's shoes. Tinubu remains his benefactor and a national leader in the APC where Ngige belong.

The Ikwerre is/isnt Igbo question is a question where everyone will answer for himself. Personally I don't believe I'm Igbo. Amaechi believes he's an Igbo. Uche Okwukwu believes same. Maybe Mercy believes she is Igbo.

Language and culture wise, Ikwerre satisfies all Igbo parameters. But my case in point is my ancestry. I'm among the clans that trace ancestry to Akalaka. So Benin is my point of origin.


Some Ikwerres migrated from Awka, some from Etche, some from Aro. I know some that even have Ijaw connections. So make everybody decide for himself.
