You're very wrong. Every educated person (irrespective of belief) knows religion is important. I moved from being atheist to being agnostic and I have always known the social function of religion in the society, not least the sense of direction it provides to believers. That does not vitiate the many evils of religion. Mark Z never said he is now a believer from the statement, he merely recognizes the important place religion has in society and to believers. You can google the importance of religion to help you understand what I am saying.
