I think the next stage is to get every elected person from SE/SS to sign some kind of pledge of allegiance to support this struggle or be removed or be killed if he/she refuses. This will be followed by tendering of a bill for the full implementation of federalism or division of the country in the senate. If you ever served (NYSC) in rural areas you would have seen this. These teachers continue to promote students just so that they can write WAEC and leave the school.

There are many schools that teach subjects in native languages. I saw this in a state capital in the SE which is not even a rural area. So it is not a new thing however shameful it is.

Am actually see this as a great opportunity for Nigeria right now to get off oil. years ago it took Obj to deny lagos state its monthly allocation for the state to begin to think internally and today Lagos is the only state that does not need FG allocation to survive and pay its workers regularly. Rubbish! Federal government built Lagos decades ago. Collecting taxes and rate from Lagosians is not a rocket science. FGN built 2 biggest airports in Nigeria in Lagos, 3 sea ports, every govt agency and ministry headquarters, 6 multi billion naira bridges, most of the highways, national stadiums, national theaters, headquarters of oil and gas companies, cities like Ikoyi, Ikeja, V. Island, industrial estates, housing estates, embassies, major industries, major hotels, even connected it with a gas pipeline etc.

What state will have all those and fail to collect the tax?

One of the major losers from this policy are Yorubas. Their smuggling and diversion of fuel to Benin Republic is over. That's why they're always the first to protest against subsidy.

Government should even put VAT on the price of fuel....something like 10%. In UK I pay about N530 naira for a litre of fuel. Lazy Nigerians with two cars should know what is takes to rock like a big boy.

I went to Alagbole in 2013 to see which company to supply me blocks for a big project around the area. I was shocked by the quality of blocks at every of the 10 places I visited. The blocks are so fragile that a 10 year old can not stand on them without dissolving into dust.

This is no tribal issue, I think Yorubas must have a rethink with the kwa kwa kwa mentality when it comes to handwork. In contrast, I bought all the blocks I used for all my projects in the east from block vendors. Why are most building collapse in Nigeria disproportionately in the Ogun-Lagos axis?

’Igbo domination of Nigeria is only a matter of time’- Charles Onyeama, a prominent igbo lawyer and member of the Central Legislative Council, 1945. (Pg. 204 ‘Ethnic Politics In Kenya and Nigeria’ by Godfrey Mwakikagile). ‘It would appear that the God of Africa has created the Igbo nation to lead the children of Africa from the bondage of ages …’ – Dr Azikiwe, President of the Pan-Igbo Federal Union. (The West African Pilot of July 8, 1949).
The first statement from Charles Onyeama, which was made in 1945, was the first overtly tribal and divisive comment that was made and recorded in the politics of southern Nigeria in our history. That is where and when tribalism in the south actually started.
After that comment and as a direct reaction to it, the yoruba established the ”Egbe Omo Oduduwa” to further and protect yoruba interests and after that came the formation of the Action Group in 1948.


The second statement from Zik, which was made in 1949 (and which clearly shows that the great Zik of Africa had forgotten that the NCNC was not an igbo party at the beginning and that it had in fact been established by an upper class and very well educated yoruba man by the name of Sir Herbert Macauly, one of the famous ”Black Victorians” from the Lagos Colony, and who, at his death bed, was gracious enough to hand over the leadership of the party to him even though he was igbo) confirmed that tribalism was here to stay in the south and that ever since that time the igbo had an agenda to dominate others. This sentiment and this unfortunate igbocentric attitude is what cost Zik the Premiership of the Western Region in 1953 when the NCNC narrowly lost to the Action Group.
It is clear from this that if you want to know who started tribalism in southern politics and the politics of the southern protectorate of Nigeria it was not the yoruba or the southern minorities but the igbo. The excesses of the Igbo State Union and their treatment of the southern minorities and the yoruba from 1943 till 1967 was completely unacceptable. The rest of the south were prepared to accept the igbo as equals with open arms but they were not prepared to be politically dominated or conquered by them.
Worst still the first coup in the history of Nigeria, which was the Jan 15th 1966 coup d’etat led by Major Ifejuana and Major Kaduna Nzeogwu, was essentially an igbo coup and an igbo grab for power. I say this because 95 per cent of those that took part in it were igbo and 99 per cent of the political and military leaders that were brutally murdered during it’s execution were non-igbo. It was this coup and it’s sheer brutality that led to the even more brutal northern officers counter-coup of July 1966 (in which 300 igbo officers were killed in one night including the igbo Head of State, Gen. Aguiyi-Ironsi, and his yoruba host, the Military Governor of the Western Region, Gen. Adekunle Fajuyi who sought to protect him), the pogrom of igbos in the north (in which over 100,000 igbo civilians were killed in a few weeks) and the Nigerian civil war (in which 2 million Nigerians and Biafrans died). These are the facts of our history. Live and learn.
If you want to know who introduced tribalism into southern politics, it was the igbo. If you want to know who carried out the first coup in our country it was the igbo. Having done the painstaking research over a number of years these are my findings and this is my conclusion.

How did a Kenyan get hold of a statement made by Igboman in 1945 and no Nigerian knew about it? FFK had to quote a Kenyan, but had no other reference in Nigeria? Do you know that Nigeria was run by the white man until 1960? Do you know that Nigeria was a regional system with full autonomy of the regions? No Igboman made such statement, or at best it was a statement from a beer parlour which people always make.

FKK is a tribalist with rabbid obsession with anything Igbo. They said he has always hired Igbo cooks and never misses Calaber/Igbo food. This is information from someone that slept under his roof for 5 yrs.

That of Zik is nothing to respond to. It is even a credit for him. This is the kind of statement that comes in a speech to motivate your people to strive harder. That is why every culture has a religion and believes that the world originated from them. The purpose is to uplift their spirit.
