Imo state produces 6% of Nigerian’s 2.9 million barrels of oil per day. That is 174,000 bpd. When oil was $130, that amounted to $22.6 million per day and $8.3B a year. Today, oil is $50 that means Imo State is generating £8.7 million per day. That is $3.2B per year. Abia State produces a lot more, Anambra a little less. The whole of south south produce almost 75% of the remaining, running into tens of billions of dollars.
Now, how much do all the Yoruba states contribute to the running of Nigeria? We in the east and south south are subsidizing both lazy Hausas and lazy party loving Yorubas. You guys should be grateful for ones to those that are paying the bill. Little Imo state is more useful for Nigeria than half of Yoruba states financially.

My belief is that there is a supreme entity or being, something that governs the universe. However, I don't believe that supreme being is the supreme being of religions.

My life became more meaningful after I banished Abrahamic religion's concept of god in it in the year 2000. After my first year of study in Europe, I started questioning everything, seeking answers for most of the things we take for granted in Nigeria. I deliberately took all my elective courses from faculties of theology and philosophy. After courses like epistemology, philosophy of science, creation narratives, logic, history of religion, anthropology of religion and philosophy of religion, my eyes got opened. When you finish a course like epistemology or theories of knowledge, you would think twice before using terms like "The GOD I KNOW" which is common in Nigeria.

Religion in Nigeria is pure business. Never give your money to no pastor. If a pastor need anything he should ask it from god as he advises you to do. Why ask you for your last card when he can ask god to give him? You all know why.....no god gives money.

How is it that when pastors need something they ask the followers and the church to make donation and contribution, but when a member needs something, they will ask him/her to pray to God.

Why can't the pastor pray to God for whatever need, instead of asking you to give him your last card.

One thing that no one even considers is the effect of such cars. A pastor in America stated that he drives an electric car to save the environment. Our Nigerian pastors will spend 20 million on a luxury car to look good rather than spending bout 8 million on a fue efficient and environmental friendly car.

If Tinubu has any honour left, he would have gone to court. He instead chose to write a feeble petition to NBC, which is admission of guilt.
