Hi brethren.

I was going somewhere to get something and I needed to make a huge payment to acquire that thing. Now, sometimes If I want to get something, I do pray that the holy spirit should give me a sign whether or not to go ahead with it.

So along the line, as we were heading to the sales point, I hit my right foot against a stone. It was so bad that people around chorused their sorry.

At first I didn't give it a thought but later I became worried and didn't go through with the transaction. So I googled and found out hitting ones foot is usually a bad sign that the journey will end up badly if the person doesn't retract from it. That I already did.

Now, my question is, as a Christian ( bornagain) should I be worried about such superstitious belief?

Should I have gone ahead to acquire that thing, waving off the warning signs?

Should a Christian adhere to these signs? Cos I realized by the time I sluggishly went back to get it, it was already sold out.

Good day Nairalanders, I don't know how to place the subject of what transpire ystday but just read and share your thoughts.
I am a driver working with one of the e-hailing companies (BOLT). Ystday by 7pm I got a request from Bera estate by Chevron drive to one hotel close to Skymall at Sangotedo. When I got to the pick up zone it was a guy and his babe. They look so young so I didn't know they were married at first.
Before picking them I was playing a Phil Collins track (You'll be here in my heart).

When they boarded, the guy said I should change the song to something more upbeat which I did. When we got to Mega Chicken opposite Askamaya Hotel, there was a heavy traffic as usual that comes all the way from Ajah Bridge so we were moving slowly. Before we got to VGC traffic light, hubby's phone rang and he picked it. After the normal hello he asked who's on the line? And the caller answered it's me Aisha cus I got to know when he said whose Aisha. It seems Aisha at the other end was telling him why are you pretending not to know my voice bcus I called with unknown number after you refused picking my lines. Hubby was adamant, pls I don't know you and I am with my wife and he cut the call.

By this time I have reduced the volume of my radio, so wifey was asking him who's that? He said he doesn't know who she was. Wifey said are you sure and he said yes. Not long after the number called again and hubby picked and said pls leave me alone I don't know you.
As Wifey wanted to collect the phone from him, hubby cut the call. Wifey was somehow angry but kept her cool. Not long after again same number called again, but before hubby could say anything Wifey collected the phone from him and picked the call. And then put it on speaker for both hubby and me to hear.

She then calmly said hello, I am the wife of the person you are trying to call how may I help you. Aisha too calmly said, pls don't be offended give the phone to the owner he's the one I want to speak to. With this, Wifey provoke and started shouting at her. Who the hell are you to tell me who you want to talk to? All this while hubby moved a bit to my side and was trying to explain to me: driver see me see wahala o, person say him no know you and you dey insist. Which kind problem be this. I didn't say any word to whatever he was saying cus he has distracted me from hearing the main gist between his wife and Aisha.
And by this time Wifey has off the loudspeaker and was now listening to the other caller carefully and silently. After some minutes of careful listening she cuts the call and burst into tears. Hubby tried to get close to her and ask what's wrong, she shouted don't touch me. After some more sobbing, she voiced out: Andrew (not real name) why, Andrew why are you doing this to me? We are barely 2 months into our marriage and you have started cheating on me. Andrew retorted back, honey what are you saying? I don't know her, don't believe whatever she's saying, that's a home wrecker.

Wifey replied back while sobbing, you don't know her but she knows your name and your best friend's name you use to hang out with. And you guys even hang out with her and friends just last week, Andrew why, why?
Hubby started explaining that doesn't know her, maybe it was one of the girls my friend use to carry along when we hang out. Wifey said she has heard enough and he should just let her be for the time being. With that Wifey place her head at the side glass of where she was sitting and continued sobbing slowly.
Hubby now confused and don't know what next to do or say just sat bewildered, I was watching them both from my inner mirror. After about 5 min total silence and us approaching Ajah Bridge, hubby came close to my ears and told me to look for that Phil Collins song I played earlier when I came to pick them. I nodded and proceeded to look for the track on my Playlist and then click it.

As the song was playing, to my surprise hubby started singing along the song to Wifey in an Indian movie style hahahaha. What got me laughing inside myself more was when he sang the part in the song:

To have to hold. Hahahaha hahaha, guys honestly I almost burst out laughing here.
While the song was about to end, I have already set another track by Celine Dion and R. Kelly (I am your angel). Immediately Phil Collins ended I click that one. Once again hubby sang along and by this time Wifey has stopped sobbing. The next thing I saw was a tap in the head and when I looked back, hubby gave me a thumps up signal. Meaning my head dey there hahahaha. Another thing that amused me was that hubby knows those old school blues words for words, lyrics for lyrics. And me kukuma get them in quantum.

Before that one ended, I slot in Toni Braxton (Breathe Again). With this one, hubby yell softly wow! As I turned back to look at him, Wifey is already lying on his chest while hubby held her gently. This Toni Braxton was the one that kill it the most, when hubby sang the part: I will never breath again without you. Wifey now crying softly again while lying on his chest muttered some words: you know I love you, while do you want to break my? Hubby rubbed her face to her hair and said you know I won't do such. After Toni Braxton I put some other numerous love songs that got them in the mood. As we were almost getting to their destination which is hotel, Hubby told me to give him my account details. I gave him and he said when he ordered the ride, the price was #2300-#2600 so he sent me 3k and said even with the hold up it won't be more than that, but if it's more than that then he will send me another money. Within seconds I got the 3k alert. We got to the hotel parking lots and I ended the trip and it reads #2500. I brought out #500 to give him and he said I should keep it, that he loves my ride and the songs I played for them, I just smiled and say thank you.

They came down and headed to the hotel lobby, I was just looking at them shaking my head and smiling when all of a sudden Wifey turned back and ran to where I was still parked telling hubby she forgot something. As she came, open the door and pretended to be looking for something she handed 1k note to me and told me thank you for everything, before I could say anything she just said bye and left. Me I started my car still smiling and I left, lolz what a way to end the day.

Okay guys, I will make it short and simple, I have done everything possible for her, like I spoilt her with food and possibly money too, now she just feels comfortable at home , sleeping all day, then wakes up and demand money, I have been paying for one thing or the other every week of this relationship, I give her money for food and all, and she has parent, I feel like I’m suffocating, I can’t even save anymore, and she has a handwork but just too lazy or relentless to even work, guys advice me on this please

My younger who is age 20 has been battling with a sickness for over a year now.
His body is swelling up.
Eyes, neck, legs and stomach. They all appear puffed.
We have done all kinds of test and treatment, nobody has been able to diagnose the nature of the sickness.
There is no pain whatsoever, just swellings especially after a nap.
Also he sleeps more than usual.
There was a period it went down for like 3 months.
But now we are back to it again.
He is having difficulty in breathing because of the throat swellings
I will be attaching some of the drugs he is using.

So i boarded my plane this morning and i can say it was a great experience thanks to all your contributions and tips. Lemme start like this, I woke up so early as my flight was at 8:25 since it's my first time i needed to play safe to avoid stories that touch i didn't give my village people a chance in that aspect.

I arrived at the airport few minutes to 7 and by 7:10 i was done checking in and ready for boarding (I didn't expect it to be so fast and smooth tho)

That was how i started pressing my phone and carefully paying attention to the announcements that one could barely hear. (I think airports need to do better as some of us no dey understand that kind accents) They can just past the announcement on a screen for people to read, anyways what do i know? maybe people have not missed flight as a result of that.

Ehen so while waiting, i was just observing everything, i saw one bros seated behind me so i walked up to him and confessed. "Bros no vex, na my first flight bdis, abeg if dem announce air peace flight to lagos just let me know" he smiled and said i shouldn't worry. Few minutes later i heard the announcement naso i pack my things go join queue, kudos to air peace (unlike the other announcements i heard, they used one local accent to announce before the normal posh accent repeated the announcement so it was easy for me to know it's time to board.

They did the normal thing and i was inside the plane naso i just dey look like village boy. i followed the suggestion by some good NLanders and watched how to fasten a plane seat belt so it was not an issue, i no disgrace my ancestors. except for the air hostess that was rude when i asked her for my seat everything went fine, i was so calm and composed like i've done this before. The plane took off and few minutes later we're flying above the clouds i was just smiling all through then i felt a sharp pain in my left ear, boom i no dey hear well again. then i remembered i was told here, i just swallowed saliva and i'd regain my hearing, it continued through out the flight. some of the things i noticed through the flight was:

Majority of land, like 70 percent is uninhabited, i saw my knowledge of geography come into play as we ascend into the sky, i could easily identify all the different layers like atmosphere, lithosphere and the rest it was like we're traveling to space, asin after all science no dey lie oo but above all God is the greatest. My experience helped me to believe God more, like he created all these things, he has the power to do anything so why even doubt him.

At some point during the flight, the plane was vibrating and turning anyhow lol but i didnt panic because i remembered nairalanders told me about it, i was seated by the window and stayed awake all through. Like 20 minutes into the flight, the pilot said "for those of you sitting by the right if you look by the window we are just flying over ibadan" naso i look and was like, oga i no see ibadan here ooo na just thick cloud i see.
That was how i landed in lagos around 10am and the weather was looking like 4pm nawao. i enjoyed my flight sha and i hope to do this again, but next time it should be canada not lagos.

I was in a relationship with a girl for 8 months. I feel she is too much for me. She has everything I want in a woman but she is just too good to be true. She is intelligent, kind, hardworking, beautiful, she has a good job, earns more than me and she is more educated than I am.

For months, she has maintained consistent behaviour and she did not change. That was when I fell in love with her, even when I misbehaved she never insulted me instead she handled everything maturely despite me being older than her.

From the beginning, I kept a little secret from her. I have a daughter from my other relationship. My daughter is 8 years now and she lives with her mother. I pay something to the mother every month but I have not seen my ex or my daughter for 5 years.

From the beginning, she asked if I had a child before and she told me she hates dishonesty. I told her I don't have a child because I sensed she might not want to pursue a relationship with me.

I started to feel guilty when I realised our relationship was getting serious so I started distancing myself from her and asked her to give me some space. She was not offended instead she still kept interacting with me.

Two weeks ago, I broke up with her over text, she did not respond. This is someone who calls me and texts me regularly, but after seeing my break up message she did not call or text me. She did not even acknowledge the break up.

The truth is that I wanted her to beg so that I can open up about my daughter. I know she is emotionally involved with me and at this stage it will be easier for her to accept me despite having a child.

What can I do for her to want me back and reach out first? I still love her.

We all know how hard the country is @the moment,as we're all feeling the heat.

I have basically ran out of some major foodstuffs like yam, bag of potatoes,paints of rice and garri.for some couple of days now I have been racking my brain on how to purchase those items without disturbing my husband because recently he has bn complaining of low patronage.even my soaps and body scrub don finish for days now.

Me,I am somehow broke and sales lately hasn't bn interesting.i run a street roadside hustle and I don't go to hustle on Sundays which is my rest days.

But as level come be nau...kids must chow anyhow e be.so I decided since last night to come to hustle today being Sunday,since I have what to sale so I could see money to purchase those items I mentioned earlier on.

The raw truth I don't know how to borrow money from somebody,infact no one would even agree to lend money to you.so I decided to use what I have to get what I need.

Immediately I appeared in my hustleville arena this morning,one righteous woman like that dressed in a very lovely gown and peacock hat was to the first to hunt me down.

Mind you this woman has been hunting me for months,she was the reason why I stopped selling on Sundays because her preaching wahala was too much.

Mummy zee why nau?why nau?I thought you ve stopped?,why did you come out today.
Whilst she was busy asking me these questions,I bent down to lit my firewoods money must be made jare.

When she finished rapping,she looked at me,I looked at her,I carried my pan and placed it on the fire.in my mind I was like...hanty pls board your Keke and go,but for where.


I walked up to her and said.....pls ma'am cud you please lend me 30k?I need it to sort some things at home.madam said she doesn't have.


I left her there,went back to stir my beans paste in my mortal,madam borrowed herself sense then entered Keke and moooovv.

I settled down and sold maaad market,my money to buy those foodstuffs I mentioned is complete.i even bought succulent ripe plantains join to prepare correct plaintain and egg sauce for my family!
Bag of potatoes is sure,paints of rice is sure, tubers of yam toh sure,paints of garri nko,it's the Lord's doing.

I can confidently get my soaps and body scrub now.

Now my question is.....just because today that I didn't go to church would God be so angry to throw me into hell fire knowing fully well that my family needs these basic items?

Why do some too churchy righteous Christians likes hunting people that doesn't go to church and if you meet them to help you with money instead they will quote excerpts from the Bible to you.
