Corrinthians: Now, take a census of the tribe of those who'd comment on this thread, you'd see Yorubas would hardly bother about it, and that is because IT IS NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS.
Let a similar situation occur somewhere in Yorubaland and you'd see these people who tend to always know more about Yoruba business, THAN YORUBAS THEMSELVES, flood the thread with their nauseating bile.
It's a shame how they've made Lagos state their PRIMARY occupation in life, and Ambode whom they hated with so much passion, their newly adopted god.
Sucks to be them. Am not one for violence ......but then I wish my Yoruba and Hausa brothers won't be so subservient to dictatorship |

PVision2020: Those advising Ambode against Tinubu are trying to wreck him totally. You can't condemn a system than produced you. If not for the Tinubu and APC structure, one on one Jimi Agbaje is head and shoulder above Ambode and would have defeated him a thousand times over. One thing neophytes don't know about Lagos politics and Tinubu's Leadership is that, tinubu is an ordinary man controlling an extraordinary loyal armies of lieutenants in charge of the nooks and crannies of Lagos (Aregbe - Alimosho, Ganiyu Solomon - Mushin, Obanikoro - mainland etc), strip tinubu of this men and he will be stark naked, Obasanjo tried it by signing Obanikoro . You can afford to offend Tinubu, his lieutenants will plead on your behalf (as in the case of fashola) , But when you collectively offends this lieutenants then Tinubu will have to choose between you and his loyal foot soldiers. Your guess is as good as mine. Ambode will just end like Pedro, Akerele and Obanikoro. Apc card carrying members, Agberos, Market women and artisan group are enough to give APC victory at the polls. You are an extremely intelligent man |

You guys focused on Osun that is paying modulated salaries only to neglect your dear Abia state where workers are owed for 9 solid months.
You're so interested in what happens in the SW that you conveniently and collectively recycle failed leaders like OUK, T. A Orji and Ikpeazu back to back.
Leave our Lagos and SW affairs to us. We don't give a about you guys. If we say it's Ambode today and not him tomorrow, it's none of your business. Are we not all Nigerians anymore... Tribalism never exalts a nation |

WritePal: While it would appear Banire made some points, reading between the lines it's obvious to see Fashola's hand and vendetta over Ambode's supposed 'arrogance.'
In actual fact, it is Fashola who is arrogant cos he felt slighted that Ambode put him at a distance. He feels he has built an oversized image in Lagos about to be dumped into memory by Ambode. He is the puppeteer pulling the strings behind the Mandate Group, Banire and all the media campaign.
By the way, what is it with the PSP contractors? Why are they all so concerned about these? Someone needs to investigate. It's like it's the vehicle of economic compensation/reward for a large number of APC delegates and members of the Mandate Group.
Ambode may have his shortcomings, but it seems since he chose to be less political and sentimental on his policies decisions and actions and go full professional in the engagement of contractors, they have ganged up against him. Let no one be deceived, this is pure gang up!
And who told Banire that someone cannot come from outside the system to lead? That is what has kept Nigeria in the a cyclic hurricane till today. In fact, the one who will save Nigeria and sweep all of you away like a tsunami (at the highest level) will be from outside the system. A dark horse.
I wish Ambode can get me on his media team. I will take these guys and their minions to the cleaners and help win the majority of the electorate over, regardless of the party platform he's contesting on. It will be like magic. E go do VOOOM for their eyes! Ambode has no policies in running his admistration Yes he has built bridges and roads and laybys that are worthy of applause from Berger to Iyana oworo to Ajah but his administration lacks a systematic process. He seem to all about wiping out all of fashola's working systems from the PSP format that created jobs and solved the age long problem of waste management in the state. Rather than import buses with state funds he should have invited the private sector and even charge them rent for using the structures he is putting in place....Government has no business in business. Ambode must be the most bitterest person right now in the world because the very god he worshipped has thrown him under the bus because of the poor outcome of things and tinubu can not loose the allegiance of the party faithfuls |
Politics › Re: Osun Rerun: Omisore Agrees To Work For APC Victory On Thursday - Doyin Okupe by 49cents(m): 9:56am On Sep 26, 2018 |
Chikpat: He has done noble
The man was the last man standing in Osun PDP after other heavy politicians left the party....he kept hope alive. The Adelekes were in APC that time. Isiaka died, the dancer contested for senate first in APC and decamped after the ticket eluded him. He found succor in PDP and is today a senator. Had he not defected, PDP would have had another candidate and within a short time, the decamped bread and butter dancer displaced other party men in the race. Has PDP not tried for this spoilt kid who is at best a dumb dancer? Out of greed, he pounced on the guber elections and emerged the flag bearer in a most controversial commando and gestapo manner that soon saw other aspirants leaving the party they had nursed while some guy was dancing in the States. Omisore of cause left the party for SDP and others petitioned the NWC to no avail. There is a way people don't like to be treated and you don't treat them like that.
Omisore's working for APC is just a noble engagement. APC may not be the best for Osun, but for Omisore, let APC win. This is how I settle my own scores. See how you have rationalised a non ideological politician like omisore as though he were worthy of applause. This is the problem with the commoners they will always be quick to line up against their ooppressors I am in no way routing for Adelekes for he is square peg in a round hole. My point: can we stop being political bystanders and analysts in the politics that actually affects us more than the elites we waste our time supporting and arguing about? |

We see that on a daily basis from our friends, neighbors, staff and church members.
We give them tuale for being just so respectful to anyone older than them.
How we wish other tribes can be that way. Even the Yoruba adage says and i translate: prostrating isn't necessarily respect. Kneeling and prostrating is the Yorubas show respect to whom it is due. Every tribe on earth have their own form of showing respect so please stop the needless comparison. |

Sapphire86: Honestly, I'm tired of hearing about Ambode every other hour. I know he wont see this but I have to pour out my mind
Gov Ambode, it is with sadness i hear you grovel because of your political ambition. I never wanted you to be elected in 2015 because of the party you represented and one or 2 issues but I must say, you came and blew my reservations away. Its sickening that you dont know your worth else you wont allowing any one individual or group determine your fate as though they have the final say.
Even if you only serve for a term, you have done well because the issues of Lagos cannot be tackled fully in 4 years but a step and process must first be implemented which you have done.
Now if you decide you still have strength and grace to go one more term, its alright but WHO TOLD YOU IF TINUBU OR MANDATE GROUP do not endorse you, you can't win? Since when did they have the final say over your life and Lagos?(Except there is something you are not telling us)
Personally, I hope you stay and fight for yours or leave and fight for yours in another party but either way, FIGHT FOR YOURS. The backbone of Tinubu must be broken in Lagos and if this is how it would be for it to happen, I'm down for it. No one man or group should hold a state ransom; I don't care if he (Tinubu) personally dines with the devil every evening.
Gov Ambode, it's time for you to grow a pair and fight. It would be tough, it would be difficult but it's not impossible. All you need are God and a fighting spirit.
P.S. I hope you didn't embezzle like your predecessors oooo
Tired of Apc, tired of Tinubu
It's my opinion... dont disturb my peace on it. If only you knew the amount of skeletons in ambodes cupboard you would advice him otherwise |

Catholicism is a religion. Pentecostalism is too, but it is less a typical religion like Catholicism, which relies on too many peganistic traditions that put Christ on the sideline.
Catholicism is a dangerous thing to be into in these last days. Come out of it.
@bolded. Can you imagine? Case in point... Catholics do not believe Mary is chirst. Catholicism is a fullest expression of Christianity. And I can easily show you how. |
