greaterlove: I'm so surprised that he still has members in his church, what kind of people will seat down every sunday to listen to all this thrash and in their mind feel they have done their obligation of honoring the Sabbath day. Has he forgotten october first is behind us and goodluck is still in power? The reasonable thing he should do is to apologize to his members for giving them a false prophesy of horrible months before october 1st which will usher in a new government.ode, you dont judge people from afar.have you been there to know if they are teaching the world or not. just visit yourself and be the judge if its truly a chruch or political platform. |
The ignorance on this thread is alarming. @OP, the fact that you saw your bro with the keyhole means noting. If he is an Eiye gut, the bird won't be black but blue and their colour is blue. If he is an axe man(their color is black) he won't have a bird as his keyholder. This being said, what him and see how he does with these colours but from the key holder, he does not belong
thanks man.quite comforting. |

The spokesman for Islamist militant group Boko Haram has been killed by Nigeria's military, reliable sources have told the BBC. However, Boko Haram has not confirmed that Abu Qaqa has been killed. A military spokesman told the BBC that two militant suspects had been arrested, one of whom later died but his identity remains unknown. Boko Haram has staged numerous attacks across northern and central Nigeria, killing some 1,400 people. The military has previously claimed to have arrested Abu Qaqa but this was denied by Boko Haram, who said the wrong man had been detained. The joint military task force said it stopped a car suspected to be carrying some senior Boko Haram commanders in Kano, northern Nigeria. A source close to the military said one of the people in the car tried to escape and was shot. He later died in the hospital. The source said some of the people in the car have informed the military that the person shot was Abu Qaqa, the man who signs emails sent to the media on behalf of the group. Analysts note that Abu Qaqa is an alias, so establishing his identity will not be easy. Source:BBC |

RMAFC boss advocates ‘talk tax’ for telecom subscribers, others SEPTEMBER 11, 2012 BY AGENCY REPORTER The Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission has advocated the introduction of communication service tax for mobile phone users, to boost revenue generation in Nigeria. The Chairman of RMAFC, Mr. Elias Mbam, made the suggestion on Tuesday in Asaba at a zonal advocacy workshop on economic diversification, organised by the commission to enhance revenue generation, the News Agency of Nigeria reports. Mbam said the proposed communication tax would make it mandatory for mobile phone users, who spent more than N100 on calls daily to pay tax. “Presently, there are over 100 million telecommunications subscribers in Nigeria. There should be a law that provides that anybody who uses above N100 recharge card a day should be taxed for a percentage of the extra value used. “In other words, once you consume over N100 in phone calls, for that extra-money, you must pay a particular percentage of tax.” “I can assure you that if we collect that, even if it is one per cent, the nation will get over N1 billion a day.” Mbam said such revenue could be used to provide “free education at all levels in the country.” “The spectrum (communication) is our national wealth and anyone who is enjoying our national wealth should be made to pay for it,” he said. The chairman also advocated the payment of “merriment tax” for wealthy Nigerians. “If you have a ceremony that establishes your level of income, clearly those ceremonies should be taxed. For instance, if somebody is taking a chieftaincy title and takes a live TV coverage for the whole day (or several hours), the ceremony should be taxed. “The money being used for such occasions must have been acquired for certain privileges the celebrant has and he should pay tax for that,” he said. NAN reports that the zonal workshop on economic diversification is the third in the series organised by the commission. The aim of the workshop is to spur states and local governments to rely less on monthly revenue allocation from the sale of crude oil and gas. Source; Punchng. |
Nigerian State’s Proposed Borehole Ban Sparks Controversy 11 Jun 2012 - 00:00 by OOSKAnews Correspondent NIGERIA, ABUJA — Lagos state, home to Nigeria’s largest urban area and commercial capital, last week became the latest state in the country to propose a ban on drilling boreholes for water. Lagos State Governor Babatunda Fashola on June 6 called for “shutting down of boreholes because they have long-term environmental impacts and damage our state and people.” The ban would apply to individuals and private companies. The proposal came shortly after national Water Minister Sarah Ochekpe was quoted saying there was “a high possibility” that the federal government would impose a similar ban, or at least regulate “the extent to which they were constructed.” Fashola urged water consumers in Lagos utilize water supplied by Lagos Water Corporation, said to be Africa’s largest water provider, rather than digging their own wells. The corporation’s managing director, Shayo Holloway, had previously warned that continued borehole drilling for water supply was an unsustainable practice and posed a danger to the would-be beneficiaries. “Domestic boreholes are affecting water production because [they] pollute the water when they are abandoned and refuse is dumped into them,” he said. The Lagos Water Corporation is working toward a goal of supplying more than 700 millions of gallons a day to customers by building at least 15 new mini-waterworks over the next 10 years. Currently, the company provides an estimated 200 million gallons of water every day, while demand is about 500 million gallons/day. It is estimated that more than 70 percent of the Nigerian population lacks access to a reliable clean water supply. Recently, Water Minister Ochekpe said the country would need more than $2.5 billion USD to meet increasing demand for water. Earlier, a survey carried out by the University of Maiduguri in the capital and largest city of Borno State confirmed that the increase in the number of boreholes there, as in other parts of Nigeria, was due to the inability by the federal and regional government to meet demand. If you think you have bore hole and you are save wait till they implement this. |

This is realy getting out of hands. We need to learn how to defend ourselves not only praying praying praying, saying the same thing over and over again as if God is deaf out of fear of robbers. |
