Nnemuka:
Let's say your sister is also a lactating mom who came for omugwo since your parents are no more, then you had to go for a BOD meeting weeks after having your baby and you couldn't return early enough.

Your sistr decided 6hours aftr you left the house and your baby has been crying at home to breast feed your baby.
What would you do? Would you be angry or let it slide since she is your blood sistr?
Do you think the baby may start behaving like your sister's children? Is it ok
Since it has happened already you can forgive her but tell her in plain words not to do it again.

As long as she is healthy there is nothing medically wrong in what she did.
Emotionally however she pervaded your personal space and that of your baby by breastfeeding it even though I'm sure it came instinctively to her since she was a breastfeeding mother herself.
What was she thinking?

She shouldn't do it again.

How old r u? If older than 18 then⬇⬇⬇

You need to man up and take charge.
Insist your mom goes to Abuja with her boss.. Tell her u will take care of things on the home front.
Then take up some menial task to keep body and soul together until mom breaks even.
The father of the house is down.
The onus lies on you to be the man.

If younger than 15 then am sure the nairaland feminists will have advice for you.

You all have rotten minds.

First of all, the guy isn't actually sucking the mom's boobs, only pretending to do so.

Secondly, it is obvious this is a picture of affection and not lust. They are not alone, in fact a third person is there laughing away and snapping the pics.

I will admit that I personally can't do this as I'm sort of a private person when it concerns family, but I'm sure there was no evil intent when this picture was taken. I would go so far as to say the person who posted it on social media did not have the permission of the boy or his mother before doing this.

I think marylong's experience is different from the op's. In her case I see it more as a woman who met and fell desperately in love with a man who didn't love her but wanted her wealth and resourcefulness. Like she said, it was her first love@30! I might be wrong but I think marylong might have gotten married to this man out of duress /societal pressure etc. and was willing to do anything and everything to make this marriage work.

Marylong, people may think am crazy for saying this but I think u still love this guy. I also think though you are now separated he still finds ways of communicating with u probably for financial reasons(I could be wrong on this second part). I think u should cut off ALL communication with him. Make it abrupt and instantaneous. Refuse to pick his calls or text messages. Use this time to build up your life, if possible restart your old businesses. I assure you he will seek you out.

If you still want to reconcile after all he put you through then when he comes calling you must lay down all your ground rules. Make sure you don't hand your finances over to him ever again except in life and death situations. Make him work at being the head of the house. He will appreciate you more and you in turn will be fulfilled.

It's been a busy day for me.

Woke up early and did my laundry, washed the bathroom, then rushed to the nearby diner for breakfast consisting of Chinese egg rice and fried fish. Then went to get car washed and and the seats wrapped. Struggled through traffic back home and rested for an hour or so before dashing out again.

I'm a very busy person. Also an untidy one. embarassed

Dude, i am so waiting for a thread where a man comes to complain about his cheating wife. I would love to read your comment on it.

My answer to that question was actually in my first comment. you can read it. Cheating is one thing that would made me call it quits. Its my deal breaker. I aint afraid of divorce. I could forgive when its done once of which would be sooooooooo difficult for me because things will never remain the same again and i will no longer see my husband as my husband. might take years. But if its more than once, THE END.
So since i have never commited the crime then you need to apologise for calling me a liar, no? smiley

Liar liar pants on fire . . .

I don't know any nigerian man who would stay with a cheating wife. I doubt if you'll be the first.
Then u don't know many Nigerian men. And my post clearly says first offenders even though I PERSONALLY know two Nigerian men who had chronic cheating wives and still forgave them. I have written about them before.

Second, u didn't answer my question. Would u throw out a first offender?
Family › Re: The Wife Beating Campaign On Nairaland by 5minsmadness: 4:29pm On May 09, 2015
Sophyrocks:
Exactly. The common belief is that when a man speaks, the woman should say nothing but agree. If she tries to counter, she isnt wife material. If she defends herself, she is verbally abusive. Therefore men are allowed to run their mouth and that isnt verbal abuse to them. but when a woman does so, a crime has been committed. Ive noticed this in nairaland.
heheehe.
some people have been reading too much chinua achebe cheesy
Just out of curiosity, can you show me a single post, just one, where you have noticed the above?

Nope. Your advice doesnt sound that way. Yu made statements as 'Give it a rest' implying that its a minor thing she can just stitch off like it never happened. Your comment implied that its so easy to forgive a spouse who cheats with a best friend. Guy, just admit you will send your wife parking immediately once you find out.
@bolded; for a first time offence? no i wouldnt.
But then this is not about me.

is that what you would do?

If that is how that advice sounded to the female mind then i humbly apologise. What happened is virutally unforgivable. he slept with her best friend. (That on its own was super dumb in itself...best friend can easily turn around tomorrow and tell wife even if she hadnt found out through his phone)

Op's marriage has been an inspiration to many. Many would be happy, even gleeful to see it finally fall. Hubbie made a mistake and is extremely sorry. he is completely at fault. And now others are cashing in on the couple's misfortune. the vultures are looming waiting to pick the bones. No matter how hubbie tries, it is only with wifey's permission that this marriage will be salvaged. it doesnt make the matter "minor" in any way. It is a big deal. If wifey is hurting then hubbie caused it and will be willing to do anything to take that hurt away. all she has to do is give permission.

You are still justifying physical violence by this your comment. So we can say women can beat up men who run their mouths then.
Yes they can and they should!
Oh wait, men are much stronger than women so that may not be a good idea...

Cool. I have also been attacked by male folks myself in this forum for no just cause. Just admit it. Men are equally verbally abusive as women can be. If we keep using verbal abuse as an excuse for physical, then men are not left out. That means we all should go beating up anyone that runs his/her mouth, men inclusive. Or do you think women enjoy it when you men run your mouth?
Oh, I'm sure they don't grin
Am sure it pisses them off no end cos we are surfing on thier turf grin
Its called adaptation.
You dont expect the men on this forum to recieve insults and lay low quietly.
It is inherently within us men to fight and to conquer by whatever means necessary.
If we cant reach you physically then we we learn verbal combat.
And unfortunately its is inevitable that we will become much better at it grin

I am not saying verbal abuse should be anexcuse to hit a woman.
what pisses me off is when a woman feels she can do anything to a man without consequences afterall "there is no justifiable reason for hitting a woman" undecided

Its like a woman dressing like a hooker and walking down harlem street at night.
Anything that happens to her is entirely her fault.

Chai! this guy! So can you take this your advice if you found out your wife cheated with your best friend? SMH.

Op, you found the right word to use for this issue; HYPOCRISY.
"This advice" simply means the yam and the knife is in her hands. she can do and undo. Hubbie made a mistake and is extremely sorry for it.
