Stale news. Nice guy though. |
Bullshit. No man is that lazy. Are you trying to stir up trouble? |
Wait oooo, I just had a thought... MAYBE HE IS WAITING FOR CHRISTMAS TO BE OVER BEFORE HE STRIKES!! |
donbenie:What's funny about it? The man has refused to bring up the matter and I guess she's too scared to talk to him. She should jejely write the apology letter and leave it where he can read it or better yet send it as bbm or whatsapp so she can know if he read it or not. I think its a good idea o. @op, I will also advise she tells his best friend or a close family member to talk to him. She doesn't have to wash her dirty linen in public but she needs a trustworthy elder or close family member she can confide in to table the matter before him. |
“No, No, No! Not a good idea!” Dr Burke said even as Silas and Caleb armed themselves at the request of Dr Stephan. He had taken a long shower and changed to a new pair of clothes, thanks to Dr burke’s immaculate wardrobe. “We have to try it out Burke.” Dr Stephan said clapping his hands gleefully. “It’s no big deal. I did it myself a couple of times in the other room.” “And look what happened to you!” Dr Burke replied apprehensively. “Who in their right mind goes out to catch Zombies?” Silas stood up and looked at Dr Stephan. “Dr Burke has been proven right a number of times since I met him. Why don’t we simply vaccinate ourselves first, become immune to zombie bites?” “Because the antidote is for those that have already turned into zombies!” Dr Stephan said, clapping Silas on the back. “If you get bitten during our little adventure, I will not hesitate to inject you. But not a minute before then!” “Na wah o…” Caleb mumbled. “we wan do this thing true true? Catch zombie?” “What did you say?” Dr Stephan asked. “I didn’t get you.” “Never mind. It’s pidgin.” Caleb replied. He cocked his shotgun. “Let’s roll.” “Bad idea, Bad idea,” Dr burke said as he went to the console and opened the door. It slid open with a whoosh and Silas and Caleb ventured out cautiously. The corridor looked empty but they couldn’t be quite sure as some pockets of darkness remained at the edges. Anything could be waiting patiently there and they wouldn’t know until it was too late. “Stay behind me Caleb,” Silas said as he took tentative steps forward. He felt he was more experienced with guns and so decided to take the lead. Caleb followed dutifully behind, keeping an eye out for any form of movement. As they went further out, Dr Burke closed the door shut behind them. “Seriously old chap, you would have left the door open in case they need to beat a hasty retreat.” Dr Stephan said, shaking his head at Dr Burke. “Don’t worry; I’ll be watching them from the monitor here. “ Dr Burke said, punching the keypad beside the door. “If there is any need to open it I will do so.” Dr. Stephan shrugged. Now he was feeling better he didn’t want to impose his authority too much on Dr Burke though he felt the man was being a little strict. Silas and Caleb continued their search, trying to be as quiet as possible as they made their way down the corridor. On one or two occasions they thought they heard noise but it turned out to be rats. Caleb was beginning to get a little nervous. “Bro, we have gone far from the room and still no zombies. What if they are setting a trap for us? “ “Zombies do not set traps, Caleb.” Silas said, moving forward. He understood Caleb’s anxiety though. The corridor was about to end and soon they would reach the main doors to the building. “Maybe they have all wandered off in search of food or something.” Caleb said, as he approached the main door with Silas in front of him. “Maybe none of them are around…” They both paused at the main door and looked at each other. “Let’s do this.” Silas said and Caleb nodded. Silas turned the lock and opened the door. And right in front of them was a whole horde of zombies. They were standing outside, swaying slowly from side to side as if to music. They stopped immediately and all eyes turned to the two men who had interrupted whatever they were doing. “Shit.” Caleb said. With a loud roar, the entire horde of zombies rushed after them. Caleb and Silas turned and fled down the corridor with the zombies snapping at their heels. Caleb turned around and saw them falling over each other to get at them, some whole and complete, others falling apart with dangling heads and limbs. One particular black zombie kept reaching out for him, and suddenly Caleb had a moment of recognition. “Efe! Look Silas, It’s Efe!” “Yeah, maybe you should stop and say hi!” Silas retorted as he panted down the long dark corridor. He stumbled and almost fell but Caleb caught and steadied him. “There’s too many of them!” shouted Caleb. “How many zombies were we supposed to catch?!” Silas was thinking furiously. There seemed to be only one way out of this and it wasn’t pleasant. “Caleb! Get to the door! Make sure it is open!” “Ok!” Caleb said and ran ahead. Silas turned on his heels and fired a shot into the belly of the nearest zombie. It fell, and many others tumbled over it in the melee. Silas stood his ground and fired another shot at a shuffling zombie, turning it to pulp instantly. As it dropped, more zombies fell over it, but there were too many and soon Silas found himself swinging the gun left right and centre in a bid to keep them off him. Zombie Efe made a lunge at him but Silas ducked at the last moment, using his body as a lever and threw the Zombie Efe over his head. It hit the floor hard and moaned loudly. Silas got up in time to see the slide door open and Caleb rushing back. “Take him in!” Silas shouted just before he was pulled down by the other Zombies. He screamed as they bit into his arm and chest. Pain turned him to an animal and he struck at them viciously, managing to disentangle himself from their grasp. By now Caleb was pulling Zombie Efe inside the Panic room by his legs with the help of Dr Stephan. Silas roared and struck out at the zombies around him and it was not until he bit one of the zombies on the shoulder that he realized he was becoming one of them. He looked at the light, the two humans pulling zombie Efe into the room. His quickly fogging brain reminded him that there was something vastly important about that light, in that room, but he couldn’t remember what it was. He realized the zombies weren’t attacking him so much anymore and he was now in fact like part of the horde, screaming and shuffling towards the light and the door but quickly losing interest at the same time. He suddenly stopped like the other zombies and started to turn around and go back outside to the strange sound that his ears were picking up…but suddenly firm hands grabbed him and pulled him inside the room and the door slid shut. “Oh my goodness! He’s turned into one of them!” He heard a voice say and he lurched in the direction of the voice, looking for the sweet morsel of flesh it was coming from. His appetite was so great he felt it was the only important thing in the world. He turned around and saw a man in a white suit rush up to him and stick something in his arm. He grabbed the man but someone else pulled the man away from his grasp. His tongue felt bitter and heavy all of a sudden and then the fogginess began to clear. He gasped for breath as he regained full consciousness of himself once again. “Holy crap, Silas! That was awesome!” Caleb said as the colour slowly returned to Silas’ cheeks. “Did I turn into a zombie?” Silas asked, bewildered. “Yes you did mate.” Dr Stephan said. “I injected you with the antidote just like I said, after you got bitten. And it worked!” Silas groaned and sat on the floor. It was only then he noticed the huge sleeping form of Efe beside him. “What about him?” He asked. |
Op, she should let the matter rest. The man may have just come to terms with it and has decided to do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING as repercussion. She should just be extra nice to him for a long while. Do they have kids? |
Wendy80:As for the bolded, it is highly unusual for a single guy without any baggage to be in a hurry to marry a pregnant woman, a woman that he knows is already pregnant for another man. UNLESS: 1. He has fertility issues and knows he cannot impregnate a woman. This is an opportunity for him to cover his inadequacies by marrying an already pregnant woman. It has happened before, its not new. 2. He loves this woman so much, maybe has been obsessing about her even while she was engaged to the other guy. And now is his chance to marry her. I have seen this once and eventually it didn't work out. |
MizMyColi:Mama: Why are you driving that man away? Mz: Don't mind him mummy, he said he will give me N50million if I slap you! Mama: Ah! Serious? And you let him go? See this Uselesssssss child! Oga? Oga? Come back!! |
50 MILLION NAIRA??!!?! Lets be real abeg. Your mom will NEVER forgive you if you don't slap her! |
Sophyrocks:Well, I hope you realise something's up from the responses you are getting here. Most guy cliques have that singular girl that is always in their midst. Can be a childhood friend or someone we met at the uni who was a 'cool' chic, taken as 'one of the boys ' etc. Usually in a lot of relationships, none of them really fruitful UntiL she leaves the group. Its a guy thing. I won't say more. Who knows, You might be the 'exception.' |
Sophyrocks:The pallie pallie girl among the boys... Have u ever thought this might be the reason you are still single? |
So, according to the op, a man should just meet a woman on the street and if she appeals to hin physically he can have sex with her and even impregnate her and then go his merry way without any obligation to take care of her when she is pregnant or help her raise the kids or anything for that matter. Just meet and copulate and move on. Most people are not as wise as they think. |

anumide:Because, at the end of all the song and dance, a woman marries a man she wants to look up to, a man she can respect, a man who will be higher than her in every way, a man she can rely on. Marrying someone below her class is a step down for her. A man can do this without batting an eye because he is the head of the relationship. A woman cannot afford to do this. |
Also it shows the futility in being straightforward in a relationship. Most girls will say no if you ask for sex outright; but tell her she's pretty and buy her nice stuff and show her you are not afraid to be the alpha male and take charge of her and before you know it you are in her bed. Then after when you want to move on she'll start shouting why you didn't ask for sex outright. Duh, cos she would have said no! All it takes to get into a man's bed is to ask. A girl doesn't even have to be pretty, just have basic assets and that's it ![]() |
coogar:Very interesting and straightforward experiment. The girl at 2:02 was actually thinking about it ![]() I also watched the video on a girl asking random guys for sex. More than 50% success rate and it would probably have been more if some of the guys weren't with their girlfriends at the time! This clearly shows that there is a huge difference between the sexes pertaining to sexuality amongst other things. Women on Nairaland would have us believe that men and women have the same sexual drive but that women control theirs more. Total bullshit. One of the random guys being asked for sex actually cut the call he was making to his mother to answer the babe ![]() |
Another group of atheists attack only the Christian God because they know christians are supposed to turn the other cheek and there wont be repercussions, at least not here on earth. They dare not speak rudely in a moslem thread. These ones are just cowards looking for a way to antagonise others and getting a kick out of it. And then we have the real Atheists. Very few if I say so myself. They hardly have time for meaningless arguments and they don't deliberately write 'god' instead of 'God' to annoy christians. Most of these atheists here are internet copy and paste atheists. |
I think most atheists here are angry not at God per se, but at certain Born-again christians attitudes towards non believers concerning redemption and eternity. Most born-again christians have a way of being very condescending, as if they have a ticket that no one else has. Even if that were true, the manner and way they approach others, even other christian denominations, leave much to be desired. I was reading a post on facebook where it was said that the Catholic Pope had renounced Christ. You need to see the way these know-it-all Born-agains commented gleefully on how the catholic church was evil. None of them even took the time to click the link to see it was joke news. This pride by these group of born-again christians is going to be their downfall because pride blocks the ear to correction. |

Divorce introduces a massive change into the life of a boy or girl no matter what the age. Witnessing loss of love between parents, having parents break their marriage commitment, adjusting to going back and forth between two different households, and the daily absence of one parent while living with the other, all create a challenging new family circumstance in which to live. In the personal history of the boy or girl, parental divorce is a watershed event. Life that follows is significantly changed from how life was before. Somewhat different responses to this painful turn of events occur if the boy or girl is still in childhood or has entered adolescence. Basically, divorce tends to intensify the child's dependence and it tends to accelerate the adolescent's independence; it often elicits a more regressive response in the child and a more aggressive response in the adolescent. Consider why this variation may be so. The child's world is a dependent one, closely connected to parents who are favored companions, heavily reliant on parental care, with family the major locus of one's social life. The adolescent world is a more independent one, more separated and distant from parents, more self-sufficient, where friends have become favored companions, and where the major locus of one's social life now extends outside of family into a larger world of life experience. For the young child, divorce shakes trust in dependency on parents who now behave in an extremely undependable way. They surgically divide the family unit into two different households between which the child must learn to transit back and forth, for a while creating unfamiliarity, instability, and insecurity, never being able to be with one parent without having to be apart from the other. Convincing a young child of the permanence of divorce can be hard when his intense longing fantasizes that somehow, some way, mom and dad will be living back together again someday. He relies on wishful thinking to help allay the pain of loss, holding onto hope for a parental reunion much longer than does the adolescent who is quicker to accept the finality of this unwelcome family change. Thus parents who put in a joint presence at special family celebrations and holiday events to recreate family closeness for the child only feed the child's fantasy and delay his adjustment. The dependent child's short term reaction to divorce can be an anxious one. So much is different, new, unpredictable, and unknown that life becomes filled with scary questions? "What is going to happen to next?" "Who will take care of me?" "If my parents can lose for each other, can they lose love for me?" "With one parent moving out, what if I lose the other too?" Answering such worry questions with worst fears, the child's response can be regressive. By reverting to a former way of functioning, more parental care-taking may be forthcoming. There can be separation anxieties, crying at bed times, breaking toilet training, bed-wetting, clinging, whining, tantrums, and temporary loss of established self-care skills, all of which can compel parental attention. The child wants to feel more connected in a family situation where a major disconnection has occurred. Regression to earlier dependency can partly be an effort to elicit parental concern, bringing them close when divorce has pulled each of them further away - the resident parent now busier and more preoccupied, the absent parent simply less available because of being less around. The more independent-minded adolescent tends to deal more aggressively to divorce, often reacting in a mad, rebellious way, more resolved to disregard family discipline and take care of himself since parents have failed to keep commitments to family that were originally made. Where the child may have tried to get parents back, the adolescent may try to get back at parents. Where the child felt grief, the adolescence has a grievance. "If they can't be trusted to stay together and take care of the family, then I need to start relying more on myself." "If they can break their marriage and put themselves first, then I can put myself first too." "If they don't mind hurting me, then I can I don't mind hurting them." Now the adolescent can act aggressively to take control of his life by behaving even more distantly and defiantly, more determined to live his life his way, more dedicated to his self-interest than before. He feels increasingly autonomous in a family situation that feels disconnected. He now feels more impelled and entitled to act on his own. For the parent who divorces with an adolescent, the young person's increased dedication to self-interest must be harnessed by insisting on increased responsibility as more separation and independence from family occurs. For the parent who divorces with a child, the priority is establishing a sense of family order and predictability. This means observing the three R's required to restore a child's trust in security, familiarity, and dependency - Routines, Rituals, and Reassurance. Thus parents establish household and visitation Routines so the child knows what to expect. They allow the child to create Rituals to feel more in control of her life. And they provide continual Reassurance that the parents are as lovingly connected to the child as ever, and are committed to the making this new family arrangement work.

tunde1200:Sometimes we must make sacrifices for the ones we love. That is what true love is all about. Nobody can be 100%perfect in all aspects...that kind of individual only exists in heaven. If she cannot meet up with your sexual desires, try and find other means to get pleasure from her. It could be through simply sleeping together on the same bed or talking about your day, your joys and fears. Better communication between the both of you might even lead to better sex. I hope you didn't find out she was cheating on you sha? |
1. Learn to use spacing. When you jam your paragraphs together like this it is difficult to read and people will quickly get tired. Space your work. 2. Stop apologising too much ![]() 3. Your use of tenses. You alternate between present and past e.g the krain walks before me but he walked so slowly that I wanted to push him. It should be 'the krain walks before me but he walks so slowly that I want to push him. OR 'the krain walked before me but he walked so slowly that I wanted to push him. Use only one tense for your entire story for it to flow properly. I love sci-fi ![]() |
Dr Stephan stayed with them for a week. During that time they got to know each other better. Dr Stephan was an easy going fellow, not at all like Dr Burke who was always uptight and wanted everything done by the book. Dr Stephan was a huge man, almost as big as Efe, with blonde hair and blue eyes. He maintained a cheerful countenance most of the time but on one or two occasions, Silas had caught him in a depressed mood as his condition slowly deteriorated. Dr Stephan had lost his wife and five kids to the virus; they were wandering about outside somewhere probably munching on other humans. It was a depressing thought. In desperation to find a cure and get his family back, Dr Stephan had injected himself with what he hoped was the antidote to the zombie epidemic. It had been a partial success in that he had retained his senses and when bitten by other zombies he hadn’t changed, but sadly it wasn’t a complete success. The zombie virus was slowly taking over, decaying his flesh and making him more ravenous by the day. He controlled the rate of change by injecting himself every two days the intervals between which he had been working vigorously for the cure until some of his ‘test subjects’ had somehow escaped from the room he had kept them. Before he knew it his place had been overrun by the zombies and he had to run for his life. He had brought some of his equipment in a small rubber bag and had set them up as soon as Dr Burke had allowed him settle in the first room. Dr burke on the other hand was having issues with authority. Dr Stephan outranked him and had been ordering him about since he came in. It wasn’t really his fault though as Dr burke had raised a glass cubicle around him from doors Silas and Caleb had been made to get from the corridor outside. Although Dr burke was glad to have a scientist of like mind with him engaging him in meaningful discussions, he didn’t like being bossed around. He saw the occasional smirk from Silas and Caleb as they giggled behind his back when Dr Stephan sent him on an errand and he didn’t like it. Stephan had always been a bossy sort but he had a good head albeit sometimes crazy, on his shoulders. Even now the antidote he was working on was a brilliant piece of work and Dr burke felt it held much promise. “I’m almost there, Burke.” Silas would say, grinning that ghoulish zombie grin at him from behind the glass paneling. “I’ve almost got it!” “Good, because the sooner you get it the sooner you can come out of this glass cage.” Dr Burke said to him the last time they had discussed. Caleb spent that week keeping his mind off his dead friends by working out. He would wake up earlier than the others and begin his bench presses. He would run around the small cubicle hundreds of times, engage in sit-ups and pushups and any other exercise activity he could think of. He kept himself fit and strong and even Silas was inspired once in a while to join. Silas didn’t quite trust Dr. Stephan. He watched him warily from beside the door and made sure he never went anywhere unescorted especially the bathroom. As far as Silas was concerned, Stephan was a disaster waiting to happen and he kept on sleeping with one eye open in case Dr Stephan suddenly went crazy. One day, they were all awakened early in the morning by a loud shout from Dr Stephan. Arming himself, Silas was the first to reach the control room and saw Dr Stephan jumping up and down and laughing with joy. “I did it! I did it! I did it!” he kept on repeating as he pranced about in his glass cubicle. He waved his clenched fist in the air as the others surrounded him. “I’ve gotten the antidote!” “That’s great!” Caleb smiled. “But how do you know it works?” Dr Burke asked. Dr Stephan smiled and, taking a sample of the substance with a dropper, he put two drops in his mouth. “I have made it both oral and injectable.” He said. “Wait for it…I thought I’d wait for you guys to be around before I did this!” They all watched expectantly. Suddenly a little colour came into Dr Stephan’s dead-like face. Blood gushed out of a cut below his left eye that had previously looked dried up and dead. Dr Stephan buckled over in obvious pain and started to convulse violently. Dr Burke quickly wore gloves and rushed into the glass cage, trying to keep him still. Caleb also rushed in to help. In a moment it was all over. Stephan lay on the floor as if in deep sleep, his colour back, his body and skin restored although covered in a lot of sweat. “This is amazing.” Caleb said quietly. Dr burke nodded. “He has always been a bit of a genius.” Dr Stephan stirred and sat up groggily. He was bleeding from a lot of small cuts here and there, but he was grinning all the same. “I feel like shit but it was worth it! I feel human again!” He exclaimed. “Now, now, calm down.” Dr burke said. “You are bleeding all over the place.” “That’s a good thing! It means my heart is pumping again! I am officially undead, and not just undead undead but really undead!” “Okay, you are becoming incoherent.” Dr Stephan got to his feet. “We need to test it.” “How?” Dr burke asked, his eyes widening. Dr Stephan smiled. “Its zombie catching time.” |
