Below is a conversation I saw on my husband's phone with a girl he once asked out, which he claimed that d said lady didn't date him.

He told her he is always picturing her face everyday and she is d wife he never had.

I confronted him and he says that d conversation meant nothing and apologised. And also said if he knew the conversation would make me angry he would ve deleted it from his phone.

But my point hear is dat he is flirting he has cheated on me about twice that i am aware of and it looks as if he won't stop. I need maturity advice. Is the the above statement just a mere conversation or is there more to it. Thanks.
There is more to it. He was flirting.
Stop any long standing argument you have with him. Whatever it is, talk it out.
Stop any grudge or bitterness you guys are keeping in the house.
Be a good wife. Serve him his food on time and respectfully.
Stop looking through his phone. It makes you apprehensive and distrustful and you wont feel peace till you find something like this and even then you still wont feel peace.
When last did you have sex? How often? Bleep him more regularly.

Do all this and he will lose interest in looking outside.

A mother and her child were walking along a dark street, suddenly two harmed men came out and confronted them, one of the armed men took the child apart and the other one began to hit the woman, punching her really hard, pushed her on the floor and began to hit her, while her son watches in horror.

Tag: theunusualmoon, Honourhim
SCENARIO 1:
Lets assume the woman is really the mother of this child:-
She just divorced her husband who had no chance at custody of his child in the western law courts which tend to favour women in a divorce. In fact she has been using this child as a sex slave and her ex husband just found out. In fact she is just coming back from a clients place who has just had his way with the child. That is why they are walking along the dark alley at this time of the night instead of being safely in their house. So ex who has been tailing them uses this opportunity to mete out some jungle justice.
Is it wrong? Yes.
Does she deserve it? What do you think.

Swear that the above scenario isn't possible.

SCENARIO 2:
The mother is a drug addict and thief. She has been owing the cartel some money and has refused to pay up. These two men are from the cartel and the beat-up is a warning to pay up. Remember the op said they didn't come to steal anything, just beat her up in front of her son.
Is it in bad taste? Yes.
Is it God's fault she is being beaten for her wrong choices? I don't think so.

SCENARIO 3
The woman went for a rock concert that finished late in the night. Ignoring all common sense to stay where she is and being high on alcohol, she insists on going home at that dangerous time of the night and picks up her son from where she dropped him and trudges home. Even when she sees the dark alley she ignores the warning signs and walks right in. Its like those prophets who deliberately enter the lion's den in ibadan zoo because they want to be like Daniel. Of course they will get eaten.

Is her experience a good one? No.
Will she learn from this experience if she survives it? Hopefully Yes.
Is God to blame for her bad choice in going to a rock concert and coming back late at night? Definitely not. That's free will foe you. YOU TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR ACTIONS.

You see the three different permutations I came up with for that singular scenario? Am sure a more intelligent person can come up with more.

There is a real battle going on, the battle of good and evil over every soul on earth. Unfortunately good and evil don't play by the same rules. Evil is going to do all it can, including smear campaigns to win as many souls as possible; not because evil wins at the end but just to spite the Eternal one by making him lose as many souls a possible.

You have free will. Choose a side. Just remember you and only you will be solely responsible for the consequences.

Meanwhile GOD is sitted on his throne watching this happen.
Me: GOD why don't you do something to stop this man from hurting the poor mother?
GOD: I am not supposed to stop him from harming the mother because that would be interfering with his freewill.
Me: So you want him to be able to exercise his freewill to decide by himself not to hurt the mother again, right?
GOD: Yes exactly.
Me: OK you have preserved the freewill of the man now.
GOD: Yes I have.
Me: What about the mother,is it her freewill to be beaten up by the man?
GOD: Hmmmm,no it's not her freewill.
Me: So that means you are in favour of the armed man's freewill and against the freewill of the mother.
GOD: it seems that way,but that's not how it is.
Me: since you care about everyone's freewill why don't you save the mother since She hasn't done anything wrong to deserve the beating?
GOD: I am not supposed to do that,I am supposed to remain hidden.
Me: So by splitting the red sea into two, turning water into wine, turning a stick into snake, making a tree catch fire without getting burnt, bring a whole human (Jesus) to be the saviour of the world is being hidden? So you would rather be hidden than save the poor woman.
GOD: shutup!!!!!! I am GOD how dare you question me? Don't you know my ways are mysterious! Human comprehension cannot understand me. Just shutup!!
Me: So why do we have the Bible then? Since we cant understand your ways.

see all the confusion, the op asked a simple question and no one could answer him, so many unanswered questions in Christianity yet people follow blindly, accept islam before is too late, the QUR'AN teaches us that ALLAH forgave adam and eve after adam prayed for forgiveness for both of them, ALLAH is just and cannot make one person bear the sins of another, ALLAH made it clear in the qur'an that the SATAN deceived adam and eve and made them eat from the forbidden tree but ALLAH forgave adam and eve because HE is all forgiving and all merciful.

no matter how they try to hide the beauty of islam by calling us terrorists, the beauty of islam will always shine besides it was not the SULTAN's jet that was caught with weapons, it is that of the CAN president.
Abeg go back to your section, there is no confusion here. We are just not as intolerant as you are when discussing issues. Byebye.

I am not a rude person...I am civil....Go on bro..Let's talk objectively...
Its simple, really. You have to get rid of that 'kindergarten Christianity ' your CRS teacher taught you. Adam wasn't the first man that God created.
Its right there in the bible but its amazing how many people miss it.

God created man on the 6th day, man and woman he created him, men and women he created them. And he set them on the surface of the earth and gave them dominion and said to them "be fruitful and multlply..." You get it.

On the 7th day God rested. Creation story over.

Then wayyyy over in chapter 2 God creates a man(one, singluar special man) and places him in the garden of Eden. He eventually gives that man a woman(eve) and they have sons . Cain kills Abel over a small matter of acceptance and he is sent into exile by God.

But Cain knows he is going to where other men are...unruly men that will kill him at the drop of a hat. So he begs God to have pity on him. God answers by marking Cain with a special mark so that any other man who sees Cain will not kill him. That is how Cain survived outside the borders of Eden. That is also where Cain gets his wife from.

Compare genesis 1:27 with Genesis 2:7

Genesis 1:27New International Version (NIV)
27
So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them

Genesis 2:7-9New International Version (NIV)

7 Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

8 Now the Lord God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed. 9 The Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground—trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

C'est finis.

i was with some preachers today, they kept ringing on and on how jesus came to die for the sins of mankind so that mankind can be forgiven.
i asked them a simple question "why couldnt God just forgive mankind instead of murdering his son, i thought he was all powerful, all good and all merciful and loving. must he kill his son before forgiving huh
Let me answer in plain English and leave the bible quotes for the scholars.

1. God is the alpha and omega. He is the final authority in the entire universe. So His word is law. Once he says something it becomes a rule. You can try and imagine what a great burden this is.

2. God said nothing containing sin will ever enter heaven. EVER. It is a rule and it will be maintained for all eternity.

3. For sin to be washed off, a sacrifice must be made. It is a rule that has been there since the beginning. There is no going around it.

4. God has been looking for an easy way for man to join him in heaven. He tried different methods all through the old testament, but man has remained corrupt. Sin did that. Sin is the ultimate virus. A spiritual virus that prevents man from being with God. Even if God comes down today and says 'Here I am' people will still sin.

5. God doesn't want man to perish. But with sin in man's heart, man cannot enter heaven. And as long as man remains on this corrupt earth he is exposed to this virus of sin every second. So how does God handle this?

6. He creates a super antivirus. He asks the heavenly beings for a volunteer to make the ultimate sacrifice. Remember the only way to remove sin is with a sacrifice. God cant just tell man 'Enter heaven." because there is already a law in place against sin entering heaven.

7. Do you know none of the heavenly beings agreed to go? They knew it involved the shedding of blood, their blood. If they loved their precious humanity so much, how come they hesitated when it came to laying their life for them? Anyway that's another story...the issue is, nobody came forward and God called out over and over and nobody came forward until...His own son, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, stood up and offered to go.

8. Jesus knew he was going to suffer and be sacrificed. He knew the plan. He knew he would be humiliated and made to go through things no heavenly prince would tolerate. Even the angels were not in support. But still he insisted on going out of his great love for mankind because he knew about the law and he knew there was no other way.

9. You know the rest. Its in that compedium of stories you guys call the bible. He allowed his blood to be shed so it could be used for all eternity as an all covering antivirus against any kind of sin. And its so darn easy to receive that people don't even see its value. People will still refuse it and never see heaven. Those who know of its value will use it to enter heaven and God's presence.

That's it.

3. If you can promise to be civil I will answer the issue of Cain if you want.

4. I still say ALL the questions he asked have easy explanations. You just need to have a little knowledge to answer them that's all.

that is great @ op!! Because you just made me make lot of reaearch on my bible now.... I dnt knw why u all cant answer a question and not that some christain can reason like this to get some truth.. We are comfortable at pastors and teachers teaching us becos we are too lazy to search and ask questions and Just because somebody is asking a question and geting your opinion doesn't make him a fool and doesn't make you some christain better than him in any way. We christains at times are the biggest opposition!!! If somebody could think and ask such a question. I tink such question needs an answer..if you can't contribute you keep your mouth shut rather than to oppose and intimidate. Some atheist are better than some we christains who can't even think and ask questions.. Because we are too gullible to accept everytin some so called pastors and teachers preach..honestly if we christains reason the way some atheist think and proffer solution to the question then we won't be in this Religious mess in NIGERIA....
1, The bible is not for research. It is for you to have faith and believe. If you cant read the bible with faith then it will remain a storybook to you.

2, the op isn't looking for answers, not from man anyway. He addressed the letter to God. Are you God?

3, All the questions he asked has answers. There is nothing mysterious in what he asked. Which begs the question: Did he ask it to seek knowledge? Or to ridicule? Read through the questions again and the way he addresses the letter in some paragraphs. Would you write a letter using such words to the president of the united states talk less of the Creator of the Universe ?

Yes some christians are shallow...but this guy is just looking to ridicule. Nothing more.

The issue of resurrection from death had always
been a problem and an argument to the Jewish. If
anyone wants to create a religion in among such
people he should had considered this.
Even to the Greek who are always looking for new
ideas and beliefs, they see resurrection from death
as foolishness.
Why will anybody in is right mind come up with the
story of a man who resurrected from death,
knowing that it will be difficult for both the Jewish
and the Greek to believe?
OK after they have come up with the whole story
and realize that it's causing a lot of problem why
didn't they abandon it and try to save their lives or
maybe try to change a little here and there?
Paul mentioned something like he was ready to go
to hell if that would make the Jews believe. He
knew the main reason why the Jews didn't believe
is because he insisted that Christians do not need to
be circumcised nor follow any of the Mosaic law.
Well if Paul badly wants the Jews to believe he
should have allowed at least some of the Mosaic
into Christianity.
I think the problem with christians and athiests on this forum is their shallow knowledge and how they so like to showcase this shallowness like a badge of honour.
Most of them don't even know how christians suffered to spread the gospel. If it was mere fable, man-made as atheists would have us believe, the movement would have died out by now. If it was mass hysteria it would have run its course. Many people have a watered down version of what Christ and the early apostles went through and our modern day pastors don't help when they preach success, wealth and a perfect life instead of sacrifice, holiness and a focus on the after-life and not the distractions of this world.

ayoku777:
Its for two reasons I think:

1: There is a difference between pardon and remission.

Sin is divided into Cause (The act of disobedience), Consequence (guilt or sorrow or pain) and Condemnation (death)

Pardon only waves the act of disobedience; it doesn't wave the resultant sorrow and pain or the eventual death.

You told your child not to plat outside after dark, he disobeys you and got bitten by a snake. You may pardon his disobedience, but he is still in pain and will still die if nothing is done.

God pardoned the sin of the children of Israel in the wilderness, but that generation still all perished in that wilderness. Because pardon isn't remission.

Numbers 14v20-23 -And the Lord said, I have pardoned according to thy word: But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord.

Because all those men, which have seen my glory.... And have tempted me now these ten times...

Surely they shall not see the which I swear unto their fathers.

Pardon didn't remove consequence (not see the land) or condemnation (perishing in the wilderness).

God also pardoned David, for adultery with Bathsheba and the death of Uriah, but the child still died, and Absalom (his son) still slept with all the concubines of David (which was the curse of the sin)

Pardon doesn't remove the consequence and the condemnation of the sin. Only remission does. And remission is ONLY BY THE SHEDDING OF (sinless) BLOOD.

Jesus, the Son of the living God is the only one that could bring remission for our sins (cause, consequence and condemnation); through His death.

2: The second reason Jesus had to die, I think is because forgiveness doesn't make us new creation.

Jesus had to die and resurrect, to become the first begotten from the dead and the firstborn of the new creation.

So that those who put their faith in His death and resurrection, can become new creation too.

His death brought remission, His resurrection brought the new creation. So a christian is more than just a forgiven sinner, he is a new creation.

A mere pardon couldn't have given man remission much less made us new creation. Only death and resurrection could pull that off.

I hope this helps a little.
I am 100% sure the op didn't read this your post. At best he glanced at the beginning and the end so he could answer you in context. The op is not looking for genuine answers, just a way to ridicule as many 'christians' as he possibly can.

But these questions are also the beginning of atheism na. Some atheists look at the birds in the air, the clouds, the heavens and at nature all around them and wonder how a perfect God could have been responsible for everything. I guess it boils down to how one feels about the universe, whether overall it is a good package, or not.
I don't get you. Were they expecting an imperfect God to create the complexity around them?
Atheists are a confused bunch if so.
Nairaland General › Re: Post by 5minsmadness: 5:13pm On Dec 04, 2014
An "atheist" and a christian can never see eye to eye because they are both speaking different languages. The christian has faith, that is a belief in something he cannot see. An atheist sees this as foolishness. But anytime the atheist looks up into the sky and sees the birds in the air, the clouds, the heavens, and takes time to look at nature all around him his soul starts to ask questions. It is these questions that are the beginning of faith. Alas the atheist will always do all in his power to supress these questions from coming to mind, to supress the movements of his soul because the moment he begins to wonder...is the moment his faith in 'nothing' will be shaken.

Further questions Baba God... Why did you not proffer reasonable solutions to life problems when you came to earth in form of your son (what ever that means)? I mean, while you were on earth as a human you were busy changing water to wine, walking on water, fasting for forty days!, and preaching your gospel. but you didnt even thought about making cars... you were trekking around for your (God's) sake. You didnt think of using micro phones to talk to above 5000 crowds of people, you were shouting, how in the world did five thousand people hear you. Why is it that your disciples are changing from your methods of preaching. Are they trying to say you are old fashioned.
Baba God, you would have used the opportunity to bring us technology, medical solutions etc, instead to dwelt in teaching us magic and threatening us with hell.
further.. why did you make the time for your coming again a secret. what do you stand to gain by catching us off guard? you like tricks right? Again... when man fell, why didnt you proffer a better solution immediately to make life better for your creations. You sound like a poor planner really.

when will we get an updated version of the bible given the changes that we have seen in events.
Still frustrated I see.
