We all know your motive for opening this thread. Stop wearing over it the cloak of "extreme feminism".
Don't give me that load of crap. Some people are having comprehension difficulties. Reminds me of my primary school days when they give you a passage to read then ask questions from same passage. Madam, read the topic again, look through my 10 behaviours of an extreme nairaland feminist, check well, its the first post. Now answer your own question from the passage and define "Extreme" You have five mins to answer this question. |

Alas, you never wanted to discuss NL extreme feminists but NL feminists.
Good one
Feminism, feminist and bolded. Buka buka, Why persistently lump all feminsts together when I clearly dileanated them from the beginning with my topic? Looking for support are we? Like I said, thier ability to misinterpret information is amazing. I cant keep writing "Extreme" feminist in all my posts. Focus on the title. Or focus on what you like...I dont care. Whatever makes you feel more empowered |

Truckpusher: You probably didn't read my posts well with an open mind. I did. Your opinions are archaeic. Women dont "Live in fear" anymore unless they are threathened by criminal elements. Some people still prefer male children but its nto like they are going to throw away or kill the female ones Feminism has lost its appeal. The women have been given thier chance, and they used it to turn the term "Babymama" into a career and divorce into a buisness. They take no responsibility for thier actions and blame everyone else(men and women who dont agree with them) except themselves for their short falls. They've had thier chance and they blew it. They should take a back seat and not engage in the pity parties of breaking toilet seats and cyberbullying men that did not contribute in any way to thier misery. |

VictoriaBee: Mary a woman bore the saviour of our world. So? Mary Magadalene a woman saw the opened tomb of Jesus first. So? Eve gave Adam an apple and he ate without questioning her - doesn't that portray how weak men are? I can use these points to arrive at my point that women are above men but i believe in EQUALITY. Huh |

What you said was wrong. I have no problem with gender discrimination which by the way is not as bad anymore as you painted it. You can be a feminist without being a pain in the as5, that's all I'm trying to say. |

misssclassy: First of all, most Nairaland feminists are smarter and more intelligent than their other female counterparts. Prove me wrong if you can.
Now watch as I debunk your baseless claims.
1. Feminists are not extremely rude. In fact, they are very polite. It's only when you provoke or insult them that they show you their other sides.
2. Like I said before, Nairaland feminists are not rude or disrespectful. If by being respectful you mean "licking asss" or being sycophantic in their comments, then you must be on a long thing, because We don't like asss.
3. Feminists don't hate men. We only hate the fact that men feel they are better or of a higher class than us. And as such we should treat them like our superiors and accord them such respect. Feminism is all about a believe in the equality of the sexes so if we see a man who feels he is above us, or he is more superior than us, we will prove to him that he is not. Not that we hate him.
4. Nairaland feminists are not biased. I myself I am not biased. I say things as I see them and I know a lot of ladies who aren't biased in anyway.
5. Feminists are not delusional to themselves or the society. And who the hell told you that feminists find single or divorced mother more appealing? A lot of feminists embrace the concept of marriage and long for the day they get married. The only thing is that she would want her husband to respect her views on feminism, even if he doesn't support it. Come on, there are acclaimed feminists who are happily married. You have the likes of Beyonce and Chimamanda
6)I don't know where you got this idea from but you are wrong. Most feminists here on nairaland are not even married so how would they understand a marriage situation and what to do when they have issues. That being said, a feminist would never advice a lady to leave her marriage because of simple issues that can be handled through other means. Except the person isn't using her brains.
7)There are many Nairalander who are championing the cause of feminism and at the same time are still dedicated to their religions.
8 )You are the one making a hasty generalization with this point you gave. Everyone has a right to their opinion and views. You can't force someone to join in your cause. Because someone doesn't support your views doesn't mean the person is "bad" Feminists don't see men who don't share their views in the way you just described.
9) I am a feminist and I won't describe myself as naïve. I have had experiences in life and those experiences have shaped my mind and the way I view things. The topic is 10 Behaviors of an Extreme nairaland feminist. It doesn't cover all feminists only the badly behaves ones. But as usual You and myndd have quickly jumped to conclusions. Your 2,4,5,6 and 7 are Lies by the way. Either that or you are not aware of what your fellow feminists have been up to. |

Feminism as a word has been viewed with much hatred by male and female folk alike even though the feminist movement is supposed to be a noble cause i.e fighting gender discrimination.
So what has caused such strong animosity between feminists and other sane individuals? I think females who exhibit feminism to the extreme are to blame and they usually have the following characteristics :
1. Extremely rude. One cannot hold a reasonable discussion with these feminists without it turning to an insult fest especially when the other respondent is male.
2. Disrespectful. Just because you are a feminist doesn't mean you should be rude to others around you.
3. Man hating. Anything to do with the male folk they are immediately up in arms about it. Everything about men is bad. Except for thier brothers, fathers and husbands.
4. Biased. As long as it's an argument/fight concerning a man and a woman such feminists will always support the woman even if what she did was totally wrong.
5. Delusional towards themselves and society. They believe a single mother or divorced woman is more appealing to the male folk than women without any excess baggage. They are ready to defend this anywhere since it falls in line with a woman being empowered and able to leave a marriage at anytime.
6. Anti-marriage. They don't believe in making marriage work. Once the man is giving you a little stress it's time to pack up and leave. Marriage is not a loving union to them, rather it is slavery. Divorce is the solution to every little problem. And thier mantra is they will be happy when divorced. This is a blatant lie but they would want to believe it with all thier heart.
7. Anti-christ. Of course since Christianity used that terrible phrase "submit to your husbands" they have been crying foul. Many of them would rather turn atheist than follow this simple principle of leadership i.e a follower must submit to a leader. They would rather deceive themselves by saying they are a "team" and taking decisions "jointly."
8. Seeing evil in everything male. They make Hasty generalizations with every male they come across. Any male that does not agree with the feminist view is a cheat, a slave master who sits in the parlour all day and drinks beer while his slave wife works in the kitchen, a wife beater or a rapist. This comes across as very infuriating and discouraging for the good men out there.
9 Naive/Young. Many of these rude hateful feminists have not really had any real life experiences. They just blab at things they can't do if they were the ones in the same situation.
10. They like using the word "Hypocrite", even though by their very actions they are the most hypocritical bunch of people.
Many other characters of nairaland extreme feminists abound. You can add yours. |

bukatyne: Hmmm...
I remember the case of a husband whose wife used to beat him because he was verbally abusive (here on NL). This went on for two years till the husband as usual verbally abused the wife who beat him back and he responded with two slaps...
The family resolved the issue with everyone standing off.
Perhaps wives should also slap/beat verbally abusive husbands. Oh, I'm very sure they would if they could. What with all the cases of househelp abuse we see everyday, it's a definite fact that men are not the custodians of physical abuse. I would even go so far as to say that women are more violent when given the chance to be physically abusive. |

mcdokwe: maybe no but she needs to realize the damage she's causing and stop already Maybe no or maybe yes. Some women are beaten for no reason at all. Those women deserve to be pitied. But the truth has to be told that some women provoke thier husbands to beat them. By the time they receive a pounding or two they will tone down on thier verbal abuse. Brutal and wrong, yes. But very effective. |

If it is true though.. meanwhile do you think her game is tight...although there is no indication he has cheated on her after the marriage . What do you mean by 'if her game is tight'? If it's the sex thing then no, i don't think so. If hubby really was the one in that video then it's possible he was having a last minute adventure before taking the ultimate step of "I do." I think she' ll be making a mistake to leave the marriage... If the story is true. |

kandiikane: We are but the op is dealing with her husband so until she gets back....I just want to understand it from your perspective.
That's a lie or you have been with small girls. Like I said, if there is a mutual understanding, then you should know where you stand. In all my years, I have never heard a single female complain/angry about going to a man's house and the man didn't try to move to her, unless, there was that understanding that something may happen via previous conversations. Even that, no such conversations of it out of anger, yes, there may be conversations of what did not happen but not because of anger but just the jist that the thing that was expected did not happen. If you have only been having casual conversations, I don't think you should jump the gun if that understanding has not been established.
What I see here is just you making assumptions, because a female comes to your house she's expecting the D. She might, she might not. She might even be expecting it another day. So is it because of the mentality that something may be wrong somewhere or she will go talk about the guy that many turn themselves into criminals overnight by committing ra.pe? It's not a lie and none of the girls were less than 23. Anyway like someone said, different people have different experiences. I wasn't raised to see women as sex objects but the truth is some of these ladies don't behave like ladies despite passing through the four corners of a university. Op (sophy/vic) has deactivated. I guess the shouting match didn't end very well. |
Family › Re: My God! My God!! Who Have I Married?? by 5minsmadness: 5:42pm On Jun 21, 2015 |
Shollypopzz: I find your second statement to be very interesting. Why would say that?? (And I'm not talking of gold-diggers, I'm talking about ur average chic) Cos they don't see the man in his natural habitat. They want to be taken to shoprite. They want to watch movies at Silverbird. They want shoes brought at Taras. They want to drive in flashy cars and go for parties in clubs. The only time they finally come over to a guys crib is to Fuxk and by then their minds are clouded with the impression the man has given them that he is Wealthy and loving and living the good life. Most women marry men for their wealth and the good times they have shown them, not for their character. |
