I believe I implied the bolded in a previous post.

If not and by rapport, you mean some form of sexual tension that needs to be released once they see each other at his place?

This means any woman who has not established such rapport is asking to be ra.ped?

Or, should not trust any man who asks for a visit to his home?

If this is what you mean, speaking objectively, do you feel it is ok, to make men seems like they cannot be amicable with the opposite sex without sexual frustration?
We are derailing.
However.

I have had more than one occasion where I have invited a relatively new chic to my house and catered to her needs without engaging in any sexual overtures. The results are always the same. They go home and start gossiping how u are a prude or you don't like sex or you don't like them. This "come to my house" syndrome is not just an affectation of the male species alone. Females feel if they come to your house and spend the night and you don't make a move towards them then there is something wrong somewhere.

Don't be so sure about that o.
The problem is that the average Nigerian lady is not willing to demand their fair share of respect from their man.
I mean what is even there to demandhuh
Ask them what they intend to make out of their lives in the next five years and the majority will just start gawking like demented heifers.
Ask some guys how their mothers dealt with them during the turbulent phase of adolescence. Firm but loving. Consequences for actions or inactions were clearly spelt out. (for them good mothers o). There were boundaries and they were adhered to.
Today's woman is more interested in replicating mill and boons in real life than taking more pragmatic approaches toward their marriages. Whilst that in itself is not a bad idea but then again no sensible person goes about cutting down a tree by plucking the leaves.
Marriage today is a contract where the negotiation for value is a till-death-do-us-part activity - a staring contest if you like.
The moment the woman thinks she can get a better offer outside, the husband is gone. The moment the man notices that he can cut a better deal on the sides he goes for it. The latter is more prevalent because the man, in most cases, sports the bulk of their combined financial muscle.
Happy marriages are those where both parties have acknowledged that the value they provide for each other is worth way more than any side attraction can offer. Where the man goes out of his way to please his wife and the woman won't stop at anything to cater to her husband's needs.

I refuse to accept that the woman is suppressed. I think the movement of society's focus from moralist/socialist foundations to capitalistic tendencies is more to blame. The women of the last generation had to combat with the inculcation of monogamy in their men thanks to Christianity and when it seemed like they were succeeding the "sex sells" adverts started to receive attention. Their target - those with the most money to throw around -men. Then morals boundaries became a question of "how much do you want?" . Women became more open to trading their morals for money. Young men who couldn't meet up were forced to step up and those who did wouldn't settle for less and whenever there appeared a better deal they stepped up yet again and the woman again is left with the shorter end of the stick. This is the reality of most of today's marriages.

The unfortunate thing is that both good women and men are the victims of this vicious cycle and it is not going to end anytime soon.
Trust is dead today. Everyone is as loyal as their pockets' depth.
Are there still good people?
Yes.
How can you find them?
I don't know. Try Tum bum tum bum... grin grin
Very deep post my good man.
Well said.

Are u sure the story of your friend marrying another woman abroad is true? Have u confirmed it? Why would he go on his knees to beg to marry the sickle cell girl only for him to go after a white woman a short time later? Are u sure it's not visa runs and green card marriage he is doing?

Call your friend and find out the true facts from him. All of you seem to be jumping to conclusions.

14. What’s the one thing you have in
common that transcends everything
else?
We are both Christians and believe in God.
Marriage is a
commitment to the Lord.
We pray with and for each other
every day
.

Beautiful answer. To them marriage was a commitment to God, not to themselves. Human beings are imperfect and can fail at anytime but God is perfect and will never change. His standards will last for a lifetime as it clearly did here.

HOW IS SHOUTING & BREAKING THINGS GOING TO HELP THEM. PLEASE, DESIST FROM GIVING CHILDISH OR IN THIS CASE, AFOOLISH ADVICE.
Wasting your time.
Emotion and blackmail has taken over the thread. A pity party has formed. If your opinion doesn't go with the flow of the thread you are shouted out.

A woman finds a pre-marriage sex tape on her otherwise perfect husband's laptop. She catches him red handed but refuses to confront him. What is she waiting for. There is a saying that misery loves company. That is what is happening right now. There are even some ladies who want to befriend the op and see her as great simply because of what she is going thru. To what end? To offer comfort or to hear gist?

Op should confront her husband or continue enjoying the pity party she is getting here. It has almost entered full swing. One or two monikers left.

There is a moniker that is conspicuously absent. Not that it matters but if it is her it will be very interesting to know how she handles this.

Op break up with him or forgive, it's your choice. But like other people have said if you don't confront him to get the full story then you are still working under assumptions. Why would a kind and loving husband (like you described) do a thing like this? You deserve to know.

Family › Re: Please Advice, Is My Friend's Marriage Heading For A Crash? by 5minsmadness: 12:27am On Jun 21, 2015
Delary:
My friend, who is working with one of the federal government parastatals, married an intelligent lady who is teaching in a private school. before the marriage, they dated for six (6) years. during this time of dating, the lady comes around to do his laundary, cooking & sweeping; this she made a serious point of duty and frawns at the guy any time he makes an attemt to do any of the above chores. now that they are married, even before the lady took in, she had started complaning that the guy is stressing her up with those three chores (Recall: cooking, laundary & sweeping). the problem is that the guy closes work by 4pm while the wife closes by 2pm. d man comes back from work ensures there are water for d house then he goes to take his bath and retires to his bed to take a nap. so, most times, d intelligent wife comes to complain that he left d entire work for her and they usally have misunderstanding on dis.
Please, give ur candid advive to this couple to save their young marriage. THANKS IN ANTICIPATION!!
The intelligent girl trapped him by pretending to be good wife material. Now marriage don come she is showing her true colours. Sad but such is life.

He should help her in doing some more of the house chores so her burdens can be lighter. Fetching water is not enough. He can do the laundry too and leave the cooking and cleaning for her.

This lady is Indeed Confused.
If this story is false then u r a really good actress.
Sophy, is that you?
If true anyway kpele, sorry oh, you must be really devastated.

However I wonder why he didn't touch your virginity until two weeks post marriage. That hints at issues in your sex life.

It's a terrible thing for women to hear but honestly men tend to separate sex from love. They can be the perfect gentleman to you and serve you breakfast in bed and give thier lives for you, but when it comes to sex men hardly compromise. If you don't give it to them right they will go outside. It's not right. It's not fair. But it's the truth.

Once again. Sorry. I don't think you should break up your marriage cos of this but then again it's a free world and the decision lies with you. I honestly feel it would be better if you table your matter and your next course of action to a fellow married woman. You might get better advice there than from single ladies here who are going to speak with emotion.

All the best. Kpele.

No need to get defensive, if they are silly insinuations, why are you getting angry about it? Not that I give a hoot anyways but the back and forth between you two is distracting, plus it can be seen that you always initiate it.

Act like a mature adult and ask him out, instead of the childish banter, a guy calls you all those names and yet you won't leave him be.

I honestly do not know him to be promiscuous! Yes, he's not perfect.. Yes he has his faults. But promiscuity is one fault I did not find in him.

In fact, it was one thing I should have questioned. I should have dug deep. Carried out my investigation on this particular incidence.
How are you certain it was him if he was sitting on the chair? Who recorded the video? Was his back was to the camera? Did you see his face?

I recently acquired a BMW 1999 model (3 series) and am trying to put it in shape. The engine is strong but the gear is a nightmare. Changing gears is virtually impossible although it sometimes falls into gear 1 if coaxed properly.

Pls does anyone have any idea how much a new/Belgium gear will cost and where I can get one?

fem29:
ehnn the issue is subjective. The mum in law may mean no harm. He may just be reading meaning into things that are happening innocently. Eg the food, maybe she is just that kind of person that is carefree and does that kind of thing. He may not be used to it so it doesn't sit right with him. Also the bathroom, like may people have said, it was unlocked, it may simply have been accidental. So no need to make a hullabaloo about it, just let her know you don't like it.

If he lets her know he doesn't like those actions, if she is indeed trying to seduce him, she will know he doesn't want. If she is not, she will be more careful of her actions.
Well said.
The main issue is that she doesn't do these things when the wife is around. She keeps strictly to herself or she chats with her daughter. As soon as the wife leaves for night duty she gets a little overly active e.g eating from his plate even though there is a pot of food in the kitchen for her to serve herself etc. The bathroom thing was what upset him the most.

The fear now is that like u said it might be purely coincidental and he doesn't want to offend his wife by raising unnecessary dust.
