OfoIgbo: I hope you know that the Niger Delta drastically reduces in significance, once the Igbo-speaking areas are cut out from the Niger delta. The two most oil-laden LGAs in the Niger delta are Igbo-speaking LGAs namely Oyigbo and ONELGA both in Rivers state. When you add the other Igbo LGAs of the Niger delta to the 5 SE states, the Igbo collective becomes much more influential, so you can go and hang yourself, after reading this fact
To make matters worse, gas reserves in the SE states of Anambra and Imo are more massive than in any other state of the federation, be it in the Niger delta or not.
One thing you can also take to the bank is that the Igbo-speaking LGAs of the Niger delta are 100% more likely to join Biafra than any Niger Delta republic. I apologize for souring your Democracy day celebrations If una like, carry the whole of Nigeria Delta join Biafran and form a country, una still no go prosper. Don't ask me why, 'cause its as clear as the day. |

evansjeff: If nothing else at all, the fact you refused to swear in 14 members out of 24 members of the state assembly duly elected by the people for more than a year now, that alone is enough for you to be dealt with.
You openly and public ridicule and throw direct insults at someone who sweated day and night for more than six months to ensure you won both the primaries and the main election even if nobody knew you in Edo state, that's the height of it. Funny enough we have not heard from you that he is demanding millions or billions from you, you did all these to him simply for political differences. Even if you win this election, posterity will judge you.
Whoever advised Obaseki didn't do him well at all. I just hope Philip shuaibu is not silently working against him. Obaseki should go and listen to a message by Dr Olukoya of MFM, on ungratefulness. The guy really bleeped up, I don't see him winning this primary. Let us remove Oshiomole factor, if delegates from the 14 house of assembly members constituencies, decided to vote against Obaseki, then is a goner. He messed up and instead of him to mend fences, he continues to create more problem for himself. This has nothing to do with Godfatherism, it has a lot to do with ungratefulness that is now speaking against Obaseki. |

SpecialAdviser: It really surprises me how difficult it is for most of our leaders to get certificate. Anyway, that is if its true.
There is a reason people say Edo is not Lagos. Let me make it clear a bit. Obaseki has put up a strong fight it doesn't matter if he loses out.
What is more important is to fight like a man. After all politics is generally a game of win or lose. The way Ambode chickened out easily in Lagos portrays a man who lack balls in between his legs. god fathers in politics are set of people without any remedy or solution.
If you are loyal to them, you are in trouble, if not loyal, you are in trouble. The best way around them is to confront your fears and wait for whatever outcome. This is exactly what Obaseki is doing. Ambode was very loyal to Tinubu to the core, what happened to him?
All god fathers fight for their pockets and their fame and not for the masses. Look at how Ambode phased out despite all his good works in Lagos state. Aside his nonsense landscape project which left many places dirty, the guy did his best and you would wonder why he was pushed out despite his loyalty.
The so called god fathers are former governors. And you are the present governor, so why become so afraid of them? is it not ridiculous that a man Adams Oshiomole despised so much in the last election has now become his best bride? Where then is the philosophy, where is the ideology? No interest of the people served. Despite how much I didn't like Chimaroke, his fight with Jim Nwobodo made me like him a bit.
Political god fathers are common criminals that should be stoned. Obaseki have tried to put up a fight like a man even though I don't know much of him in delivering good governance. Long story short, he shouldn't have used the support of political godfathers to become the governor.

Inuwa Yahaya is only paving the road that passes through house and that of his family. When you look closely how many vehicles are passing the suppose pavement. Build factories, enable businesses and make people’s lives better then they can buy vehicles that ply on those roads Whoever is bringing a factory will have road into the village. Una say north is backward, the people are trying to improve on themselves, make una cry for una self. |

Edo state was in mess, ringroad (the heart of Benin city ) was always flood, no single road project or good transport system.
Then oshiomole came, it made Edo state one of the top 10 state in nigeria.
He changed our educational system. He increased and paid workers salaries unlike PDP. He made Benin beautiful.
Etc etc that's why APC always win Edo governor election I used to tell those who care to listen, that Nigeria just need committed leaders and everything will fall in place. God bless Oshiomole, God bless the people of Edo. God bless Nigeria. |

Binikingdowm: exactly. What buhari government is doing now should have been done in the 80s.
PDP government should have introduced nigeria to modernization This is precisely why I don't like that party. My father was one of the few early members in Lagos. He used his personal resources to promote the party in his ward, na our house dem dey hold ward meetings. He later told me he doesn't understand the direction the party is taking the country. And that was how he left PDP in 2002 and refused to join any political party. I asked him to join AD, as his neighbors in AD begins to put pressure on him, he said they have ideas without resources. My father and all card carrying member in his ward later decamped to AC, just to make sure that Lagos doesn't fall into the hands of PDP. What he said then was " ba o ba le gbe Ila, a o ma gbe Ilala ", meaning if we can't have it big, let's protect the little that we have. Just look at Lagos today, God bless everyone who made Lagos of today possible. Eko si ma dun si, Nigeria shall rise again. |

With the crisis in Edo APC, d only mode of election that can prevent a repeat of the Zamfara incident is a direct primary election. Why on earth is Obaseki afraid? Nobody knew him in Edo political circles prior to 2016. Oshiomole brought him in and practically ran his campaign for him. While I'm against godfatherism, there's what we call political patronage and Obaseki could have done that while still being his own man. But nah, he'd rather engage in an open fight with his predecessor and every party man. Imagine going as far as lobbying to have the NDDC appointment of the ex deputy governor revoked cause he is not from his camp. Would any of the so called progressive governors be happy if the Oshiomole treatment is meted to them by their successors who they almost singlehandedly installed? As for development, forget what u read online. I'm an Edo man and I can tell you for a fact that Obaseki hasn't done zilch apart from some civil service reforms and d repositioning of the primary and post primary education sectors. Infrastructurally, Obaseki is a non performer.
