Where did you get this impression that those in the S/west are looking up to Government?

How many people in Ode-Ogbolu, Alagbaagba, Okaka, Fiditi, Edunabo, Ajaawa,Ilogbo, Idanre,Ilaro, Iresi,Afao, Ilawe, Owena, Ijero, Iloko, Ifon, Oka-Akoko did any Government reach?

Every family love and take care of their people.

Churches and wealthy Indigenes of each town distributed foods items to their peoples.

Stop staying in Aguleri or Mbaise and be posting wrong information about places you know little or nothing about.
Guys I'm seeing things that beats my imagination on this thread o.
Who government epp?, give me beta road make I go do my business.
Now I understand why these guys are always angry with the government, their major problem is self entitlement.
Government responsibility is to make the environment conducive for bussiness, through the provisions of social armenities, yours is to exploit the benefits.
Even at that, the responsibility of the federal government is different from state and local government.
From my perspective, the local government is the closest to the people and so must be firing on all cylinders.
Nigerians focused more on the federal government while the culprit, the local government is pretending to be stupid.
I remembered one local government chair person, a woman to be precise, that woman really did magic at Alimosho in Lagos State here.

I've studied the report and I consider it as biased. If poverty headcount is actualy based on household living on less than 137,000 Naira annually then that of Rivers State which I am very familiar with should be 0% for sure. This report does not deserve much attention but all the same let Igbos think home.
Less than 137,000 naira per annum?. O ga o

This your post is addressing the poverty index issues.

Is poverty more prevalent in Zamfara than Rivers State? Is poverty lesser in Anambra than Enugu, Gombe or Kogi States?

Why is poverty more prevalent in Ebonyi than Delta State and what can be done to provide solutions?
Ebonyi should focus more on rice farming and milling.
Ebonyi rice is cool.

whoa so the thousands of shoe makers and tailors in ariaria are not middle class? I also guess the 4/5 story block of flats major cities in the east is known for are for poor dudes?
please keep to what you know
So this is your idea of middle class, now I have a better understanding of why you guys think your folks are the richest in the country.
In SW here, middle class are those who have their children in high profile schools and institutions, or better still children schooling abroad, these are people who can afford an average of two or three cars, and at least a decent house, not a bungalow.
Low class are those artisans, traders, drivers and so on, these groups of people, earned moderate income, they also send their children to pivate primary schools, and public schools for secondary and tetiary education.
These groups of people hardly build flats, they build face me I face you, so that they can rent those rooms out to make more money.
The last group are labourers, they are unskilled, they work on construction sites, farms and so on, you can hardly see these ones paying any kinds of school fees, they only hustle to feed the children, their children education is in public schools.
The upper class are those noveau rich with multiple investment and large work force.

Nigeria should print at least 10trillion naira. Issue bonds in local naira plus quantitative easing. Every major country is doing it. Your currency won't crash unless major countries decide (no matter your fiscal policies, good or bad). And for a country like Nigeria which dominates West African economy and our currency is accepted in neighbouring countries, I don't know what they're waiting for. If you pay palliatives and infrastructural fiscal policy of 10trillion and collect income taxes (individuals), WHT and VAT (businesses), you'll pull back nearly 2 trillion from circulation. Claw back what you give states in the form of debt repayment/forgiveness. That way little cash changes hands.

Don't know what kind of economists are running point in this government.

Cos we already have inflation without any significant increase in money under circulation

Infact people reduce spending during uncertainties.
Print more money, so that naira can become the Zimbabwean dollar?.
Nigerians must produce more than crude oil to remain afloat.
There are illegal miners everywhere, thats good money leaking out.
I once mine gold at a river, I no go mention the name of that river here, na the sand wey we pack out of that river gave us the gold.
grin Na play self we go play by that river, we are only curious to find out if it's truely possible and there it was.
The gold deposit in Osun is only second to the one in South Africa, let the government exploit this gold reserve.
About 9 Chinese were recently caught in illegal mining activity, na here we go sit dey nag and Chinaman will extract all the gold.
Nigerians have no business being poor, I'm just trying to make little sense.

NIGERIA AS A NATION HAS BEEN LIVING IN SELF DECEIT. Not now, certainly not but right from Independence in the 1960s.

NOBODY WANT TO CREATE NATIONAL WEALTH.

STATES IN NIGERIA GO CAP IN HAND BEGGING THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT FOR ALLOCATIONS.

STATES IN NIGERIA DO NOT WANT TO EXPLORE ALTERNATIVE SOURCE OF REVENUE IN A PRODUCTIVE AND SUSTAINABLE MANNERS.

States in Nigeria depends 100 per cent on money sourced from Niger delta crude oil.

Thanks to the Good people of the Niger delta region they use their crude oil to foot the bills of the government of Nigeria which they are still doing as at today with even the fall in the price of crude.

IT IS ABOUT TIME NIGERIA GOVERNMENT DIVERSIFY THE ECONOMY FROM CRUDE OIL BASED TO AGRICULTURE.

Let states in Nigeria work hard and contribute to their own development instead of waiting for the socalled "FREE MONEY"
But a certain Jeremiah mobilized his people to create wealth na, those who eke out the wealth, through sheer hard work became stupendously wealthy.
They even lend five million pounds to Nigeria, yet these people were forcefully brought down to almost nothing.

what is your definition of EVIL
Not dancing to their tune is evil, dig?. So don't let them mess up your mind.
Like two idiot at my end here, who met a Hausa gate man and his family in our compound, despite being told how long the gate man has been working for the landlord, they decided the gate man and his family must go.
They were so stupid that, when they tried to coerse other tenants and were warned against such, they went to meet the landlady to bare their minds.
Without knowing that these losers had earlier on solicited our support, mama asked us wether we noticed any quarrel or misunderstanding, between the security man and anyone in the compound?, we said NO.
My Landlady quietly put these two nagging tenants, under observation and begins to watch them.
After four years, the two nagging tenants were given quit notice last year, one of them moved out in February, the other one is still trying to get a new place.
I and other tenants tried to mediate buy mama said no, she said " wahala won ti po ju, Olorun lo mo nkan ti mola yen ra ni igba won ", "they nag too much, only God knows their obsession with that mola ".
You won't believe it, the one that is yet to move out is still nagging, can you imagine, the parliatives that was brought into the compound by other tenants were shared to them, they collect and still complain, the landlord son also gave us parliative, this " nagging machine " colleted food stuffs and provisions that could last two months and still made a call to the other tenant who moved out in February, to come and collect his own share.
Our landlady was so angry with them, and they were like Yoruba people are bad people, how can mola collect parliative from mama, and he doesn't even pay rent, he used three rooms BQ for free bla bla bla.. omo no be small thing o.

There is nothing like Evil to Yoruba people. As the yoruba guy above defended it as a way of their life and freedom. Igbos may have strong abhorrence and deterrence for evil but Yorubas don't have that and never had it. That's why they change position on issues and lack loyalty or commitment because they know there are no consequences or had then consequences for such actions. This is critical because what you may think is an abomination to some, is a way of life for some. Remember, the spirits in Igbos, Yorubas, Hausa-Fulani, e.t.c., are different spirits. The one in Igbos may not tolerate evil by Igbos as a "group or a people" and will strike them dead if they did but the ones in Yorubas and Hausa-Fulani will tolerate evil; a reason why they as a people not individual see nothing wrong with evil.
grin What is just before man is an abomination before God.
You people have an ugly habit of always insisting that others who are not in anyway related to you, must join you to fight your PERCEIVED enemies.
We can see we are not blind, we know how it all started.
I have serious issues with anyone TRYING to use my people, to settle scores with others.
Why you people always try to armtwist or should I say blackmail others into fighting your cause, beats my imagination.
The earlier you people understand the better, won nja ni ile keji o kan wa.

Imagine Anambra where rural women makes as high as 400,000 per month. My mum makes nothing less than 200k per month trading in a local market. This is higher than an entire family income in many South Western states. Thank God, I have travelled far and wide. They can tell that to people who don't travel. The day I went ro Osun state, I nearly weeped for them, no wonder once they enter Lagos they begin to claim omo Lagos.
Women makes 400k selling ugwu, and they still enter bus to come and sell ugwu in Lagos.
For your info, Yoruba women also sell vegetables, pepper and so on in Lagos and most of them are land ladies, they build their own personal house.
There are Yoruba women too, who don't even build house, they now buy houses which they sometimes remodeled to their tastes.
So you see, your women are still learners.

Ok under which party?, ' cause as it is, neither APC nor PDP is ready to give their tickets to Igbo.
I said it here few years back, you need a bargaining power, to achieve political objectives.
Why did Buhari begged Tinubu to merge his ACN with CPC in 2011?, why didn't Buhari seek to merge CPC with APGA?.
It's because Buhari knew that ACN has five states already, how many states does APGA have in 2011?.
Why did Tinubu insisted that he must be given the vice President position or no deal?.
It's still because Tinubu already had five state to bargain with?.
Look at APC logo, is that not the ACN's BROOM?, and much more.
This is what bargaining power is all about.
When you have the bargaining power, you can make demands, but without bargaining power, na to beg sure pass, as even force or threat won't work.
