Crime / Re: Man Beats Wife To Death As He Seeks To Control Property She Built In Ogun (Pix) by 9gerian: 9:34pm On Nov 21, 2022 |
Wives should learn to share just like their husbands readily do in most cases. But he should never have killed her. The crime looks premeditated considering he hit her on the head with a padlock. Most probably, he meant to kill her, and thereafter pretend it was a mere scuffle. The lady must have been shocked- wondering how her husband could have planned killing her. The evil intent must have dawned on her shortly before she died. There is no greater feeling of betrayal by a loved one! SETHARTHUR: 1 Like 1 Share |
Politics / Re: LASTMA Orders Probe After Punch Report On Extortion by 9gerian: 11:27am On Nov 21, 2022 |
Very true! First hand observation: lastma deliberately allows commercial vehicles and tricycles to take one way, even on bridges, regularly to help mislead and apprehend private vehicles who mistakenly follow after seeing lastma allow the commercial vehicles (eg Cele/Okota bridge and environs). This appears to be their biggest stock in trade. They probably extort millions from private vehicles daily as a result. Another area is Adeniran Ogunsanya roundabout at Bode Thomas, during slow moving periods daily, the lastma officials there record the change of traffic lights only and then argue that the vehicle arrived at the roundabout after green changes to red rather mischievously since there slow moving traffic necessitating a slowdown. Just to mention a few. Can never feel sorry for the governor if he loses the election. The deliberate and unwarranted victimization of private citizens is just too much. People now avoid certain areas as a result. Antoeni: 2 Likes 2 Shares |

The part she may find difficult was the stealing and of the victim’s money, after he was dead. That may be pursued as the motive for the murder- usually. hopexter: 1 Like |

The General is unbraiding the leaders in the southeast that failed to rise to the occasion to stop non state actors from growing so big to the extent of challenging the constituted authority. In other words, nobody is in charge or has demonstrated the capacity of bringing calm to the southeast amongst its elders and politicians. Untamed anarchy is what is fast developing. A similar development was witnessed in the north years ago before Boko haram / ISWA eventually came full cycle. The rest is history… mycar: |

True. Osinbajo would have been blamed for all of his principal’s shortcomings and Nigeria’s problems. The reason he is being shown love now is to spite the one that emerged the APC presidential candidate. Really a reverse psychology. TheSameGuy: 3 Likes 1 Share |

You lose! And that happens by you deliberately depriving yourself of some the most committed professionals that Nigeria has to offer. Or are you not aware that Obama, Trump, Biden, Boris, Sunak etc all had/have Yorubas as part of their main cabinet members or think tank? Google will help you here. Go check most and the biggest establishments that are thriving today (no jokes), they have Yorubas at the helms of affairs, and its an open secret that Yorubas build systems. So the choice of keeping Yorubas away from your establishment is yours to own and deal with. Lionstep: |

Crime / Re: Zanele Sifuba’s Sex Video: Nigerian Embassy Reacts As SA Blasts Nigerians by 9gerian: 9:19am On Nov 12, 2022 |
But have some of the Nigerians been mostly good citizens in SA? Some Nigerians literally take host countries as fools for having enabling environments that help immigrants to thrive so they quickly abuse all the privileges, and eventually get banned along with other innocent immigrants. Recent cult activities and robberies that led to the ban in Dubai comes to mind. Abike Dabiri was even labeled a bigot for calling out those who were causing all the major problems. Now other African immigrants are affected because of what some Nigerians do. But we bask and boast that they envy us. Such was possible if filth was attractive to everyone. India, Thailand, Ghana, Indonesia etc the list keeps growing but we are not allowed to talk about it less we offend those whose people are doing all these damages on an atrocious scale, and with no one allowed to give caution. This headline and some of the comments suggests that Igbos are not free to objectively air their views, or clarify the true position of things. Such dissenting voices will be bullied all in a bid to promote a particular narrative, that we can therefore conclude is false. Is that not majority tyranny, a very dangerous development to the well-being of the people in their society? This will promote the lowest brains in the society to control the biggest say not by superior arguments but by brute force. Something that we see happening already. |

Crime / Re: Ataga: Chidinma's relationship with her foster father is sexual - Police Witness by 9gerian: 10:45am On Nov 09, 2022 |
It is for the police because the lady’s counsel have been trying to prove that the initial testimony or confession by Chidinma was obtained under duress, which would result in the court throwing it out if that succeeds. So the police are trying to cast aspersions on the girl and her foster father with all available facts at their disposal. Yes, they can go after the drug sellers, if there’s a complicity angle to pursue there. Our police are particularly expert at involving all parties to a crime because bail may be involved. You should know the rest by now. gulfer: |

This is the norm in the law courts all over h ex world: to discredit the other party to establish some form of motivation for the crime or crime a perceived obstruction to justice, to achieve a water tight case. gulfer: 2 Likes 1 Share |

This is the stage where each sides counsel are roe’s to discredit the other to prove their case amidst accusations, denials and counter accusations. This angle of an amorous affair is to prove that the man has a vested interest in the case, which suggests he is hiding some facts to protect his lover who had been reported as his foster daughter howbeit without consent from the girl’s family. More facts will therefore emerge from this angle if proven. Kurumaru: |
Politics / Re: Pa Adebanjo: At 94 I May Not Be Alive. U're The One To Suffer If You Vote Tinubu by 9gerian: 8:03pm On Nov 08, 2022 |
How I wish we can just be done with this election already. Nigerians trusting their politicians way too much without viable basis. I remember Ghana when Mahama was president, the people wanted change and voted Nana Akufo Addo, after touting him as the best fit for the job for several years prior. Today Ghana is economically troubled with the much sung Akufo Addo. Same thing happened between GEJ and Buhari in 2015. People need to learn that the fact that they feel so strongly about their preferred presidential candidate does not make their choice right or superior, at least not until in the future when we can all look back to determine whether there has been the expected improvements. This is why the people must focus on and keep the eyes of the politicians on the issues, with the biggest issue being the structure of governance in Nigeria. Right now I just want the elections done quickly to see where the new leadership takes Nigeria structurally. Some of the things we are boasting that a candidate would do will come as a shock to many when they start foot dragging, and making excuses. What will make the difference is the candidate’s ability to influence stakeholders to achieve his set objectives for the nation. After all, it is democracy that is in practice. |
