NwaAmaikpe:So you are saying if someone can perform in bed for thirty minutes, they should also be able to withstand lack of air for 9 minutes without dying? Where do you pull your logic from? Also, kneeling on someone's neck for over 9 minutes is not "a few minutes." So, If someone knelt on your neck deliberately for 9 minutes and you begged them to stop but they didn't, you would be fine with it because they didn't intend to kill you? His police colleagues and the department heads testified against him, just to show that he's not a positive role model as you are claiming. Also, people in the community have filled at least 16 complaints of his excessive use of force against him prior to this incident. He abused his power and he got held accountable. End of story. |
Wow cars actually follow lane marks on the road. See street lights line up the stream. |
Alba3:Thank you for that! I try to tell him. This is also the same person who didn't know that Ondo and Akure dialects are different . Even Saki, Igboho and Kisi are not part of Oyo proper. Elliotwaveforec: |
illicit:There is actually a few spillover Yagba settlements in northern part of Ikole LGA plus the town of Ayede in Oye LGA is Yagba. it doesn't matter though because everybody is still Yoruba at the end of the day. |
Elliotwaveforec:1. Oyo and Ibolo are not the same. Ibolo group- North Osun state and South Kwara state Oyo group- East Oyo state, West Osun state, Central Kwara state 2. Yewa is not one group, it's just an umbrella term. Yewa proper (Old Egbado) people- North Yewa LGA and South Yewa LGA Ketu people- Imeko Afon LGA and North Yewa LGA Ohori (Ije) people- Yewa North LGA and Ipokia LGA Anago (Nago) people- Ipokia LGA Ogu (Egun) people- Ipokia LGA |

TheGiftedOne:This is from Botswana. Botswana is actually an shiny example of an African country that transformed itself economically with its resources. No shock that it's also the least corrupt country in Africa. The government said the proceeds from this diamond is going to development of the country. |
garfield1:Hausas are in Yobe, Bauchi and Gombe, but they represent a minority. It's just that a lot of the ethnic groups there are muslims, speak Hausa and dress like Hausas (the likes of Yakubu Dogara) which is why to a naked eye, most people look like Hausas. The SE and SW (outside of Lagos) are the most homogenize regions in Nigeria. Compare the Igala in one local government of Anambra and the Ijaw in one local government in Ondo to a dozen local governments in Kaduna that have non-Hausa majority. |
Hausas are only majority in 1 out of 6 geopolitical zones, the NW. The NW is also populated by Fulanis and smaller ethnic groups in southern kaduna. How does that translate to 30% Hausa? Also, the info from wikipedia is from CIA, and they are notorious for cooking up statistics from thin air. The same CIA said Hausas are 21% in 2020. How did the population of Hausas grew by 9% or 18 million people in just a year? |
JamParkMe:You are exactly correct! Religion is big business in Nigeria. So many people want to become pastor or cleric left and right. We have prayed so much in Nigeria that God should have answered our prayers by now and we should have became a great nation. One would think with all that religion, we would be the holiest people on earth, but no. The amount of wickedness in this country hidden behind the cloak of religiosity is astounding. The politicians steal left and right, the average Nigerian is a tribalist, common decency is lacking, and many are looking for ways to defraud others. But the same people will go to church on Sunday to wash away their sins. |
afonjaheadhunts:Was Biafra an Igbo only affair? What about the Efiks or other tribes that were also apart of Biafra? You are supplanting their contribution as if they didn't share your cause. The only tribe in Africa to fight a war is clearly false as there are multiple examples all over Africa like the Tigrays of East Africa and the Tuaregs of Mali who fought modern warfare. Igbo's are the only Ethnic group to challenge the Fulani in NigeriaActually Yorubas and other groups like the Kanuris and Jukuns have fought the Fulani Jihadists and have won multiple battles against the Fulanis prior to the creation of Nigeria. and in this administration, Igbo's are the only Ethnic group that defend themselves any where they find themselves be it in Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa wherever. That said Igbo's still remains the most peaceful ethnicity in Nigeria.Igbos defend themselves all over Africa, but how do they become the ONLY tribe that defend themselves in Nigeria and all those countries? |
cashkid18:*Actually it's largely financed by Chinese loans as of now. Oil is always an excuse to divert responsibility away from your own leaders. What did GEJ do to transform Bayelsa when he was governor? What did he do for the SS in all of his 5 years in office? What are your governors doing for your people since SS gets the most in federal allocation out of any region? The most notoriously corrupt governors in Nigeria's history such as the likes of Alamieyeseigha and Ibori are from the SS. Not everything is as black and white. |
maasoap:So every one on twitter is doing hate speech abi? Some people advertise their business on social media you know. It's ironic you mention hate speech when Buhari was the one that got his tweet deleted for inciting violence in the first place. |
plaindealer:Look at this one Your country is cracking down on freedom of speech and you are rejoicing. This is how dictatorship starts. |
They act like untouchables in Nigeria because they know they can get away with so much. They are so entitled they lack the humility to deal with criticism. Yeye government feuding with twitter. How is twitter their wahala when there is a thousand more pressing issues in the country they should be more worried about? They are banning twitter yet they announced the ban on the same twitter. |
bjdon:Please gladly educate us on what Yorubas did that was so terrible to the minorities in old western region? I keep hearing the same tired propaganda, but no actual evidence. Who cares if Edo and Delta are not part of Odua? I'm not a beggar, just answer my first question. |
There are a lot of things I don't like about the name Nigeria, but I haven't found a better alternative yet. This charade however is ridiculous. Alkebulan ko Ake bula ni. |
Let's apply the same logic here. I mean with all the banditry, boko haram sponsors, and fulani herdsmen terrorist sympathizers in the government, can we really trust another presidential candidate from the North? |
bjdon:Actually that's not why they left, that's just propaganda. Nearly 1/3 of the ministerial positions of the old western region was given to non-Yorubas. If you were given a choice to have your independent state, then why wouldn't you want your own state to yourself? it's like saying Delta became a state because of they were being oppressed by the Binis. |
The gov wants to censor and police the youth on social media, but they don't like it when they are being censored . I call that karma!Twitter was not afraid to ban a whole president of America from its platform and is definitely is not afraid to deal with a bunch of old goons who are out of touch with reality. |
So, banning open grazing and trespassing over private property is unconstitutional but it's constitutional for one group to carry AK-47s harassing people? As a cattle rearer himself, he's quick to talk about cow issues but let it be end SARS or herdsmen killings or any issues concerning human lives, he'll remain silent. |
He failed to pay salary of civil workers while enriching his pocket and now he's a holy man all of sudden. Religion in Nigeria has always been tool to control the masses. And you have gullible individuals that will fall for this stunt. |
So powerful people don't get prison time from crime? You can support banditry, but you only lose your job? |
Nigercity:SE is more densely populated than most parts of SW, but SW has more land to go around because it's slightly more than twice as big as SE. So even if SE has twice the population density of SW, the population of SW as a whole will still be bigger due to sheer size. I've looked at google maps and much of SE in particular Imo, Anambra and Abia states (and Akwa Ibom) appear like one big cobweb from space which is a result of the settlement pattern of villages that bleed into neighboring villages via intertwined roads. This type of settlement pattern breaks up forests into fragments and this coupled with lack of protected forested area in SE Nigeria leads to significant amount of deforestation. What you said about SW being less densely populated is actually what's saving SW. Like you said settlements in SW are more spaced apart (except for Lagos-Ogun border corridor) which creates lots of forested areas between towns. It's a shame that the SE is the only zone without a national park. SE is virtually in the tropical forest zone yet SW has more protected forest area despite a larger chunk (Western Oyo and Ogun) being in the savannah. The only other place worse than SE in terms of deforestation is Lagos. In the next 50 years, most of Lekki and Epe which hold most of the remaining forests in Lagos would be built up and without regard for creating enough protected areas. This would only add to the flooding problems of Lagos since trees along the coastline hold on to groundwater and serve as buffer against coastal erosion and flooding. |
Zetty177x:Most self-proclaimed Arabs have indigenous non-Arab element. Palestinian Arabs came from a population of Jewish and Samaritans that converted to Christianity under late Roman and Byzantine rule and then mixed with Arabs from the Arabian peninsula. The process of Arabization took place for more than 1,000 years that a new Arab identity arose. A population of mostly Christian Palestinian converted to Islam over many centuries. Although most Palestinians are muslim today, there is still a population of Palestinian Christian, Samaritans and yes even Palestinian Jews that remain. So it's more complex than Jewish vs. Arab land. |
edoairways:You think this but if you actually speak to real Israeli Jews, they would say they share more in practice with Muslims than Christians. Jesus is a Jew but Judaism doesn't really regard him as important. Messianic Jews, a minority sect of Judaism are the ones who may share more with Christians than muslims. |
Kubernetes:Two state solution is becoming impossible day by day due to the many israeli settlements in the West Bank. |
Maybe they'll finally wake up when criminality and insecurity come to their doorstep. |
Yes we don't. We just need leaders with half a brain. |
I don't understand people who celebrate baby mama culture, a societal problem of the US while simultaneously opposing polyandry, when the two are nearly identical. Baby mama culture is just unlegalized polyandry. |
Pastorjohn2:Backward mentality. |
Where do you pull your logic from?
. I call that karma!
