My point is that if you must abort a pregnancy, do it before it can be said to be a grown foetus. Aborting a pregnancy is still legal before 12weeks of its cycle when it begets heart not.

I saw a scan and the foetus (as small as an egg) was already moving around in the womb as at 11 weeks....

don't tink I can ever have MIL come over to take care of baby n I after delivery cos i saw hell wen I had my baby,we live in same town while my mum is in another state she never cooked for once but wait to b served. I had to leave my 2day old baby to go to d market to buy things to cook while she will b watching telemundo she leaves for her shop at 9am n comes back 10pm daily. started bathing my baby when she was 2days old,she told me plain she wanted a boy n not a girl,don't think I will ever want her around if i want to have another child

Truth is, so many people don't care about a married woman's comfort. All they know is how to say "you are now married, you MUST do things this or that way.

A beg, every body should go with who they are comfortable with, be it mum or mil.
Or didn't my heart bleed when I read a diary on this same nairaland where a lady was scolded by her MIL during labour that is she the first to give birth? Just because she was shouting. And then 4 days after birth, she was already bathing the baby herself and was washing her own cloths. Her first baby o! Will all that happen if it was her own mother?

Same thing with my cousin's MIL who when my cousin called and asked after her health accused my heavily pregnant cousin of not being there to bath and feed her. My cousin works in a demanding workplace o and is heavily pregnant. She requested my cousin take time off work and travel to visit her when she knows they will never give her time off at work.
Meanwhile she doesn't disturb her own kids with these demands.
When my cousin has her baby, maybe the woman will start fighting for Omugwo. And I ask what help she can render, seeing that she even needs a nursing maid herself to bath and feed her.

And I even saw the strained relationship between my own grand mum and her sickler DIL. But she couldn't really act up as my uncle doesn't joke with the wife.

Its a Federal Government job and you will definitely be able to round off with your exams (if some bank workers can squeeze out time with their busy schedule, why can't you). You may even be through before you are asked to resume.

When I started my Masters, I had an uncle who offered to get me a Fed job and all I needed to do was to apply. I couldn't finish the application because of my coursework but I don't have that particular opportunity anymore as his kids are also done with school and as such he will push them into any opportunity that comes up.

Last application I even did, I edited out my masters qualification, lest a jealous somebody who doesn't have masters qualification yet sit on my application (God forbid). When I get the job, I can update my qualifications with the hr to reflect my masters.

That's what you should do. Even if employed with OND, you can update your educational qualifications to HND once result is out.

Na so I sharply call home o. My folks contacted one of the immigration ogas. Immediately they saw that this one will put them in trouble, they started soft peddaling. I kukuma sat in the room they asked me to. Holding my knapsack tight before they would slip something incriminating inside.

Anyways, they had to leave me without giving a kobo to them. They assigned a lady to assist me meander my way so I wouldn't miss my flight after the delay they caused.

When I was about to leave the lady, she now started begging for appreciation for her hard word. Mtcheeww!

This was what my friend passed through in the hands of Quarantine officers at the Muritala Mohammed International Airport and almost missed his flight. I know many others have experienced this extortion from these people giving Nigeria bad name, so we need to stop them.

Please, I had a terrible experience on Saturday afternoon 12-03-2016 at Muritala Mohammed International Airport.
I had an Emirates flight EK784 to Dubai scheduled to leave by 1420hrs. While on the queue, I saw the customs official - a man and the quarantine officer- a woman taking bribe from almost all the passengers before my turn. Bags were not even checked properly. When I approached the government officials desk with my bags, the customs officer on duty (ANDONG DAN) and quarantine officer - a woman (OLUBUMMO E.A.) told me to pay 4,000 Naira bribe to N.L. SULEIMAN also a government official on the desk. I had two pieces of Eutymol tooth paste, 4 packets of tetmosol soap, some clothes, books, garri and beans in my bags. I did not carry anything unlawful as far as I know.

I told them I will not pay any kobo, rather, I will do whatever the law says. Immediately, ANDONG DAN and OLUBUMMO E.A. shouted at me and asked me to go and look for a quarantine office and collect certificates for two pieces of Eutymol tooth paste, 4 packets of tetmosol soap, some clothes, books, garri and beans . I asked them, to tell me the provision of the law and that, I was ready to drop whatever is not permitted in my bag.
They refused to attend to me, the quarantine woman said my eyes would see it, before I get back from the quarantine office, I would have missed my international flight.
But, I kept demanding for justice. After a while, they described quarantine office in the airport to me. I had to rush to the quarantine office and if not for God, I would have missed my flight because I refused to pay bribe.

Please let us put this kind of officers where they belong by letting the authorities know what is happening.

It's true.
Something a little bit similar happened to me. Though I don't have the names of the officers.
I had a flight to Dubai on the Emirates. Once those immigration people saw that my passport was virgin, they referred me to a far desk. There, an officer attempted to extort me by asking me for my PTA. And also that how are they sure I am not trying to run away from Nigeria etcetera.

That the government has mandated all travellers to hold pta. Meanwhile I had my card, and I had my job ID. I am well paid in Nigeria, where am I running to?
And my fiance had travelled ahead with about 4,000 dollars and would meet me at the airport. They said they must see my account statement.

When they saw I wasn't ready to part with a kobo, they asked me to write a statement and then asked an official to take me somewhere. The official was now telling me I would miss my flight and that where they were taking me, I would see all the people there, girls like me, weeping.

He probably wants a simple soup. Shaki, ponmo, cow leg and goat are not for a person not used to eating such....

I once slipped down the stairs in my school and landed hard on my butt. After a while, I started having serious hip pain and the pain was going down to my leg.

Without an xray, the doctor prescribed Tramadol and some other drugs. But then, I had started browsing about drugs before taking them due to some experiences. I ended up not taking it.

And I later became 100% OK just by stretching my back.

1. A contract staff cannot access loans because his job is not secure, so to say.
2. Loans are usually given to business people or confirmed staff of reputable organisation; you can never be given a loan to take care of an illness.
3. The guy does not have credibility, he would still have defaulted on the loan (assuming he could access it).

The guy should not have touched customers money, end of. If they throw him in prison, he will probably worsen his mother's situation....

I told him, don't get me wrong. No one is asking you guys not to be close. But our man and woman discussions should be kept between us. But I will agree I am overreacting if you can mention just one thing that your sisters have discussed with you regarding their family decisions. Mention one thing that you know they are planning on doing.

Na so my man lie down in utter silence as it dawned on him that while they seemed to know so much about us, he knew ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about the inner workings of their own families.

So I left him for some few minutes for that to sink in, and we later continued our normal gist.

I hope that habit has been dealt with permanently. If not, I will not be tired because I hate it when someone can't keep secrets. I am the woman and I don't act like that. You guys can discuss your extended family matters from morning till night. It's non of my business. But when it comes to my little family, omo, I won't take kindly to 3rd parties trying to usurp their rightful place as outsiders.

For me, what annoys me about my man is that we will be on an issue, trying to discuss and take the best decision for us as a couple and he will go and tell his sisters. They will then offer their unsolicited advice and tell him, "so and so and so is how it should be done".

I was quiet till he did the last one and then I reasoned, this behavior needs a radical antidote o, else it will get to a point when they will give advice on the number of years to do child spacing when we start a family or even how to our baby should be named.

Though I know he only does it out of a real desire to be close to them. But I'm close to my folks too. And I choose what to discuss with them.

So the last time, I tried voicing my displeasure to him over the phone immediately he told me he had told darling sisters about what we were discussing. But he got upset and ended the call.

Throughout that day, I was just upset. And then Eureka, it occurred to me that while he discusses our issues with them, darling sisters never mention their husbands in the course of a conversation with him.

So at night when he picked me, I broached the issue again. And he got defensive saying I overreact on little issues. Asking me if its wrong to discuss issues with his blood....
