A PHARMACIST Mr. Chimezie Ojinkieme, started the year on a happy note having stocked his pharmacy with supplies from various pharmaceutical companies. In year 2004, this graduate of Imo State University acquired a warehouse at No 6 Mba Street, Achapo area of Ajegunle, Lagos State for stock piling of products. Since then, his business has grown to the tune of over N15M.

Precautionary measure

But Tuesday January 8, 2013 is a date he would live to remember. The day statrtrf on a bright note with business going on as usual until disaster struck. At 3.15pm that fateful day, he heard shouts of "Doctor", as he is fondly called, "fire! Fire!, within the neighbourhood.

He rushed out to see what the shout was about but saw no fire from any where. So, taking precautionary measure, he reached to the electricity metre and switched it off to avert any incident but he was minutes too late.

Just as he went back to his shop, he perceived the odour of smoke and immediately dashed out again to trace its source. As he looked around, he noticed thick smoke emanating from a neigbouring house where electronic products are sold. He quickly mobilised people to put off the fire as the owner was not around. Sympathisers tried to force the door open but were not successful and the fire went wild and engulfed the building thereafter extended to two other neighbouring buildings one of which was the popular "Latest Richmoore Pharmacy" in Achapo owned by Chimezie. Within seconds, the three buildings housing over 10 families were razed and property worth millions of Naira were destroyed.

Eye witnesses account said the Lagos State Fire Service arrived the scene late and could not put out the fire as there was insufficient water to combat the inferno. A helpless and speechless Chimezie burst into tears just starring at his labour for years go up in flames. "Where do I start from",he asked no one in particular. In another monologue he revealed: "Majority of these goods were supplied on credit..."

Final year law student

But Chimezie was not the only one with a sad tale to tell. His sibling Clementino Ojinkieme, a final year Law student of Imo State University also lost all her document, a sum of N30,000 and a cheque of N100,000 being a bursary award from Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State.

In an emotion laden voice, she said: "Chimezie is our bread winner. I came home for the Yuletide and was planning to return to school when the inferno started. We have lost everything to the fire. Who will come to our aid now"?!

Other victims of the inferno include the owner of Peetee Transport, Mr.Jerry Samuel, who also lost property worth about N400,000 and a Daily Need dealer Chikwem Samuel, who also lost properry whose monetary worth could not be quantified.

Also, no fewer than 10 families have been rendered homeless by the inferno.

Afam4eva: Let me play the devil's advocate for a bit...

These Bishops you named were all based in Lagos and those other places before they were appointed Bishops but i think this Okpalaeke guy was moved from Anambra to Imo where he probably has never worked as a priest before.
It is not in any way an Imo or Anambra thing. I doubt if an Ngwa man is catholic Bishop of Aba or an Ikwerre man is catholic Bishop of PH either. Ahiara is a rural diocese.

AWKA_MADE_GUN: Why are you such a delusional and illusioned persona? You mean owerre and orlu that has been abandoned and turned into a refuse dumping ground with red mud all over the place. Did you read posts by your co imo people that exposed your roches? orlu does not even come close to Ekwuluobia nor Ihilla of yesterday talkless.

From the eye witness imo state is broke, heavily indebted, without a visionary governor, has over 1000 PAs, wasting state resources on too many adverts, using state money to sponsor his daughters wedding, defrauding the state while busy talking on daily basis and above all borrowing so much money without nothing to show for it.
Another warning shot. You live in a glass house remember.

AWKA_MADE_GUN: Where are Roches defenders now? The above throws more light and a major eye opener. imo state people should shine their eyes, this guy is worse than ohakim and ohakim put together. The state has never been lucky since Udenwa
There's no light to throw. Most of those are allegations. There was no LGA election but the normal PDP quack selection hurriedly done to disorganize an incoming Government. The truth is that even your Anambra is yet to conduct an LGA election under Obi. A lot of reasons including use of LGA funds for Government work is involved.

There's no looting because his volume of work is above the States possible income by my speculation. He has overtaken 6year old Governors in 1 year and 8 months. Orlu is today overtaking such State capitals in the Southeast as Awka and Abakaliki in modernity and organisation.

Antivirus92: do these people welcome visitors with kolanut?, do they have 4 market days-eke,oye,afo,nkwo? Do they observe yam as the chief harvest and celebrate it? Do they observe ofo na ogu? Do their first born male called diOKPALA and take over his father's property? Do they have dibias? Do they have names that have the 4 market days as suffix or prefix? , Do they have nze na ozo na ichie?,do they bury or throw away dead bodies that died in a suicide manner? Do they have nsoana and aru?. Let me stop here. Reply me fast abeg.
They don't have Nze na ozo. The inheritance is through women. Let me state my definition of Igbo

1-Chi

2-Ofo na Ogu

3-Ala/Ani/Ali/Ana or Omelala/Amali etc.

4-similarity in language.

Every other factors vary from clan to clan including origin. My problem with you is in trying to ascribe one source to origin of all Igbo clans and towns.

Odili is Ndoni man and in essence more Igbo than Ijaw or any other group. He could not be allowed to take the slot of minorities. Dangote, Ribadu, Ibori and Igbinedion could have been at one end saying "see this okoro man wan use style take the turn of "South-south"
Christianity EtcRe: Imo Catholics Reject Pope’s Choice Of Bishop by abagoro(m): 10:27am On Jan 13, 2013
This is more or less as a result of culture and language differences. Ahiara is a rural diocese and mass services are conducted in the traditional dialect which the Awka man cannot speak.
PoliticsRe: Peter Obi Of Anambra State Is Working, At Least On Roads by abagoro(m): 10:09am On Jan 13, 2013
Onlytruth: Isn't it ironic that the same people who violently reject the idea that Peter Obi is working, sighting the lack of picture proof from those who believe he is working, FAILED themselves to post pictures proving their points? lol undecided

The only critic that attempted to post some negative pictures resorted to posting antiquated pictures taken from years back.
One of Peter Obi's critics here (Abagworo ) who happens to know Nnewi well, has attested to the fact that "Nkwo triangle" is wearing a different look now.
I have a VIDEO proof of long drives I undertook in Anambra, and I will keep it until I have time to snap pictures out of it to post here.

Meanwhile, the more these people lash out at Obi without any picture proof, the more I'm convinced that if I produce my own pictures, they would poopoo it by all means, because they have already decided to play unfair with Obi. That type of "sense enwero isi" cannot snare nwa Anaedo. cool
Bring your own PICTURE proof to show that Obi is not working, else STOP ASKING FOR MINE!
Umu anu mpamagasi. cheesy cheesy
I've not stopped criticizing him. I'm happier with him and many other Governors now after realizing they have to work with very paltry and limited resources. I was unjustly comparing them with Governors like Akpabio, Amaechi and Fashola who have been collecting a minimum of 16billion Naira monthly. However Peter Obi has not done much in the Onitsha I passed the other day. Everywhere is still red and the houses look old and worn out. I also took pictures that could give negative impression but won't post them here to discredit his laudable achievements. He could have borrowed money and transformed Onitsha to a modern market.

Antivirus92: odimma, what is the history of those ohafia/abiriba people? Are they really igbos or one of those igbonised groups?. Is their anscestral root in the east or outside the east? I have stated it clearly that there are two types of igbo people-genetic igbo and igbonised igbos. Fyi, do you know that igbo dna do exist which means there is igbo blood. Why must few communities in igboland like ohafia and abiriba be used to judge the igbo ethnicity? Ngwa has igbo root even though some of their neighbouring non igbos mix with them just like aro. Finally mr history, prove to me that igbo culture and tradition has more differences.
@bolded. What culture do you share with the "Ogbo" people? Is it "Ikipirikpi ogu" or naming pattern or cultural dressing or type of Kingship or the matrilineal society? I'm talking about the upper half of Abia State which comprise Ibeku all the way to Edda in Ebonyi. They give a son the father's name and he becomes Ogbonnia. Then the son gives his son the fathers name and this pattern repeats for infinite generations. Even the lower half of Abia State that comprises Ngwa, Asa and Ndoki still have little in common with Nri/Awka.

Does Igwa mang exist in Nri/Awka area? What's the meaning of the words Igwa and Mang in that language either?

Notice also that the titled men were not on red caps but on long robe-like suites with Portuguese-like hat. The traditional ruler is called Enachioken.

Question-Abagworo is a PH based medical practitioner that has built one private hospital and has 2 cars, what has he achieved in life?

Answer-He is a noise maker and has not achieved anything. All his life he has only been able to study medicine like a million others and managed to build a dead clinic and drives 2nd hand cars. Why does his family believe he is an achiever. They seem to be brainwashed.
CultureRe: Delta Igbo, Bendel Igbo: What Does That Even Mean. by abagoro(m):
Antivirus92: to throw more light on this,if igbo is a collection of different groups of people, i think there will be languages in the east instead of dialects. Again there will be cultures and traditions with much differences instead of what we have in the east today;more related(similar)culture and tradition with little differences. Again, the name "igbo" wouldn't have been widely accepted in the east because the different groups certainly would not like to loose their anscestral name to "igbo". Finally, from all angles it shows that igbo truly exist but who are they?. If your family up to the past 4 generations cannot trace their origin to anywhere outside south east, then you're probably igbo.
To start with the term "Igbo" was very difficult to be accepted and only gained acceptance in the last century for most Igbos. It is the same for many other ethnic groups in Nigeria. In culture, Igbos are not so similar as many here assume. For example an Abiriba/Ohafia man has little to nothing in common with an Nri/Awka man in culture. The naming pattern, marriage rites, title of traditional rulers, dressing, traditional dance, matrilineal society and even "language". Any one who feels otherwise can challenge me on this one.

IMHO, Rochas is the best Governor in Nigeria going by the little money and much work done. There is nothing he can do that will be enough in the eyes of jealous ones. The number of road constructions I saw got me scared because Imo does not really have access to funds like Rivers and Akwa-Ibom but he's measuring up. Owerri is maintained while Orlu has been upgraded. I've not been to Okigwe to ascertain Government presence there. The Imo State secretariat now wears a new look and the Government house area too. Anyone that wants to really ascertain the level of progress in Imo should pay a visit. Free education is a very big feat but I wonder why many people overlook that. Its even better than roads.

Then we should bear in mind that he accomplished all these in two years. Akpabio that is receiving 16billion a month was pelted with pure water and stones in 2009 and that was also his 2nd year in office https://www.nairaland.com/370680/gov-akpabio-stoned-satchet-water. Now compare with imo that receives only 2.6billion after two years. The story in Akwa-Ibom changed after the infrastructural projects began to be noticeable and most completed. These happened almost 4th year of his 1st tenure.

I want to see no Red Cross, no Caritas, no World Council of Churches, no Pope, no missionary and no UN delegation. I want to prevent even one Ibo from having even one piece to eat before their capitulation. We shoot at everything that moves and when our troops march into the centre of Ibo territory, we shoot at everything even at things that do not move," (Benjamin Adekunle, Commander, 3rd Marine Commando Division, Nigerian Army to French radio reporter).

The war aim and (final) solution properly speaking of the entire problem, is to discriminate against the Igbos and in their own interest. Such discrimination would include above all the detachment of those oil-rich territories in the Eastern Region, in addition, the Igbos' freedom of movement would be restricted, to prevent their renewed penetration into other parts, leaving any access to the sea to the Igbos, is quite out of the question, "(Federal Nigerian Minister speaking to E.
